Robots pages[]

Absolutely fantastic job getting those pages up. A lot of them already have their real-world characters (made by myself or other participants of the history project, or just existing before its inception). We're doing it for all of the articles that have Checks by them in the 2 pages of Charts that are linked on the Project page. Skire is going to ask Toci to program a bot to do what we are doing, but until then I'm going to keep adding it in.

Quotations[]

Was wondering if you and Nuka could maybe look at the Fallout (film) page. I think this is a page that could do with a bit of a rewrite, and correct use of referencing (ref tags to the USPTO registration rather than quoting the serial numbers in line). Referencing is fairly easy. Where you want the footnote to appear you add <ref>(The reference here in usual wiki format, so you can use links as normal)</ref>

Then at the bottom of the page in the references section you add <references/>

so it ends up looking like this:

Search results[]

I checked a number of more common searches (fallout 4, fallout 4 info, fallout 4 news, etc.) and we're coming in as the first wiki on all of them. Not real sure who would search for "fallout 4 portal", so I'm not that worried. I'm also not very well versed on everything that goes into google site rankings, so I'm not sure what else we can do to raise that particular one. It could simply be because theirs was up first, and we're getting penalized for putting ours up later. If so, that should iron itself out, as long as we get more links and hits on ours (at least in my poor understanding of how those rankings work). Gunny already gave the go ahead for the template, and I am not verifying all these bugs, all bugs that were present before the template was implemented and don't have the Verification needed tag or platforms needed tag are to have the new template placed by them. I believe they're the only two without pages right now because they are the only two who are never mentioned directly in the game. They are in the infobox because they were, as you said, actual historical figures who were in the Second Continental Congress. ADB[]

Hello, S&S. This is a message that I will be circulating through Nukapedia's Sysops. A while back I had created a more suitable version of the Administrators' Discussion Board as an attempt to help regulate important matters that require immediate attention from the veteran users around Nukapedia. With Fallout 4 on the horizon, I would like to begin making this feature more widely embraced, so that we all are more comfortable and familiar with using it for when the time comes around that we'll need to look towards it the most. What I would like to see is for an example to be set for where certain matters should be discussed within our community, as well as creating an environment where users will know that their issues will be addressed in a timely and fair manner. What does this mean, exactly?

• Appropriate topics should be addressed within the ADB instead of the normal fora space. Not only is the ADB a general area to condense important topics, but it is also always kept at the top for easy access. (As well as having a place within the Community Messages.)
• All Administrators, Moderators, Patrollers, and Bureaucrats should make it a priority to check through the ADB at least once every few days or so. This is the duty of mantling the extra tools, after all, and is not too much to ask for.
• The ADB should make an appearance within new user's welcome message.
• If a topic within the fora has been made that is of significant importance and affects the wiki as a whole, these topics should be moved into the ADB.
  • It is my hope that these requirements will help our community become more familiar with where they should go to have their grievances and ideas properly heard. Right now, the ADB has been largely ignored because the Sysops have also largely ignored it, and this is unacceptable at times when important matters such as this one are mostly by-passed except for a couple of people. With the chaos that is soon to come with the new title(s), all I am asking is for a bit of responsibility in making sure that we all recognize issues and ideas as they come up, and making sure that we do our parts in seeing them through. Thank you for reading, and I would greatly appreciate some feed-back. Once a general consensus has been reached, possible changes will be taken care of.

Admin Request[]

I'm fine with users having a negative opinion over my 'no' vote for Theo. But I am going to respectfully ask for you to not slander my name in retaliation for it. Especially when you are blatantly lying. I want to make two things clear to you:

• I have actually voted yes for most special rights requests, and I've always given a fair and respected view. And I've remained absolutely neutral during requests where I knew where I had a bias view. (See: Cartman's reconfirmation for a good example.)
• If you would have actually bothered to read the debate/argument going on, you would see that my concerns hardly ever even mentioned the chat feature. If you're going to insult me, please make sure to get your facts straight.

I really do appreciate the more civil response. But yes, I do like to see proof of a user's abilities before I can put faith into them. Most users easily have this proof available through their interactions with other users, but with Theo personally, the guy has hardly even talked to more than a handful of people here, and usually just over technical insight. And after him leaving over a minor conflict with Clyde even though he already had made commitments here, all I could do was imagine him doing the same thing again and again whenever any sort of conflict presented itself towards him again. And while I hate to say this, as I was looking forward to him winning and proving me wrong, he has now once again abandoned Nukapedia over my 'no' vote. And this time, he had many more commitments that he was responsible for seeing through. I respect your opinion over the matter, S&S. But after him leaving for the second time over the second example of conflict ever presented to him, I cannot see him ever being able to handle the Administrator title properly. I refer you to the point that everyone has been entirely ignoring: Theo could have asked Wikia with our community's support to give him the extra rights needed to edit our technical pages without the need for the Administrator title. It's a shame... I was hoping he would take my criticism in stride instead of taking them as personal insults. That's certainly not what I wanted, and look at what it's resulted in. Character presets[]

Anon-Block[]

The anon wasn't blocked for not creating an account (although I did consider a 5-10 min block to encourage a reply and account creation).
