Do this page like Creation Club page?[]

I think the format of this page would be best if similar to Creation Club page, thoughts? Eddo36 (talk) 10:04, November 25, 2018 (UTC)

Item names[]

Any thoughts about whether or not we should be using the names as advertised in the shop, or the names of the items when they're inspected? We've got both on the page at the moment. -L84tea Tea kettleWould you like a cup of tea? 22:50, April 6, 2019 (UTC)

Perhaps this page could use the advertised names but link to the in-game names. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 23:09, April 6, 2019 (UTC)
That's what I thought too. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:57, April 7, 2019 (UTC)
Sounds like a plan. :) --L84tea Tea kettleWould you like a cup of tea? 14:13, April 7, 2019 (UTC)
What about items that don't have links, like some of the weapon/armor/Pip-Boy skins? Do they still use the advertised names? Could they link to base item pages with a new list of skins available, all using in-game names? CamelChip (talk) 15:34, April 7, 2019 (UTC)
I personally prefer to use the item name because that how it appears in-game, but I can see how that might get confusing. Would a 'Fallout 76 skins and paints' type page be too much overkill...? Not sure. --L84tea Tea kettleWould you like a cup of tea? 03:24, April 10, 2019 (UTC)
A separate page for skins (and in retrospect, other types of items) would be somewhat arbitrary since it would basically contain all the information of skins on here, to there - but it can potentially be re-purposed into a subpage perhaps ie Atomic Shop/Fallout 76 Skins or Atomic Shop/Fallout 76 C.A.M.P Items - to make it easier to edit (less load on the page) and also easier to link to, upon which this page can take the content on those pages and display them here. In regards to naming, the names can potentially be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine if a name is too generic or unspecific to fully highlight what the bundle contains, e.g "Camouflage Bundle" had its alternate names as Wild Appalachia Camouflage Bundle and Survival Camouflage Bundle. Perhaps in regards to cases like these it can be established that generic names be scrapped in favour of more descriptive (but official) names if the need be arises? Skins vs Paints[]

The addition of the riders of the apocalypse armors (of which plague rider and war rider have currently been released) has introduced a discrepancy between paints and skins. The in store description lists the skin as being applicable to all power armor types...but that is a little disingenuous. When paints have been released previously, each eligible armor is given paint that follows the theme but the armors retain their unique silhouettes (i.e. X-01 still looks like X-01, T-60 still looks like T-60.)

However, the riders armors are labeled as a skin rather than a paint, and so far as I know, mark the first time this label has been applied to anything other than a weapon. What this actually does is make every suit of PA, regardless of classification, appear exactly the same. So a raider PA given the plague rider skin will appear as if it was X-01, or a T-51 PA given the war skin will appear as if it was T-45. When weapons have been given skins in the past, there was functionally no difference between it and the paints, since each paint or skin was unique to a specific weapon. But with PA skins being applicable across the board, I felt it was notable to have this documented in someway since the exact difference between the two is never touched upon anywhere else, either here in the wiki or on the Atom Shop. Why bother with this[]

The Atomic Store does not have a right to exist. Why did you waste your time and effort creating an article for it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.155.173.14 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Hello, as the Creation club has an article as well for Fallout 4, so too does the Atomic shop for interested Fallout 76 players. One cannot enforce which avenue editors will spend time and effort to contribute to the wiki. Please don't forget to sign your post with four tildes (~) Canyon Light (talk) 09:14, May 17, 2019 (UTC)
