Why did you copy[]

Why did you copy my user page?????????????????????? Like the signature makes me reeeaallly suspicious. ---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 02:11, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

Ok i will change some thing to make it not copied. James Haydon (talk) 03:49, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
I just needed a template but your right, i did use some parts of it. James Haydon (talk) 03:53, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

The Weapons page[]

I see you reverted my edit on the Weapons page. Even though the previous edit before I edited was horribly written in my opinion, I actually thought someone was going to do it eventually. However, when fixing the problems on that page, I recommend removing any problems the page has, such as second-person writing. Chilly Bean BAM! (talk) 16:08, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Okay, i added bullet points and also added item link templates. James Haydon (talk) 16:24, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Why did you add "The Monkey Motivator" to MCD:Drops[]

It is not dropped anywhere, i am confused on why it is there in the first place. --HNaledi123 (talk) 13:51, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Because it existed in the game files and i thought it would be good to list there since it is an item. James Haydon (talk) 15:45, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
How did you decide what levels would drop it? --HNaledi123 (talk) 17:33, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
Because it is a unique variant of the pickaxe so i assume it would drop where a pickaxe would drop. James Haydon (talk) 18:49, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Formatting of disambiguation pages[]

I see that you have added icons and extra links to the descriptions of the entries of disambiguation pages, such as Golem. Icons are generally discouraged as they distract the reader and may cause loading problems, but they may come right after bullets, along with other exceptions. Only one link should be added to each entry of the disambig page; specifically, the article that has the name of the ambiguous term. Disambiguation pages are not articles; they are navigation aids and it is not expected for readers to stay on these pages for long. Thank you. Fadyblok240 (talk) 02:32, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

Personally, i think it makes the page look more fancy and generally more informative. James Haydon (talk) 02:34, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

About the MCD:Spatula to Ladle. And the proof of the Ladle is the skin of axe[]

Thank you to massage me. Just come here tell you I have the data screenshot. But some admin said "Unpacking game data privately is illegal". So it makes me confused. Are there other solutions? Is there any other way for me to give you my proof? OnO AlanMarlon7 (talk) 11:03, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

How is it illegal, i have done it in the past to confirm the name of mobs and other admins (like Oakar567) have used them to see mob textures and make renders of them. James Haydon (talk) 15:25, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

New Dlcs[]

Thanks for helping me to create pages for the new ocean, mountain, nether and end mobs. PedroDungeons1776 (talk) 19:00, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

Your welcome, also i will create the main pages for the new DLC's. James Haydon (talk) 19:01, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion[]

Please don't tag regular files with {{sd}}, that should be reserved only for "vandalism, spam, hoax content, or illegal content".  Nixinova T  C   03:09, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

Okay im sorry i just wanted them to be deleted fast because they have been there for weeks/months and nobody has deleted them. James Haydon (talk) 23:04, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

Hello![]

Today is:
Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

I am a friend of your own friends, Minecraft Dungeons Jungle Awakens and Minecraft Dungeons Creeping Winter. I am here to help with anything related to the Howling Peaks DLC. As a notice, I do have poor eyesight, but I am well trained in grammar, so I won't make too many spelling mistakes here and there. I will be going about editing here and there, so if I need any help, I'll ask you.

From,

Minecraft Dungeons Howling Peaks (talk) 21:46, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

Okay, i was thinking if all theses accounts were made the same person considering they all have similar names. Also, i am 100% okay with you adding on to new content, especially related to Minecraft Dungeons, as many pages are still very much incomplete. James Haydon (talk) 23:02, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
Great! Also, do you know how to access the game files? I tried to, and then my laptop displayed a message: "Access Denied Error 403. Please try again later." That didn't help. By the way, if possible, is there any way to make a render for the Windcaller, "Mountain Illagers", "Temple Golem", and Tempest Golem?
From,

Minecraft Dungeons Howling Peaks (talk) 17:29, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Unfortunately, i cant really make renders of mobs myself, as i dont have the time, software and skills for that kind of stuff. But there are some people who are really good at making mob renders, like Oakar567. James Haydon (talk) 00:57, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

Hello[]

Chicken Jockey Tower[]

