Courtney Henggeler is an actress, model and singer. She portrays Amanda LaRusso in Cobra Kai.
Biography[]
As a child she was definitely theatrical. She took acting lessons in LA. Her first audition was for her high school's production of 'Carousel' when she was in 9th grade. She pretended to eat an apple while singing about clams. Her first significant film and television roles were in 2003 and 2005. After one of the main roles in the B-movie horror film The Bog Creatures, she made a guest appearance in the New York film The Legacy of Walter Frumm and to another guest role in the international television series House, M.D.
Only three years later, Henggeler celebrated in the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory as twin sister of the main character of Sheldon Cooper, Missy Cooper. This was her breakthrough in the film and television business. After this she received mostly only minor supporting roles. She joined the Criminal Minds series that same year, as well as guest appearances in each episode of Roommates, NCIS and Accidentally Happy in 2009. In addition, she also had a new film appearance, in the 2009 20th Century Fox Television movie Two Dollar Beer in the supporting role of Molly. In 2010, she had appearances in the movies True Love, Peas in a Pod and Wing Bitches, where she was always seen in a not insignificant supporting role.
Furthermore, she succeeded in the following, for the first time in her career to date, a recurring role in a television series. In the short-lived and post-season CMT series Working Class, she starred as Rachel in three separate episodes. In addition, she had a performance as a flight attendant in the movie Friends with certain advantages ; In addition, there were two more guest appearances in a single episode of the series Happy Endings and Melissa & Joey . Further scheduled for 2012 appearances she has in the drama Hitting the Cycle and in the still untitled comedy television series by Dan Goor. Beginning in 2017, Henggler landed a main role in the YouTube Premium series Cobra Kai, as the wife of Daniel LaRusso, Amanda. She has reprised her role as Amanda in the show's second & third seasons.
