Token of Recognition[]

I want to thank you for all your hard work these past few days, it certainly is noticed! Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:32, October 12, 2018 (UTC)

Where did you find Maria's last name (Chavez)? We're having some discussion if she and Maria (Fallout 76) are the same person. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:40, October 12, 2018 (UTC)
I discovered the last name in this video: https://youtu.be/cGVzgj2RXlg?t=3315 Thanks for the recognitionDango39 (talk) 19:43, October 12, 2018 (UTC)
Nicely discovered, thanks! Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:51, October 12, 2018 (UTC)

My stash box[]

A question, is My stash box the same stash box that is red-linked stash box on the Overseer's cache? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 21:34, October 13, 2018 (UTC)

Yes, I meant to link those. Thanks for checking. Dango39 (talk) 21:35, October 13, 2018 (UTC)

Newlines[]

First of all: Welcome to Nukapedia, and thanks for all the hard work on Fallout 76!

Anyway, there's just a teeny tiny minor thing I wanted to say, and that's that you should use <br/> (so with a space and a slash) instead of <br>. I know there's multiple forms that are technically correct, but it's just a consistency thing I guess.
- FDekker talk 22:39, October 13, 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know how to use it. I was using <br/> initially after Google searching wikia line breaks. After I saw a user had changed some of my entries to <br> I starting using that, thinking that was the right way. I'll use <br/> from now on. I pretty much have OCD, so consistency is important to me, too. Dango39 (talk) 22:45, October 13, 2018 (UTC)
Well, time for me to hunt down the user who "corrected" you then ;-)
- FDekker talk 22:49, October 13, 2018 (UTC)
I starting using it based of User:SwoleRat's changes to The Funnies. He didn't correct me as I hadn't been using line breaks on the page. You have already fixed his line breaks. Dango39 (talk) 22:59, October 13, 2018 (UTC)

Scouts' Life[]

I was wondering, how did you get that large image of Scouts' Life? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 21:00, October 14, 2018 (UTC)

MrMattyPlays happened to pick one up during his gameplay. [1] Dango39 (talk) 21:02, October 14, 2018 (UTC)

Quests[]

Great work on the quest overview page, again my thanks! You pick up how things work here so fast just starting out. Great future ahead of you here. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:54, October 15, 2018 (UTC)

Thanks! I am just copying and pasting from Fallout 4 pages. I took some basic programming classes so its just a problem for me not knowing codes, like how to mark (sic) on transcripts. Unrelated question: what are the rules for capitalization of locations? Dango39 (talk) 18:00, October 15, 2018 (UTC)
You have a talent for this. Sic has the code {{sic}} and locations that have a proper noun keep their name as in-game; locations that don't have a proper noun, like Gypsum train yard, are downcapped. Fallout_Wiki:Editing_guideline#Capitalizing tells about capitalizing, other useful guidelines are found on Fallout Wiki:Editing guideline. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:06, October 15, 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, I didn't know where those guidelines were. I will look those over. Dango39 (talk) 18:09, October 15, 2018 (UTC)

Condition[]

I'm not entirely sure what you have in mind and how it would look like. Can you give an rough workout of both examples? You can use a User:Dango39/Sandbox for it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:30, October 18, 2018 (UTC)

Don't split it all I think, just Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. Condition page remains largely intact with links to the Fallout 4 conditions and Fallout 76 conditions page. (Fallout, Fallout, Fallout Tactics, FO3 and FNV content stays on the condition page). Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:22, October 18, 2018 (UTC)

Thanks![]

Thanks for all of the fixes to the mutations page!

Thanks for noticing and you're very welcome Dango39 🍡🙏 22:25, October 18, 2018 (UTC)

Quest names[]

Where did you find the quest names you put on Fallout_76_quests#Miscellaneous_quests? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:17, October 18, 2018 (UTC)

It's probably the same list with all other quests from the gameplay videos: the top right corner displays that list. ☢ Energy X ☣ 18:22, October 18, 2018 (UTC)
That's correct. They were all sentence case as well. Dango39 🍡🙏 18:56, October 18, 2018 (UTC)
Can you give me a link? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:58, October 18, 2018 (UTC)
I got them from several videos. Here a couple of them: [2][3] 74.130.208.27 22:04, October 18, 2018 (UTC)

Page[]

Making those tables for FO76 consumables, armor and clothing must've taken a lot of time. Hats off to you. ☢ Energy X ☣ 13:20, October 20, 2018 (UTC)

Minor edits[]

Hi there, can you be a little more mindful of what you're marking as a minor edit? A lot of the work you're doing would be consider a major edit, rather than minor. Minor would be things like slight coding or typo corrections. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 07:14, October 24, 2018 (UTC)

Will do. I misunderstood what minor editing entailed. Thanks for bring it to my attention so that I may contribute more efficently. Dango39 🍡🙏 01:47, October 25, 2018 (UTC)

Patroller rights[]

Hey Dango39, just want to say you're doing wonderful and important work here with Fallout 76 coming up. I don't know how you do it, but you're creating large and good content even just starting out. You have a talent for this, pick up things fast. We're very glad to have you here and I hope you continue to enjoy working for our wiki! I'm giving you patroller rights, next step admin for you I think! Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:01, October 24, 2018 (UTC)

Thanks again for the kudos and the promotion! I'm not looking to become an admin, but thanks for seeing the potential in me. Dango39 🍡🙏 22:11, October 24, 2018 (UTC)

Thanks Mate[]

Thank you didn't think of adding that, looks better now. Also, always nice to see other people add to Fallout Shelter.