Could you make an official render like the one described in the page? TheOrangePick (talk) 04:52, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

I don't have access to the game files, I don't think there is any separate render though. Its just baby zombies stacked on top of a chicken. James Haydon (talk) 20:12, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

Thanks[]

I was really worried I would be blocked for doing that even though I was trying to help it failed :)-/<. again thank you, see you again while editing.

unless i get blocked! ;)--73.89.66.98 16:01, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

No problem, you shouldn't really be that worried about undoing edits, if you need to make any test edits, then you should use the Sandbox next time. James Haydon (talk) 16:02, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Ok, thanks for using your time to help. I used the sandbox and it worked in there I don't know what happened when I put in llama page.--73.89.66.98 16:06, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
You are welcome, just make sure you use the sandbox or show preview button to check your edit before putting it n the main page. James Haydon (talk) 16:11, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
ok --73.89.66.98 16:23, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

Please don't edit other's comments[]

Please don't edit other's comments, even to fix typos. The Great Spring (talk | contribs) (Tagalog translation) 07:48, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

Please stop uploading semi-transparent recreations of minecraft dungeons items.[]

I know you're just trying your best to help, but a large majority of the artifacts images you've uploaded to the Dungeons wiki have had semi-transparent pixels that were not in fact there in the files themselves. For example, parts of the death cap mushroom image you uploaded were semi-transparent. – Unsigned comment added by Athesiel (talkcontribs) at 03:29, 19 December 2020 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

Okay i didn't know. i got the from an article a long time ago. James Haydon (talk) 04:09, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

Blanking user talk pages[]

{{InactiveUserpage}} should not be used for user talk pages. User talk pages are extremely different from userpages, considering they may contain important discussions and are used to communicate with the user. Additionally, there's no reason at all to use it if there are no broken links, even on userpages. In general, the purpose of this template is not to excuse blanking every single page associated with an inactive user, but rather to replace userpages that are full of broken links that are not worth repairing.--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 23:06, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

Many of the userpages i use them on are filled with useless ancient images i tag for deletion, that's why i blank them. Who wants a userpage that is full of links to deleted files. James Haydon (talk) 23:08, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

Patroller[]

I've given you the rollbacker and patroller user rights. This allows you to mark edits as patrolled, where a patrolled edit either has no issues or has been dealt with (i.e. reverted). You also get a new "rollback" button which allows you to revert vandals in one click.  Nixinova T  C   20:36, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

Wow thanks, hopefully that will make it more convenient for me. James Haydon (talk) 20:37, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

A note about sandbox cleaning[]

You can use {{sandbox reset}} to clear the sandbox. You don't need to use the rollback button. TheGreatSpring (talk) 05:22, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

Okay its just lets me do it in one click instead of having to erase the page. But ill give this template a try. James Haydon (talk) 13:24, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
And speaking of rollbacking, don't use the rollback button if it is good faith. TheGreatSpring (talk) 23:13, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
Okay I already apologized to the person I rollbacked but ill need to be more careful when using it, especially since it does it in one click. James Haydon (talk) 01:30, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

Thanks[]

Thanks to your advice, it's really very useful!– Unsigned comment added by Maksom4ik (talkcontribs) at 15:04, 2 February 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

No problem, its my job to help new users like you get used to the wiki. James Haydon (talk) 15:06, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

subst:{{uw1}}[]

This template (user warning 1) does not put your signature unlike user warning vandalism. For user warning #, just make sure to put ~~~~ or else it will come up as missing signature.Humiebee (talk) 18:58, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

Okay sometimes it actually puts my signature but it still thinks that it missing, so it puts the missing signature tag. James Haydon (talk) 19:00, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
No it only put your signature for your most recent user talk page edit involving vandalism as you used subst:uwv but subst:uw1 does not put your signature (like what you did for your 2nd most recent user talk page edit involving vandalism.Humiebee (talk) 19:02, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
Okay well someone should change it so that it does, like with the {{Uwv}} template. James Haydon (talk) 19:04, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
Okay i used the user warning 1 template on an ip's talk page and it put my signature, but it still tagged it as missing signature. James Haydon (talk) 19:10, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

Talk page edits[]

Numerous times, edits of yours on talk pages don't follow the talk page guidelines, specifically rule 3 and 6.

