Welcome[]

You bet, I think we know each other from Cyberpunk wiki. I edited there for a tiny bit. Welcome to Nukapedia, so glad you are here. Please please let me know if I can help in any way. We need all the experienced folks we can get! -kdarrow Pickman heart take her for a spin! 00:15, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

haha suuree np. Although from what I've seen there's already quite a large and lively community here. That's good thing and I'll try to help from time to time too :D Many memories of FO3 and New Vegas are flashing back aixx those were the times :0 Either way, and question I have I'll let you know ;) --Ryon21 (talk) 01:12, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

Infobox faction and image uploads[]

Hey mate, just dropping by for two things.

First, I saw that you added a label to the infobox faction template. For the future, please make sure that you update the templates documentation accordingly when adding new things. I did it for your addition here. I know that the documentation is overlooked by most folks these days, alas, it is important to have. :)

Secondly, thank you for all those great image uploads, I love that you utilize the copyright template and also add it to categories. Really makes patrolling those uploads easy. Keep them coming.

Have a great day and happy editing. –FindabairMini-JSPnP LogoThe benefit of the doubt is often doubtful. 11:41, 25 June 2021 (UTC)

:O I forgot about the documentation! I normally add it but it was late and I didn't pay attention :'( I will if I ever do it again. I won't forget it now, so thanks for the heads up and for adding it :) And yeah, I try to add everything needed to images and alike so appreciate it you noticed :D I've also seen that letting Fandom add the categories it just puts them on the bottom of the page so I'll also be adding them manually ;) And again, thanks for being so welcoming and helpful! --Ryon21 Signature Image Ryon21 (talk) 12:03, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
No problem, you are quite welcome. Keep up the good work and let me know if you need anything. –FindabairMini-JSPnP LogoThe benefit of the doubt is often doubtful. 15:36, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
I will! :ok_hand: --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image (talk) 21:32, 25 June 2021 (UTC)

Free States[]

Hey, didn't even notice it was you who added that lol. No worries though; it's an honest mistake. Sorry if the edit reason came across as rude or anything XD -- DirtyBlue929 (talk) 00:38, 30 June 2021 (UTC)

Np, context can sometimes be missed when just talking through text. But not a big deal either way, all good :D --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image (talk) 13:08, 30 June 2021 (UTC)

Re: Bus Stop[]

All is good, I got a chuckle out of it myself. :D

Keep up the good work, have a great day and happy editing. –FindabairMini-JSPnP LogoThe benefit of the doubt is often doubtful. 13:02, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Mutant crocodile[]

The two creatures aren't related lorewise and gameplay wise. Great Mara (talk) 21:35, 12 July 2021 (UTC)

They aren't, but conceptually they are. Both are bipedal mutated crocodiles in a Fallout game. That's enough to have a small note about it. --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image (talk) 00:38, 13 July 2021 (UTC)

Cazadores[]

It’s cited specifically in the citations already. BTS isn’t meant for grammar explanations. Great Mara (talk) 14:58, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

One, citations are not used to show information on the page, but to show what the citation itself said. And second, BTS can be used to explain this cases. --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image (talk) 15:43, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
The information is shown on the page and can readily be clicked on to view or scrolled to. Even in mobile. It was needlessly redundant repeated information and so was streamlined when the page was updated. Great Mara (talk) 15:48, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
You don't go to citations to look for information, but to check where the information comes from, so I don't know where this comes from. --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image (talk) 15:51, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

Valiant-1[]

I had to bring the Valiant-1 stuff in line with usual way we do locations, which is by naming them according to how they are labelled in-game. If, for example, the Crashed space station didn't have an official name in-game or under the hood, Valiant-1 would have been perfectly fine. Regardless, you did a kick ass job - here is a prize: Scribe-Howard (waster_93) (talk) FO76 vaultboy transparent face 02:33, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

Babylon playericon comic 18"Awarded for your Valiant effort!"

I'll keep that in mind next time. And thanks for the prize :D --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image (talk) 01:43, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

All my love, Pickman heart kdarrow take her for a spin! 06:51, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

Appreciate it Kate! I'm also eager to work with y'all crazy bunch, and to learn even more. I'm enjoying 76 pretty much, so I'll likely stay for a while. And congrats again for becoming a crat :D --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image (talk) 20:37, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

Solid work[]

Absolutely gorgeous pics of the Silver Bridge, I love them! They look so good. Keep up the solid work! -Pickman heart kdarrow take her for a spin! 22:24, 2 August 2021 (UTC)

hahah thanks!! I wish my computer was better so I could max the game, but alas. They're decent enough if you don't fixate in the shadows too much :'D --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image (talk) 23:02, 2 August 2021 (UTC)

Reaching out[]

Hi Will, thank you for letting me know your views on what is going on. I value everyone's perspective and I don't want anyone to hesitate to bring something to my attention for fear of one thing or another. Please never apologize for adding to the conversation! I need that engagement to make sure I am making the best decisions I can.