(Paladin Warpath (talk))

P.S. Have a good day!

You're welcome. I just became a patroller and an admin added the creator to a similar behind-the-scenes I added to Nuka Tapper, so I thought I'd do the same. Fun fact: the sprites in Nuka Tapper look to be from Fallout Shelter! Have a great day as well. Dango39 🍡🙏 05:16, October 25, 2018 (UTC)

76 quotes[]

Okay done, though Enclave still needs a page. Eddo36 (talk) 11:32, October 25, 2018 (UTC)

Fallout 76 key icons[]

What shape had the keys you added? You used the code fo4key00 but that one doesn't exist. (is now a question mark icon). Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:47, October 26, 2018 (UTC)

I did that on purpose. I don't know what the exact shape of the keys were because the player never saw them. One was in a container and he never looked it in the pip-boy, while the other was mentioned in a notification when he tried to open a locked door: https://youtu.be/mjZczClnkzg?t=5377. If you would prefer me to use fo4key01 as default when I don't know, then let me know. Dango39 🍡 17:53, October 26, 2018 (UTC)
Ok, I understand. Let it stay a question mark then for the time being until we know more. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:02, October 26, 2018 (UTC)

Grammar[]

Are you sure of the grammar in the quest name The Battle that Never Was (Versus)? Normally it would be: The Battle That Never Was (Versus), with a capital That. Checked with Songcase.com. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:38, October 26, 2018 (UTC)

It seems the B.E.T.A. was inconsistent in how it capitalized it. You can see it lower case when it starts here: https://youtu.be/myOHK6-13ZI?t=9455, but the miscellaneous quests are upper-case here: https://youtu.be/myOHK6-13ZI?t=9712 so I went with the first. Dango39 🍡 18:43, October 26, 2018 (UTC)

Ghoul's note[]

Proof, please.--ExplorerSmaily (talk) 11:56, November 4, 2018 (UTC)

Quest images[]

Thanks for placing one of my quest images on pages. I uploaded them all, so if you know which quest(s) has of any of these, you can place them there. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:41, November 9, 2018 (UTC)

You're welcome. I added what I could remember. Dango39 🍡

Capitalization[]

According to policy, non-proper nouns are not capitalized. Paladin117>>iff bored; 20:10, November 10, 2018 (UTC)

I thought that was the case, but the map on Fallout 76 locations show all capitalization. And several pages are inconsistent, such as Garrahan Estate, Hopewell Cave, Spruce Knob campground, and Spruce Knob Lake. I am very confused. Dango39 🍡 20:15, November 10, 2018 (UTC)
If pages aren't proper nouns, we decapitilize them. You can redirect capped versions (like Grafton Station) to lowercase Grafton station etcetera. Paladin deleted them, but we might as well keep them, doesn't hurt and they were still in navboxes. Still some decapping to do for pages that aren't proper nouns but aren't decapped yet, like on the Fallout 76 locations pages. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:57, November 10, 2018 (UTC)
Read this, please. ☢ Energy X ☣ 23:06, November 10, 2018 (UTC)

Call to Action[]

There have been quite a few sweeping changes to the wiki lately, and now that the Unified Community Platform has come to fruition here, it's more important than ever for our leadership to get together and inspire innovative changes for the next generation of wiki editors/readers.

As someone who is somewhat inactive myself, I understand how life gets in the way, and I'll fully understand if many of you are unable to commit, but I'd still like to try my best to appeal to you all in getting involved in a few of our currently active projects; especially so since rights-users participating in our discussions/votes are at an all-time low, and many internal decisions are having to be made between a select few users, which is bad for building consensus on important matters.

As such, I would like to ask for you all to look into two of our most important projects right now, as it would mean a lot to me and the wiki if as many people as possible got directly involved in helping shape our future:

  1. The Vault Academy is a program for the training and acclimation of new and even veteran users, training them on how to get involved in the various facets of the wiki, as well as helping them build bonds with their fellow users. The program has kicked off in a big way, and we are in desperate need of more rights-users to sign on as mentors, as we're having to share multiple mentees between each mentor. If you're looking to leave your mark on the wiki, then signing onto TVA program will be your way of doing so.
  2. As a minor update, we now have a new plagiarism point of contact. Should you suspect plagiarized content is at play, please get into point with the user FDekker who will be the initial handler of all such cases going forward.
  3. We have an upcoming meeting of the minds coming up on the 20th of this month, and we need people to come forth and pitch their ideas for adapting to the recent UCP changes, and to possibly adopt some of the ideas that our new datamining friends have been pitching to us.

Thanks for your consideration, and I do hope to hear back from you all! Even if it is just some of you dropping by to check the place out and say a quick hello. 寧靜 Fox 14:12, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