Rule 3:

Do not edit other users' comments, except to sign unsigned comments or fix formatting.

Note that "fix formatting" does not mean fix spelling or grammatical errors, it just means the rules on MCW:TALK#Formatting.

Rule 6:

Do not delete topics or comments, unless they are your own topic/comment and they have not been replied to. An exception is when archiving or if the topic violates one of the other rules.

Many times when you break this rule, it should have been a reply to the comment instead. – Unavailablehoax (talk) 05:38, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Okay I am planning to work on such behavior, but I have discussed about my talk page edit previously before, such as on MCT:Talk page guidelines. James Haydon (talk) 19:33, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
As far as I can tell, only Dhranios, Supeika, and I allow for other people to edit comments.Humiebeetalk contribs 01:55, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
Yes, but maybe more people should allow for editing each others comments, as long as it is to only fix grammar without taking away any context. This discussion is what I am using for my reasoning. James Haydon (talk) 04:05, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
Honestly them editing grammar is very useful. I write fast and as long as they only edit the grammar it is totally fine and very good actually. Also for the 3 people mentioned above, you might be the admins of the wiki but nobody gives you the right to edit people's comments without their consent. This is the minecraft community not your community. I hope you guys remember your real place. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 16:15, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
Yeah well they aren't admins. One of then was a former admin but quit the wiki in April 2021. I really hope we can eventually close of this discussion with a clear consensus. James Haydon (talk) 19:58, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

ayo[]

Just wondering, y u friend me doe? Minecraft Dungeons Flames of the Nether (talk) 17:58, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

Oh because the other Minecraft dungeons DLC accounts are friends with me, so I assumed you would do the same. James Haydon (talk) 18:01, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

Question[]

Why did you revert my edit on the Fox? (Just asking so I do not make the same mistake) --SnowHound11 (talk) 03:12, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

Because there was already a gallery section at the bottom of the page, and gallery sections never go on the top section of pages. If you want to add an image to a gallery of an article, then go towards the bottom of the page and look for a gallery section and add the image there. If there is none, then create a gallery section, but always at the bottom of the page. James Haydon (talk) 03:14, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Because you put it outside the gallery. TheGreatSpring (talk | contribs) (Tagalog translation) 03:14, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

How do you revert my vandelism so fast[]

Just a quick question 24.21.75.141 02:35, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

I have the rollback ability, that's why. James Haydon (talk) 02:35, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

No, I am a patroller, which means I can roll back and patrol edits, can't do anything else though. James Haydon (talk) 02:37, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
That sounds cool. I wonder how many edits/wiki experience do you need to get that rank. 199.243.89.130 23:23, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) An admin promotes you based on how they think you will use it and if you are a good enough editor(or something along those lines) Mugman2000 (talk) 20:05, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Sound Corrections[]

Are you taking a break? 105.184.81.27 12:05, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
I'm not, I was just asleep when you messaged me. But the wretched wraith sounds are correct. James Haydon (talk) 12:42, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
Are you Sure? 105.184.81.27 12:46, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
Yes I am sure, the only thing different is that some of the vocal and foley sounds are combined for some reason. On the ZH wiki they were separate. James Haydon (talk) 13:42, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
Is the Ocelot Sounds Correct? 105.186.117.183 08:34, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Yes I'm pretty sure they are. James Haydon (talk) 15:12, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Is the Whisperer Sounds Correct? 105.186.117.183 14:01, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
Yes they are. If you don't think sounds are correct, maybe download the UMODEL game files and look through them at MCW:Minecraft Dungeons game files. James Haydon (talk) 18:27, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
When you download it, Will you get a virus? 105.186.117.183 18:56, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
No you wont since it is in google drive. James Haydon (talk) 18:57, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
But it said couldn't preview file 105.186.117.183 19:00, 1 May 2021 (UTC)

