The pipe bolt-action is a weapon in Fallout 4.

Characteristics[]

Like other makeshift firearms, pipe bolt-action weapons are easily acquired and are commonly carried by settlers and low-level enemies, such as raiders, in early parts of the game.

Compared to the basic pipe gun, the bolt-action variant improves its accuracy at medium to long range.

Weapon modifications[]

While the long finned barrel modification makes it so shot spread does not increase while firing, the pipe bolt-action does not benefit from this for subsequent shots due to how slowly the weapon fires.

  • Pipe bolt-action pistol

Locations[]

  • A pipe bolt-action sniper rifle may be found next to a dead raider in an upstairs room of a house along the road north of the Museum of Freedom in Concord.
  • Trudy at the Drumlin Diner sells a suppressed bolt-action pipe gun. Other mods on the suppressed bolt-action gun that Trudy sells are random, but she will always start the game with at least one suppressed gun.
  • Commonly wielded by raiders and settlers.
  • Automatron (add-on) Sometimes carried by Rust Devils.

Bugs[]

PCPC Using VATS while cycling or reloading will reinitialize loading sequence, making it virtually impossible to fire while under 6 cartridges, for the character will try to reload instead of firing. The best way to avoid this is to wait for the chambering to be completed before starting the shooting cinematic.
