For the longest time, our local guidelines have specified that we rely on the Wikipedia Manual of Style. In the case of infoboxes, our local guidelines do not go into specifics, therefore it is assumed that all infoboxes must follow the Wikipedia infobox guidelines.

Comparison
However, it seems that we have historically and erroneously applied another local policy to override the Wikipedia ruleset. These policies do not cover infoboxes at all, in fact, they only apply to the article title, URL and narrative text.
- The Content organization guideline mandates that we do not overcapitalize article names.
- The Editing guideline mandates that we do (a) not overcapitalize article names or links; (b) ignore in-game overcapitalization when referring to generically named content, such as deathclaw or laser gun, when writing in a paragraph form; (c) capitalize game mechanics, such as SPECIAL, Perks or other statistics. This includes stats like Carry Capacity or AP Refresh.
In conclusion, since there are no policies overriding the Wikipedia guidelines, we are to discontinue the use of undercapitalization in all infoboxes and header sections.

Yes, yes, dear God, yes. It looks so unprofessional to decap, and the policy is so clear that it needs to be capped. - kdarrow

I reviewed a few other large wikis on both Fandom and Gamepedia including Wookiepedia, Elder Scrolls, and Minecraft. The infobox headers are capped on these wikis, so I think we should follow suit. - - Gilpo1 (talk) 17:31, 11 June 2021 (UTC) It has never made sense to me that we capitalize every other table heading except those in the infobox. It's improper style and looks wrong.
- The Dyre Wolf (talk) 05:08, 12 June 2021 (UTC) I prefer the way the upper case looks in the info box. If there is a reason why we do not currently use it, other than traditionally not having used it, I would be curious to hear it.
- The Appalachian (talk) 11:27, 12 June 2021 (UTC) There are no policies against it, and it looks much better as well.

I never really got as to why we were using small letters in the first place. –

The Wikipedia infobox guidelines say “use lower-case unless they are proper nouns.” concerning parameters in the link. Clarify? Great Mara (talk) 10:57, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
- Good question! That's the infobox parameter rules for the template itself. I think that link was included in error. Check here for the correct link. intrepid359