it's downloading in progress 105.186.117.183 14:19, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
Is the Stray Sounds Correct? 15:15, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
They are. James Haydon (talk) 19:29, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
How did you know their sounds are correct? 105.186.117.183 15:32, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Because they have the sfx_mob prefix that dungeons mobs usually have, however the idle sounds are the base game stray's sounds. I'll see if the Stray has dungeons exclusive idle sounds. James Haydon (talk) 15:37, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
But The wretched wraith doesn't have DLC_sfx_mob! 105.186.117.183 15:42, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
That's because they renamed the sounds, for whatever reason. James Haydon (talk) 15:44, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Does the Sheep Has the unique death and hurt sound? 105.186.117.183 15:52, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Yes it does, all sounds on there have the sfx_mob prefix. I highly suggest you downloads those UMODEL game files and have a look there yourself to do the confirming. James Haydon (talk) 19:05, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
I  Agree with NineTreyBlud, this conversation is becoming quite long and I think you shouldn't be solely relying on this user to help you. 199.243.89.130 23:01, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Disruptive editing by 75.159.128.244[]

I found the disruptive edits in Minecraft Wiki:Admin noticeboard by an IP, which aren't belong in the admin noticeboard. The content was added with “My Minecraft world became a home for entity 303.” with the header titled “My world” and has been reverted. Another one is added with “Please help” header and the “My seed is 1231066751, check it out to see if there is random cobble any where thanks, post your findings in the wiki thanks for your help, and post ideas for dealing with entity 303 on the wiki. thanks!” has also been reverted too. Why? 49.228.136.56 02:48, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

Because it's asking for help with a technical issue, which is not what the admin noticeboard (or wiki talk pages in general) is for. Also Entity 303 is not a real thing at all and is just a fan theory, which also shouldn't be discussed on the MC Wiki either. If anyone is having issues with the game, they should head to the Minecraft community support discord, or maybe to the bug reporter or the feedback center. James Haydon (talk) 03:08, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

File Revert[]

Can you Revert File:Bonemeal1.ogg File:Bonemeal2.ogg File:Bonemeal3.ogg File:Bonemeal4.ogg File:Bonemeal5.ogg back to April 19 2021? 105.225.91.157 19:02, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

I just needed confirmation that it wasn't changed in the snapshot. NexaForX confirmed it. James Haydon (talk) 13:04, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

Nothing 105.225.210.9 13:13, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Was there a vandal there yesterday or something? James Haydon (talk) 14:06, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
So I went to that Special Page because I need to see some vandals so I can revert it 105.225.210.9 14:11, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Okay so you wanted people to intentionally vandalize the wiki so that you could revert it? James Haydon (talk) 14:13, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Yes 105.225.210.9 14:14, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
That's an odd thing to ask for. I know you want to revert vandalism, but that doesn't mean you should be wanting people to vandalize. If anything it should be the exact opposite. James Haydon (talk) 14:16, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

The page inconsistency you were talking about[]

Do you think we should change that, or not add the (DLC) tag to any mob pages? Mugman2000 (talk) 19:55, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Well I am considering it, but it will take a lot of work considering how many mob pages there are. The DLC thing has already been done for items, so having them for mobs is a good idea. James Haydon (talk) 03:12, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

What happened to the warning icon?[]

Can you please tell me what happened to x32xp? 105.186.185.134 09:04, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

It works now. There was a database issue that cause all technical images to not work, like achievement images for example. James Haydon (talk) 00:58, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

Baby Ghast Sounds[]

Why is nobody adding sounds for this mob? 105.186.82.97 08:47, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

Because I think it just reuses the ghast sounds but at a higher pitch. But I'll check just in case it has its own separate sounds. James Haydon (talk) 13:07, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
did you found them? 105.186.82.97 10:50, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
Wait are you asleep? 105.186.82.97 10:25, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
No, just been busy lately. James Haydon (talk) 12:43, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
So did found in the game sounds? 105.186.82.97 13:19, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
I found two exclusive ones. The rest of its sounds are higher pitched versions of the ghast sounds. James Haydon (talk) 13:22, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
so will you upload them? 105.186.82.97 13:25, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
Yes. James Haydon (talk) 13:28, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
So what time/day are you gonna upload them? 105.186.82.97 13:52, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
Sometime today. James Haydon (talk) 13:54, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
Why did you stop uploading? 105.186.82.97 15:17, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
Was just taking a break. Will start again now. James Haydon (talk) 15:18, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
So you uploaded 2 exclusive sounds for the baby ghast what are the reused sounds? 105.186.82.97 15:38, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
The ghast idle and death sounds are the ones reused. But they are higher pitched as I said, so they would need to have their pitch altered to be put on the page. James Haydon (talk) 15:41, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
and the hurt one is also reused? 105.186.82.97 15:45, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
No, because the baby ghast can't take damage. It can only idle and die instantly if it falls off of the map. James Haydon (talk) 15:47, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Different Sounds[]

