We have hit a new milestone of having 174 unique hits in a single day! As a comparison, after nearly 2 decades of existence, No Mutants Allowed has had around 900 unique hits as their highest number in a single day.

Our resident Patron LWR Pirate will be starting a radio broadcast soon, with weekly to bi-monthly releases! We will let everyone know when the first broadcast is close to airing.

Within the month, the Moose will be introducing two new community features: Ask Marcus, which will be a Q&A feature where you ask a question, and the question(s) will be answered in the form of Marcus' personality, and the Gourmand of the Apocalypse, which will showcase recipes useful for those attempting to survive out in the wastes!

As of next week, the Moose's newest feature will be in the form of Tragic the Garnering, which is a trading card game available to all Patrons. The game will be sold in a non-profit manner, using credits that can be earned by participating in Moose events. A starter pack of your choice must be purchased through our digital store first, which will cost our Patrons 10 credits/1 point. Additional randomized booster packs can be purchased for 30 credits/3 points, and an expansion box set will be released either late this month or early next month, which will have booster packs that contain specialized cards as well as hero cards, with booster packs that will cost 50 credits/5 points each.

User pages have been updated extensively. Not only have the aesthetics been changed, but our users can now add customized headers to their profile as well.

We have hit a new milestone of having 234 unique hits in a single day! As a comparison, after nearly 2 decades of existence, No Mutants Allowed has had around 900 unique hits as their highest number in a single day.

We have brought someone in to help improve the site, and our new logo was made a bit back. Expect a few changes over the incoming weeks. Specifically, we will be adding slide-out tabs to the main page, and a navigation footer for technical links.

Over the next 2-4 weeks, expect the site's pages to be polished up and more aesthetically appealing. At the end of the process with the inclusion of the slide-out tabs, new logo and footer, we will be officially announcing the Moose as a finished community hub, in which we will begin expanding. A blog will be thrown up something early next month detailing the plans we have laid out.

Tragic the Garnering has now been released! Cards are available through the digital store, and a page will be created this week detailing the rules. However, we have ran into some trouble with the two programs we use (Magic Set Editor & MtG Apprentice), and unfortunately we will not be able to host games online. Until we get a new program up and running that can be available to the community for free, we will instead be selling the cards as collector's items, and we will be setting up rewards for anyone that gets together and plays with the cards in person.

Unfortunately, with the delay involved with TtG and a few other real-world issues, I was not able to get around to including the Ask Marcus and Gourmand of the Apocalypse features last week. Instead, these two features will be released this Friday.

Chris and I (Leon) partially took over as poll masters for a few polls, but we have another user who would like to step up to the plate! He will be offering better polls than we did, and be much more entertaining than we were with the results. On top of that, but he will be updating the polls quite often, with an update schedule of either Monday or Wednesday of every week. Please welcome MountHail to the Strategic Nuclear Moose family!

Our host, Enjin, has done some work on their end which has drastically improved site speeds.

We now have an awesome new site footer on every page that will allow for easy navigation to anywhere you want to go, just with one click!

We are going to start keeping archives of some of our streams, so that users who missed them can come back later and watch them. To view these videos, we now have a page dedicated to this idea, which can be found here.

Many of our pages have been updated and optimized, giving you improved loading speeds and a cleaner interface so that you can see what you want to see, and nothing else.

Some newer people viewing the site had trouble finding particular Patrons' Lounge activities because the names were a bit vague. An example of this was the Cat's Paw; without background knowledge you could not know that it is for game reviews. We have cleared this up by including a short description of those vague things in both the top menu and the footer, so people can find what they want easily.

Some redundant chat rooms have been removed or condensed with each other.

An upcoming update is well in the works to reward those who kindly donate to keep the site going. Some bonuses will include access to an exclusive chat room and sub-forum with less rules, as well as exclusive Patrons' Lounge bonuses, amongst other things. Further details will be released later in the week.

The rewards store is going to be updated soon with tons of new things to spend your hard earned site credits on. We will also be releasing a new way to earn more site points/credits soon.

