No. Never watch English shows unless they are targeted for the native speakers. Otherwise you will learn how to make EASY and SIMPLE sentences and some simple and common idioms and phrases. The same with Finnish shows. There are two news shows which I'll use as an example. Other is the news show about stuff that happened abroad and the other one is for the stuff that happened in Finland or at least affects Finland. In the latter show they use harder and more complicated words (such as "mitääntekemättömyydellänköhänkään" and "intellektuellitueteetillaan", even the simple words can be made to be complicated. "Koiralleenkohan" for example translates to "maybe to his/her/its dog"). The other show use simple sentences with simple words because there are more people who watch it and are not native speakers.
Agreed wholeheartedly. I forgot to mention what you said :P.

I'll start you guys off with an English (note the capital "E" as it's a Proper Noun 8{D ) program, so you can hear what REAL englishmen really sound like (very few people have a Posh accent like Kunkka and you'd probably cross the street to avoid anyone who spoke like Pudge, Slark or Bristleback 8{( ).
...and as an added bouns, here's what we think foreign people sound like! 8{D

I've always loved how the British sound like, and I've been trying to imitate the British accent for quite a while now. I'm a little confused by the glottal Ts though. Assuming you're British, Xyrus, when do you use the glottal Ts and when do you just use the T sound?

I can't really help you with pronunciation tbh. I've never had to think about how I pronounce or what I'm using to pronounce things the way I do. I don't think you really need to worry about the pronunciation of "t"s too much though, so long as you can enunciate "bot", "both" and "botch".
Which English accent are you trying to imitate btw? Posh? Cockney? Yorkshire? Geordie? etc. etc.

Basically, there is no universal British accent, remember that Great Britain is made of of several countries, i.e. England, Wales, Scotland *sigh*, Northern Ireland and various overseas territories. Each of those countries, like just about any countries has it's own seperate regional dialiects and accents.
It's like you're asking about an "American" accent, expecting to get advice on how to talk like someone from Texas, but end up getting advice from someone from New York.
Both me and Sando are from the UK, but since we're from different parts of it, his accent is nothing like that of the people around me (I don't have a typical British accent...for some reason I sound kinda Canadian...)
Today we had only one or two bots, banned them all and removed the threads, starting to get better at this, gotta record my ban sessions to see how long they take.

Ah, I see. Sorry, I tend to overgeneralise things :P.