does Pink Slime have different sounds? 105.186.82.97 17:07, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

It does not. James Haydon (talk) 17:08, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
do they sound the same like attack, death and hurt? 105.186.82.97 17:10, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
Probably, as they have absolutely no exclusive sounds in the files. James Haydon (talk) 17:17, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
so did Blaze Spawner sound different? 105.186.82.97 17:18, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
What's taking too long? Does blaze spawner have different sound? 105.186.82.97 07:04, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
This is taking to long! 105.186.82.97 14:04, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
I checked, and it seems there are no Blaze Spawner sound effects. It just uses the regular spawner's sounds. James Haydon (talk) 14:09, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
Does Wavewhisperer, Quick Growing Anemone and Poison Anemone have different sounds? 105.186.82.97 14:14, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
Yes the Wavewhisperer does have its own sounds. I'll upload them. I could not find any for the anemone mobs though. James Haydon (talk) 14:18, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
do you mean there is no game file sounds for the Quick Growing Anemone and Poison Anemone? 105.186.82.97 15:36, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

Sound Corrections 2[]

Does the Whisperer and Leapleaf have death sounds in game files? 105.186.93.53 15:02, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

No they don't. I searched up Leaper and Whisperer in the sounds folder, and no death sounds came up. I advise you to download the game files from MCW:Minecraft Dungeons game files to check for yourself. James Haydon (talk) 13:39, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
But the download failed, I am in mobile, my computer is not working. 105.186.81.169 14:11, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
It's a zip folder, which I'm not sure you can extract on mobile. Just try downloading it again, and make sure you're signed in to google drive before downloading. James Haydon (talk) 14:13, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
Does the Parrot have sounds in game files? 105.186.81.169 17:18, 4 June 2021 (UTC)

Yes, I just uploaded the Sunken Skeleton sounds. I will upload the Drowned sounds, but it will take some time as I will have to add them to all of the Drowned's variant pages. James Haydon (talk) 18:33, 7 June 2021 (UTC)

Ben's official renders.[]

Hi there. I gladly appreciate the fact that you are adding the one's I haven't yet to the wiki. However could you tell which ones are? It's because I then don't know which ones I need to add and which ones are already there. I'm about to add the Howling Peaks ones so please don't add thouse. Thanks. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 08:20, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

I added the Echoing Void ones. Sorry for the late reply I was on vacation. James Haydon (talk) 02:09, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Gallery updates removed.[]

Hi. May I ask why are you unorganizing the galleries? They are all consistent now and far more organized. Don't mix textures with renders that makes no sense. The gallery should be easy to understand for the average user and have good information. Also the image descriptions all use the same type of sentence so it is consistent and clear. Please don't change the gallerys. They take a lot of my time and work and they are just far more organized and logical. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 02:26, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

