Yup! I meant to comment it out a while ago and kind of forgot. I have no commented it out so we no longer have to worry about that. Thanks for taking a look! -Eckserah User Eckserah Head Dataminer 16:06, 27 April 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for the Present for being Present![]

Thanks for the gift, Gunny! Here’s hoping the productive discussions we had in the focus groups can lead to equally productive discussions here on the wiki. The Greatest Savior (talk) 18:36, 8 May 2022 (UTC)

Thanks![]

Thank you for the gift, and especially thank you for helping organize the focus groups!

Games template[]

I suggest I give Sakarette's bot temporary content mod rights, so he can edit the pages in the blog space. Talk it over with him. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:46, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

Why do we want to delete the games template? Just let it sit there and see how that works. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:40, 11 May 2022 (UTC)

Archive[]

I'm already seeing two categories with almost the same content: [[:Category:Wiki proposals and applications]] and [[:Category:Wiki proposals user rights]], and now you're creating another category Wiki proposals and applications (archived) that are also proposals and applications. Is this going to get sorted? We don't need redundancy. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:53, 16 May 2022 (UTC)

I've given you temporary content mod rights so you can edit those locked forums. When you're done you can remove them again. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:01, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
If I give you content mod rights for 15 minutes, you can do that site-wide notification yourself, right? You know the ins and outs. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:19, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

( Do you also need those rights in Discord? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 21:15, 25 May 2022 (UTC)

Article talk page demand[]

"You should probably avoid directing your article talk pages comments at a specific user." He re-added the info to the page. "it does not have to be Tag." https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Lieutenant?diff=3876451&oldid=3863962. "Also, if your intention is to communicate directly with Tag, the most appropriate place for that is HIS talk page, not an article talk page, that way you'll be certain he gets the communication." He restored content, and the content he restored had problematic content in it, so discussion about it belongs more on the page talk page than the user talk page. "Is there some reason you simply can not make the edit yourself?" Because it'll probably be reverted and ill get warned for it. " Or why this could not have been asked as a question or phrased as a suggestion to start consensus building on an edit everyone can agree with?" jesus christ we dont need consensus for every goddamn action on this wiki, if we did this wiki would not have made it past 2011. Jesus. "As for the content of your message, I don't feel it appropriate for any one editor to demand edits from another." "Either way, you might want to consider not phrasing your comments to others as demands." do not tell me how i can talk. Mug | Talk 20:51, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

Forum[]

I've let the forum you linked pass. Can you add it to the policy? Do you still need CM rights? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 12:03, 10 June 2022 (UTC)

I've given you CM rights again. When you need them in the future, you can ask me. I on here most of the time and I don't mind you asking. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:34, 10 June 2022 (UTC)

Patroller rights[]

I've given you patroller rights, carry on! Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:12, 29 June 2022 (UTC)

RE: Request for Admin Action[]

I've tossed a line out to Bleep and J to start working through the issues regarding Kate as well as the list of bans that C wanted reviewed by Admin. Hopefully we can start working through these at a reasonable pace, but I don't want to promise you anything over night. More likely than not, it's going to be a slow roll out as we go through the list since our hours have only a few windows of overlap at any given time. But I wanted you to know I got your messages. Hopefully yall have a good 4th, and as things come up, keep sending them. I'm trying to stay on top of the mountain of forums, but I think I'm still at least half a forum behind. The Dyre Wolf (talk) 03:02, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

Dave's ban[]

I've reduced Dave's ban following mostly your recommendations. Thanks for the work you've put into it! Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:04, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

Thank you![]

It's a bit late, but I wanted to say thank you for the support on my content moderator request. It meant a lot to me, and I appreciate it.