I admit I have not yet had a chance to look into the issue at hand (I am just about to leave work) but I will when I get settled at home, feed the kiddos, all that. I just wanted to reach out ahead of time because I felt kinda sad reading your message and I wanted to encourage you to always let me know your thoughts no matter what they are. -kate Pickman heart kdarrow take her for a spin! 23:18, 16 August 2021 (UTC))

As I always say, no hurries. And don't worry, I'm fine and I'll try to speak my mind from time to time :D And more people is involved in this so there are more perspectives you can get to see. Take your time and we'll get this solved in due time :) --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image (talk) 23:27, 16 August 2021 (UTC)

Aiding ban evasion[]

I appreciate you taking the time to explain the edits. It is important that we only add references that support the claim. For example, Captain Zao describing how he released the payload on Boston is not evidence that China launched nukes at the entire United States, and shouldn't be used as a reference for anything other than the fact that he released the payload on Boston. Critically thinking about these things in an objective way is something that is developed over time, and we have to be mindful not to slip into relying on what we have heard before or guessed or assumed in our own minds. I say this because you are a very excellent editor and have a keen mind, and I know that you will only get better as time goes on.

To address the elephant in the room, this is a difficult situation, because I value you immensely as an editor. But speaking to a permanently banned user on topics time and time again and then going to the wiki to add the information that they presented to you is not just having a conversation, its aiding their attempts at ban evasion, which is a serious issue that I can't take lightly. I know that you are innocent and did not know, so that is why I wanted to reach out to explain.

I have warned JCB2077 not to talk to you about Nukapedia issues in an attempt to have their opinions added to the wiki articles, and I am stressing the importance of not adding information you have received from them moving forward. Especially since the information they are giving you is speculative and incorrect, which is reflecting on you, and I don't want that, since I know you have such a sharp mind and are such a brilliant contributor. I hope that we can just put all this unsightly business behind us, I value your work immensely, you are a good friend, and quite frankly, I like having you around ^-^ Let me know if I can help shore anything up in the meantime. -Pickman heart kdarrow take her for a spin! 17:04, 11 September 2021 (UTC)

Charleston map[]

Is that from the game files? Hook me up with where that is from, it looks cool and I am curious! -Pickman heart kdarrow take her for a spin! 01:13, 1 October 2021 (UTC)

So damn cool. I won't cut in line and steal your find or anything. Just make sure to use unused Fallout 76 unused content {{unused}} icon on the image so old people like me won't be bothering you all the time. Tee hee. Keep up the good work, nice to see ya around. -Pickman heart kdarrow take her for a spin! 03:05, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
Hahah np. If you wanna tinker, no problem from me :D Either way, I'll add that bit to the images. Which I think I already did. So, everything done okay? --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image (talk) 03:29, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
Looks fantastic, solid work! -Pickman heart kdarrow take her for a spin! 17:09, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

Steam rewards image[]

Thank you for the info on the image from Steam. I renamed it and added it to the article. We will use the in-game asset for infoboxes, but I agree it is still good to have. Thanks again! -Pickman heart kdarrow take her for a spin! 17:07, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

Drawing a line[]

Thanks for your vote. In order to address Leon's concern, would you be able to continue to support it if instead of the current proposed wording, it read:

  • In the event that an incident which occured prior to December 4, 2022 is deemed to be so severe that it must be addressed, two-thirds of users may vote to make an exception and open an investigation into a specific event that would otherwise have qualified for immunity. The process for this vote is as follows:
  1. All current rights holders, excluding interwiki, shall be notified on their respective talk pages, at minimum, that such a vote is to occur, and where the discussion will take place (Discord, a wiki forum, etc). If any rights holders are unable to access the platform or choice, accommodations are to be made to include them. Announcements on the issue should also be made
  2. The discussion shall start no sooner than the last rights holder has been notified, and shall run for a minimum of seven days. At the conclusion of the discussion, a vote will be taken. The proposal to open the investigation can only occur with the consent of two-thirds of the users who have chosen to participate in the discussion.
  3. If the vote passes, an investigation may commence following the current relevant policies. If the vote fails, the immunity for the specific offence remains intact and shall not be challenged in the future.

Alternatively would you continue to support the proposal if requirements for patroller were changed to read:

  • No minimum edit count; can be added if there is a consistent record of good consostent editing conduct over one month (this does not mean every day). Adding patroller can be done by any admin, content moderator or technical moderator, can be proactively offered, and should only be refused or removed where there is either recent rule infractions, or recent edits suggest the user does not understand or is intentionally not following guidelines.

(The effect of this is to make it easier to get into the group that is able to participate, effectively opening the "fortress")

If you can let me know if you could support, one or both of these, and if both, which is your preference. If we've got a clear consensus on that, I'll update the vote, I'll pause it for 48 hours to allow for responses. Agent c (talk) 21:20, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