I prefer that not every image has the same generic description except if it is a texture or render, especially if said image is of a mob preforming a certain action. James Haydon (talk) 02:28, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Ok you do whatever you want with the description if that is so important. Just don't mix topics. That is key for a good wiki. No wonder why microsoft took away the legitimacy of this wiki. Topics are to be organized. People can see what the mob is doing. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 02:31, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
No need to take a jab at this wiki. I understood what I did wrong but gameplay screenshots should be counted as renders. Now I don't work at Microsoft, but I'm pretty sure Microsoft would not care that much if someone dares to mess up a gallery. James Haydon (talk) 02:32, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
You did nothing wrong. You are just doing your job and what you think is right and I respect that. I'm just trying to prove my point. This wiki is very inconsistent. I'd like to make it more consistent. And you help a lot with many of the edits you've made like licensing and placing. However I think my gallery model for all mob pages works just fine. That would be open for debate however. My apologies if I was rude. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 02:36, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Yes and I do respect you for going out of your way to help make stuff consistent (the MCD weapons/armor/artifacts pages especially have an issue with that due to the sheer amount of them). Just not used to someone attempting to unify image descriptions before. James Haydon (talk) 02:40, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
I understand, however, innovation is key. I'm not the boss of this wiki, and even if I was, I have no right to just do whatever I want without yours and everyone's consent. A united community is a happy community. I think unifying descriptions makes it easier and faster to make it consistent. If you don't know what to write on the description you don't have to worry, just follow the model for other pages. The Mojang devs still like and use/mention this wiki. I want us to show Microsoft that we matter and that without us the game would be nothing. We deserve some respect as one of the biggest gaming communities on the planet. Thanks for everything. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 02:45, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Great point! And I apologize for the edit war we had earlier. Also BTW have you considered uploading any more of those official art images to the wiki? James Haydon (talk) 02:51, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Yes indeed. I will try to find a consistent model for items, weapons, artifacts and armor. The model should be consistent and user friendly, which means the design should promote the addition of information fast and simple. I will also dive deep into developer portfolios on development of the game just like Ben's portfolio. Thanks mate. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 02:56, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
No problem. Also the old texture for the snareling was already uploaded to the wiki. James Haydon (talk) 03:00, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
If you want to removed those gifs on the Tempest Golem page for your updated gallery, make sure to tag each of them for deletion since they will basically be linked to no page. James Haydon (talk) 03:06, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Ok thanks for reminding me bud :D. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 03:19, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Tempest Golem GIF's.[]

Hello. Since I assume you had quite the work to give this wiki the Tempest Golem GIF's and they have a consistent and understandable description I think we should actually keep them not delete them. They are considered gameplay I suppose. The gameplay section of the gallery can have anything that is made by players like shots from the game, GIF's and even videos. So I placed them there and didn't change anything else about them. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 03:25, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Actually I never added those gifs since I rarely actually record my gameplay. But whoever did put a lot of effort into making them, so I agree with you on that one. James Haydon (talk) 03:29, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Mob Gallery Empty Gameplay Section.[]