Input[]

I was wondering if I could get a moment of your time on the Talk:Sniper rifle page, because I get the feeling this argument might go on at length with just the two of us. I'd prefer input from someone that had more regular access to issued weapons and might have more input on their selection process beyond what I have. Great Mara (talk) 23:15, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

Vote[]

Thank you again old friend. As I'm sure you well know the reconstruction after is the hard part, and I hope the real world allows you to be part of it again. I'll always try to put those principles I know you treasure in the front of my mind. Agent c (talk) 18:02, 24 October 2022 (UTC)

Screenshots[]

The answer is yes, screenshots depicting the entirety of a private DM conversation between yourself and another user was posted into a private administration room within Nukapedia. ---bleep196- (talk) 22:34, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

Hi Gunny, I was going to reply to your message in ModMail but you're not in the Discord server anymore so I'm doing it here. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, we were waiting for a response from the user who shared the messages in question, but they still haven't replied. It has been discussed in the private rights holder channel, and while we understand your concern, the decision has been made not to investigate any further, as it has been determined that this is a personal matter between you and the user you DMed with. Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond to you, Gunny, I’ve been kind of a mess recently and haven’t had much time to think straight in general, let alone think about anything related to Nukapedia. To start, yes, I did share (in the Vault-Tec-Security staff channel) screenshots of a conversation you had in direct messages with Leon, and I apologize for that wholeheartedly. I know you most likely aren’t interested in hearing any explanation beyond that, but I’d like to try to share my side to explain why this happened, though I 100% admit that it was absolutely a lapse in judgement and in hindsight, I should not have done it. There was an ongoing discussion about a situation which you had been involved with several years ago (it was somewhat unknowingly brought up in Leon’s Question Board by another user, which is why it came up at all in the first place) and as part of that discussion I mentioned that Leon had recently spoken with you regarding it. And yes, he did show me screenshots of your conversation prior to that discussion so that I had the context regarding the situation, as it involved something very sensitive that is now (as far I understand) being taken to Trust and Safety, though you’re not the subject of it (in fact, Leon’s main point in showing me the conversation he had with you was that he believed, at worse, you were an unwitting accomplice and had not done anything malicious). After I mentioned that Leon had spoken to you about it, another individual within the channel ‘called bullshit’ that that conversation had taken place, and I, frustrated for a number of reasons, showed the evidence that it did. It was a kind of ‘damned if you do, damned if you don’t’ situation and I unfortunately made the worse of the two choices. It was a lapse in judgement on my part and I should have exercised restraint, and I apologize for not asking your consent beforehand to share that direct message exchange. Going forward, I will be extremely careful regarding these kinds of situations and I will do my best to not let a mistake like that happen again. Savior DJ (talk) 04:06, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

Drawing a line[]

Thanks for your vote. In order to address Leon's concern, would you be able to continue to support it if instead of the current proposed wording, it read:

  • In the event that an incident which occured prior to December 4, 2022 is deemed to be so severe that it must be addressed, two-thirds of users may vote to make an exception and open an investigation into a specific event that would otherwise have qualified for immunity. The process for this vote is as follows:
  1. All current rights holders, excluding interwiki, shall be notified on their respective talk pages, at minimum, that such a vote is to occur, and where the discussion will take place (Discord, a wiki forum, etc). If any rights holders are unable to access the platform or choice, accommodations are to be made to include them. Announcements on the issue should also be made
  2. The discussion shall start no sooner than the last rights holder has been notified, and shall run for a minimum of seven days. At the conclusion of the discussion, a vote will be taken. The proposal to open the investigation can only occur with the consent of two-thirds of the users who have chosen to participate in the discussion.
  3. If the vote passes, an investigation may commence following the current relevant policies. If the vote fails, the immunity for the specific offence remains intact and shall not be challenged in the future.

Alternatively would you continue to support the proposal if requirements for patroller were changed to read:

  • No minimum edit count; can be added if there is a consistent record of good consostent editing conduct over one month (this does not mean every day). Adding patroller can be done by any admin, content moderator or technical moderator, can be proactively offered, and should only be refused or removed where there is either recent rule infractions, or recent edits suggest the user does not understand or is intentionally not following guidelines.

(The effect of this is to make it easier to get into the group that is able to participate, effectively opening the "fortress")

If you can let me know if you could support, one or both of these, and if both, which is your preference. If we've got a clear consensus on that, I'll update the vote, I'll pause it for 48 hours to allow for responses. Agent c (talk) 21:19, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