We are looking for any aspiring Gordon Ramsays to Take control of the Gourmand of the Apocalypse section of the Patrons' Lounge. If you or someone you know likes to cook, let us know - People would love to see your neat recipes!

As of this week, we will be improving our streams greatly. On our front-page, our Patrons can now find a menu that allows you to pick and choose with streamer you are interested in, and you get to both watch and chat directly from the site itself! We have also begun adding bots and new options to our streams - for example, our Patrons are now able to request music while watching. And finally, we will be hosting give-aways now once a week from each streamer available. With only a few viewers, we will be giving out site credits. But should enough people be watching a stream, we will also be giving away other prizes such as Tragic the Garnering cards!

Speaking of Tragic the Garnering, I have been looking for ways to get around the automated program we were forced to scrap, disallowing our Tragic players to battle each other online. We will now be switching over to a text-based way of battling each other, and this system will be added this week, and will be detailed further in next week's Sentinel.

We have hit a new milestone of having 234 unique hits in a single day! As a comparison, after nearly 2 decades of existence, No Mutants Allowed has had around 900 unique hits as their highest number in a single day.

We have hit a new milestone of having 76 registered Patrons! Please make sure to welcome these new members: CaptainCain & Tastykakes66 !!

Finishing these pages up today, the Moose is now introducing three new pages detailing Patron accomplishments. The Achievements page, the Ranks page, and the Titles page. These will be fairly important to look up on, so make sure to check in with us tonight/tomorrow when the pages are complete!

As of today, we will also be creating our Rewards Store, which will allow our Patrons to spend their site credits on aesthetic perks. With the store's creation, we will also begin a new program where content creators receive points every week should they update, and we will also be running give-aways whenever we stream.

We are currently restructuring our leadership system, and sometime this week, we will be forming a Council. The Council will surmise of each of our Patrons that represent the head of their particular faction, and will be made up of the following: Chief Bouncer (Head of Security), Champion Hunter (Head of the Community), 3 Elder Patrons or Hunters, and all site Sysops (currently myself and Chris the Saiyan). The Council's sole purpose is for each Council Member to collect feedback from their friends and peers, and at the beginning of each month, to present this feedback so that we can all gain an understanding of what needs to be improved or addressed, and to set a priority on subjects of importance.

A splash page has been created for mobile users, so that they may have a concise home-page to use for navigation around the site. Feedback is greatly appreciate, and will definitely be taken into account as we are constantly trying to make improvements for those that view our site through mobile devices.

For our V.I.P.s, we now have an exclusive chat-room and forum set up for them. While illegal content is still disallowed, our V.I.P. sections are very lenient, and are good for letting off some steam with a small group of friends.

Our site is now at the point where we will once again be expanding our influences. Because of this, we will be starting our first scheduled feature, which will involve posting site updates every Monday, even if all we have to report on are minor, and we will be updating our site check-list every Friday, which is open to the public for feedback and criticism. We will also be bringing gaming culture news onto the site, which should become a regular weekly deal, although news will be random and not set in any particular time-slots.

Question over the Sentinel
I have gotten little input over the Sentinel's weekly challenge, and so those of us at the Strategic Nuclear Moose would enjoy taking this change to help present a little clarity over this segment. At the very end of each edition of the Sentinel, there is a section titled 'Wrapping Up!'. In this section, we have small challenges that when completed and send into one of the three SNM sysops, will earn you a small amount of credits that really begin to add up as the weeks pass! Most importantly, remember that the weekly challenges do not expire for our subscribers! So long as you send in your entries, you are will remain eligible for the credits prize we set up for them. Our digital store has been updated! Using site-earned credits, our Patrons now have a greater variety of vanity content to take advantage of! Additional content will be added, so make sure to save up your credits!

For those that have earned site items, we now have a banking system that keeps track of what our users earn and use. While empty for now, the bank can be found in our site's footer under technical links.

Our leadership numbers have been thinned out based on activity, and we are currently looking for replacements!

We have a new image policy in place now, which can be found on our about us page. Please make sure to read this policy before adding images onto our site.