Hi again mate. I figured the majority of the gameplay sections for the new gallery model of Minecraft Dungeons Mobs is quite empty. I wanted to advice that I might go offline for a few hours because I intend to hop on Minecraft Dungeons since I have the Ultimate Edition of the game, and screenshot most interesting boss fights and mob events so they are added to the gallery update model with high quality. Also sorry for my grammar. I write very fast. =D Witheremperor2006 (talk) 03:44, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Okay I have Minecraft Dungeons too with all the DLC's unlocked so maybe we should friend each other (optional). Having in-game screenshots for various mobs, especially powerful mobs and boss mobs, would be definitely appreciated. James Haydon (talk) 03:46, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Sure we can be friends. Also I have a suggestion. The variants of the Pillager and Vindicator have their own page (Tough Pillager, Tough Vindicator). I understand they have different designs but after looking in the game files they are exactly the same model and mob. The only difference is in the skin. Should the pages be deleted and all the variants of the pillager and vindicator be present in the main page of the mob itself?Witheremperor2006 (talk) 04:01, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Yews this is also an in-game thing as hovering over any armored variant of a mob will just show the regular name of the mob without the "armored" "elite" "tough" etc. part. This has been a long wanted change but no one has seemed to discuss it very much, at least not enough for any change to be considered. But it could work especially to get rid of all these conjecture names (maybe except for armored since it could be useful for some people). This also applies with Tough Zombies, Tough Skeletons, Tough Piglins, Tough Piglin Hunters, and Tough Drowned. About the friends part, what is your XBOX username? Just so I can friend you (unless you play on PS4/PS5). James Haydon (talk) 04:28, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
The "Tough" mobs name was said to be how they are referred in the weekly challenges of the adventure hub. This information still is looking to be confirmed, so that we know truly if "Tough" is a conjecture term or an official term. Also, having separate pages for each mob variant simplifies each mob page, making it easier for people to find specific things they are looking for.Drour1234 (talk) 12:43, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
I agree with you however in the game files they are the exact same mob. The only thing that changes is the texture. Even the 3D model is the same however the helmet is transparent for "regular" pillagers, vindicators, skeletons, zombies and piglins. My argument is based purely on the game's files. This wiki once said that the ravager was not an illager in vanilla minecraft java edition. I had a fight with them but they insisted. I proved them wrong with the game files and the mob's code where his family of mobs is described. The same goes for these mobs. If people search Vindicator for example, they will find all 3 variants (in the game the only difference is the textures being called variant 1, 2 and 3). However, that decision is for sure up for debate, however I do not count in Mojang Studios or Double Eleven to confirm the mobs. Much obliged. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 19:55, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
The "Tough" mobs name should stay as it simplifies each mob page, making it easier for people to find specific things they are looking for and also the names from the game files are in the data values section.Drour1234 (talk) 12:34, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
Completely disagree. Using the unofficial term "tough" is misinformation. I will use Vindicators as the example for this argument. Like it or not there is no such thing as a tough Vindicator (example). There is only a vindicator with 3 different variants and that's it. I don't care about making it easier because all the variants in the same page is way easier because people don't have to search for stuff. The tough/armored/elite/whatever mobs are just reskins of the original mob. The 3d model is the same in the game files. The mob's behavior is also the same. as well as sounds and animations. Like it or not that's how it is. I'd like people to stop being inconsistent. It's about time mob variants go to their specific original page. I propose moving and merging pages to accomplish this. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 15:02, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
We do not know yet if "Tough" is official or conjecture. We need to find out whether the weekly Challenges refer to those variants when it says "Tough Mobs". If it refers to other mobs in addition to those variants, then those mob variants can be merged with the regular mobs. But let’s wait to see first. Also, the Twitter references are useful, and I do not think that they should be removed (maybe those links should be moved from the gallery section, but those links should be somewhere.Drour1234 (talk) 15:48, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
I just have one question, what makes you think the weekly challenges refer to them as "tough" mobs? Did you see it in a YouTube video? Maybe you have a copy of the game and you thought you saw it there once? Maybe you saw it on a Reddit or Twitter post? A concrete answer would be nice. James Haydon (talk) 19:55, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
I had originally heard of weekly challenges referring to the mob variants as "Tough" mobs from another wiki editor (I forget who though). I recommend that you look at this: Minecraft Dungeons talk:Tough as this is a very complex topic that has not been resolved yet. I am very unsure what we should do about the Tough mobs. I would like to keep them as separate pages, but recently I really am not sure. If it comes down to it and there is no other option, I guess they will need to be merged with the regular mob pages without loosing any information in the process.Drour1234 (talk) 21:05, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

Unused Mountaineer Variant 2 Idle Isometric Render "Duplicate".[]

Good evening. I wanted to address the following situation to you considering you are really the only individual I trust and often communicate with here on the Minecraft Gamepedia Wiki.

There is a file named Beta Mountaineer.png. This file is a png file of an unused design for the second variant of the Illager Mountaineer mob (The red one) in the Minecraft Dungeons Howling Peaks DLC. This file is presented in the page Minecraft Dungeons: Tough Mountaineer.

The issue is, the same user that uploaded Beta Mountaineer.png, user MrAlanWong, also uploaded a file that, although not the same file due to the clear difference in the number of pixels, is the exact same isometric idle render of the second variant of the Illager Mountaineer mob from the Minecraft Dungeons Howling Peaks DLC. This duplicate file is named Unused Beta Mountaineer Variant 2.png. This second file which is actually older than the one used in the mob page, is indeed used in the page Minecraft Dungeons:Unused features however why should it be a second file of one that already exists?

