Who Else Will Be Admin?[]

The fork was 132 days ago. No ones been promoted to anything since then except for SLScool, SLSbot, and some soap. I think we need more than a bunch of patrollers who forked and one admin. Who will be new patrollers and who will be new admin?StuckInAHypickle (talk) 07:30, 4 February 2024 (UTC)

I've promoted everyone to autopatrol or patroller that I can think of. I know the wiki had a process of sorts for recommending and promoting people to admin, but I never paid attention to it and I won't be following it unless someone wants me to and can point me to the rules on how it worked. Help! My dolphins keep dying[]

I am making an amusement marine park (for fun) and my dolphins suddenly take damage out of nowhere and I lost 10 dolphins that I tried permanently keeping, I have 50 tropical fish next to the dolphin tank and 5 glowing squid and none of them died, I’m on a PlayStation4 and in Bedrock Edition, this is my first time on this wiki so sorry if I mess anything up!

They die a few minutes, usually 10 to 20 minutes after I put them into the tank, they die later when i put a lead on them and get them out of the surface of the water and put them back in, I’m trying to find a solution because this is bothering me a lot and none of my other animals have the same problem.

2 other marine parks I made in seperate worlds also got corrupted so I had to delete them because it tells me to

Unlike tropical fish and glow squid, dolphins need both air and water. They start to die after being underwater for four consecutive minutes or after being out of water for two consecutive minutes; see Dolphin#Weaknesses for more information. I recommend leaving a gap of a few air blocks at the top of the tank. SLScool 21:33, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

Removing Snapshot Articles[]

SLScool and I have been thinking, and we don't know if we really need snapshot articles anymore. If you've worked on snapshot articles since the fork, I want to say thanks and point out, instead of making mediocre snapshot articles, you could now focus on making really great content articles. We were also wondering if we should stop being so reliant on Lua when no one on this wiki knows how to use Lua anymore, and this would be a good way to test it. So, we'd delete the snapshot articles, add simple lists of snapshots to the actual version articles, and clean up any red links. If you're an editor on this wiki, please share your thoughts. Only 4 wither skeletons spawned so far in my 1.5.2 world. I resorted to mining out 2 70x20 rectangles with a 3 block roof and with a floor of nether bricks in the middle of the fortress. These rectangles still had some of the original pathways of the fortress in it and still noting spawned. There is not a single light source or open block leading to the outside. I tried turning it on peaceful mode and turning it back on hard for a few minutes many times and still none spawned. I tried this many different distances from the clearing. I even tried going back and fourth from the nether and the overworld. I can not think of nor have I found any way of getting them to spawn except wither roses which I cant get without wither skeletons. Please help me, i'm just going to keep trying to spawn them until this gets a response.IllllIlIvII (talk) 01:40, 26 March 2024 (UTC)

I opted out of the April Fool's image flip by editing my user CSS. See User:Noisy miner/common.css. I think they should have included a notice explaining how to opt out of the flip. The fact that it was April Fool's Day does not mean it wasn't important to be able to see the images properly. By the way, I only noticed it when it was April 2nd for me; fun fact, most April Fool's content I've seen is in fact April 2 content according to my timezone. And seeing https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.css?diff=2357787&oldid=2357747, the images were actually flipped for a day and 50 minutes, meaning that there is nowhere on Earth where it was April Fool's Day the whole time, unless daylight saving time ended on April Fool's Day, making it last for 25 hours, which probably didn't happen this year. Updating the Wiki's Policies[]

Eight months ago, the wiki forked, and almost all of the active users left with it. This significantly changed the remaining community, which in turn has affected how things happen on this wiki. To reflect this change, we should update the wiki's various rules and guidelines. I'd like to invite all of you to share your ideas on how to improve operations around here, whether or not they are specifically in response to our community shrinking. I have several ideas, but I'll start with one. Two months ago, I called for the removal of, and later outright removed, snapshot articles. Next, I'm debating extending this idea to most of the mob and block renders on this wiki. For those who don't know, the wiki hosts images of every block and mob with every texture they've ever had. Remove pre-1.0.0 versions[]

Versions of Classic, Indev, etc require a lot of maintenance to keep up with the latest discoveries in the archival state of versions not in the launcher, etc. Since the fork this wiki's Classic and pre-Classic pages are already becoming outdated. There's a risk of keeping misinformation as this wiki has no editors in that space anymore, and also already (I've only checked two pages!) I've found fake download links to lost versions. So deleting these pages is something to think about too.  Support This is a big problem. It may seem small, since the only thing outdated is if we have the file and where but, this is actually a big deal. The Minecraft Wiki has moved and this wiki in Fandom is now outdated, so why is there pages about 1.21 in the fandom wiki if it's already moved? I even added a candidate for deletion template on two of the 1.21 pages until an admin reverted it and didn't give a reason. What the heck?

Hey, so Fandom has a Forking Policy that says this wiki continues when it forks, and we can't make any rules to stop people making 1.21 articles on this wiki. Some people chose to make those articles on this wiki for whatever reason, that's why they exist. So you can't delete those articles because that's "Not how it works", and that's why SLScool removed your deletion templates. StuckInAHypickle (talk) 07:40, 29 June 2024 (UTC)

Has anyone ever befriended an Enderman?[]

I have an Enderman in my world and he recognizes me and he is friendly to me. He has been friends with me ever since I saved his life. Is this something that can happen? I have never heard of such a thing so I was wondering of this has happened to anyone before.