My question is, should one of the files be deleted so it isn't using unnecessary space in the wiki and considering it is basically a duplicate? Much obliged for your time my friend. I await your response. Thank you. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 13:47, 15 September 2022 (UTC)

File Links:

https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/File:Beta_Mountaineer.png
https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/File:Unused_Beta_Mountaineer_Variant_2.png
I think we should keep the latter since it has much more file history. We should then move it to the title of the other one once it gets deleted. Thank you for bringing this up to me. Also just wanted to tell you that I have uploaded a lot of very high res images to the wiki in the past couple of days. James Haydon (talk) 14:32, 15 September 2022 (UTC)

Thank You[]

I just want to thank you for updating my careful piecing together page. I appreciate you going out of your way to improve a page that you honestly could have left alone. For that, I thank you. Kind people who do things for no other reason than being kind are a rarity in life. If there is something that I can do in return in the future when your need for help is dire, let me know so that I can repay my debt. With all of this in mind, I thank you again.Drour1234 (talk) 05:46, 16 September 2022 (UTC)

No problem. I just found it because a file linked to it and I figured I would do some maintenance to that page. Since it's in your userspace now do you think you will make any more changes to it? James Haydon (talk) 17:46, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
I probably will make changes to that page, though I have a lot on my mind in real life. Also, I just noticed that Amatulic added me to the autopatrol, through the justification that I am active and I have experience. The problem is that I do not have enough experience and I do occasionally make mistakes in my edits. Is there any way that you could remove me from the autopatrol?Drour1234 (talk) 19:55, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
Going to be honest here, autopatrol doesn't really mean much. All it does is it automatically marks any edits you make as patrolled. Only people with the patroller rank or higher can see if edits are patrolled or not, so it only benefits admins and generally wiki higher-ups. Autopatrol also doesn't mean that you absolutely have to be a perfect editor. I have patroller and autopatrol and I still have a tendency to have slip-ups here and there and you will likely lose it anyways if you become disruptive enough. I am not a true administrator therefore I cannot get rid of your autopatrol, but I really suggest you don't let it get to you and see that the fact you have autopatrol is a great priveledge. James Haydon (talk) 18:50, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

Render Placeholders[]

Hi man, just wanted to say massive thank you and massive respect for helping me with the licensing. My placeholders are, as the name suggests, just placeholders. Because they are not 100 loyal to the game they are not ment to be the main renders. However they are 90% acurate and they sell the idea pretty well. They take some time to make but I figured until someone ads the actual ones this could be a good improvement for the wiki. I'm going to make most of the enchanted mobs and ancients. Again massive thanks and respect for your help! Witheremperor2006 (talk) 20:16, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

See what I said on BDJP's talk page. James Haydon (talk) 00:56, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
Bro this was written before that conversation. This was days ago. You didn't have to bother answering this. Thanks. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 13:42, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

Addressing innovation[]

Good evening. I understand you have much work to do however I would like to ask you if you could read what I suggested on the following page down below about changing the mob face/head format. I beg you do read with an open mind when and if you have time to do so. Much obliged. https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/File_talk:DolphinFace.png Witheremperor2006 (talk) 00:19, 5 October 2022 (UTC)

I see you put a lot of effort and time into your proposal. The 3d faces you made look very cool, but this is a very major change as it involves changing every one of the mob faces, potentially even those for other Minecraft games. I would suggest taking this up to the mob talk page or even the community portal. It will get much more of an audience there than on some file talk page. James Haydon (talk) 16:28, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
I perfectly understand. However I do have all of the mob heads from Vanilla Minecraft's mobs. I Also have a few heads from Minecraft Dungeon's mobs but only a few of them. I just think this would indeed work better and the conflict about pixel size of the face's would pretty much end. Thanks for your suggestion as well. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 17:01, 5 October 2022 (UTC)

Why you delete my images?![]

Why you delete my images(of minecraft earth cow and pig)?! – Unsigned comment added by Illusioner4545 (talkcontribs). Sign comments with ~~~~

Because I already had added them and the update is coming in a few days so there is no point uploading any images of them since we will be able to make renders of them. Also for your piebald pig edit, you didn't add the image properly either. Sorry if I did not specify that in my edit summaries. James Haydon (talk) 18:57, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

My apologies. I saw your name and thought it meant bad news. I will say though that description is quite a long one though and also makes mentions of stuff from other games. I'll ask around to see people thoughts on it. James Haydon (talk) 01:40, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
