Oversized and undersized items (Fallout: New Vegas)

Oversized and undersized items are items which are scaled larger or smaller than normal, found in the Mojave Wasteland and surrounding regions. For reference, when opening the console with the "~" key, the player can then click on an item. Typing "getscale" and hitting ENTER will display the item's size listed as "#.##" with 1.00 being the universal average. If any item comes back with a number higher or lower than 1.00, it is unique in size.

Characteristics[]

Some objects appear in the world larger or smaller than normally encountered. These items have different behavior compared to regular objects. One can pick them up and drop them elsewhere only once. On a subsequent retrieval and drop, the item will return to normal size. They appear the same in one's inventory but will be the first of which that will be dropped. There are some exceptions to this rule; in very rare cases, the uniquely-sized items will be dropped in the same order they were picked up, (picking up any uniquely-sized items at Mick & Ralph's before picking up any normal-sized ones, for example), but generally, they will be the first. They can function as unique decorations for one's home.

Base game[]

Abandoned warehouse - On the western side of the warehouse, on a desk between the unloading ramps is one oversized (1.08) coffee mug. On the eastern side, there is a mini maze of shipping containers. Entering on the northern side, next to the solo red shipping container, directly ahead will be three sets of wooden shelves, stacked two high. On the first solo set of shelves are 11 bottles of wine and 3 tin cans, all oversized at (1.41). On the shelf just to the right of that are 6 empty Nuka-Cola bottles and 9 tin cans (one of them on the floor in front of the shelves), all oversized at (1.26). Continuing on through the small maze heading east, then south, then west, the player can also find two triple stacks of wooden shelves among the shipping containers. On these shelves are 11 empty Nuka-Cola bottles and 7 tin cans, all oversized (1.26) with another, larger oversized (1.42) empty Nuka-Cola bottle on top of the right set of shelves. On the opposite side, stacked against these shelves are five more wooden shelves with another 4 oversized (1.26) tin cans on the left side. These items may need to be shot at or even blasted with a grenade in order to be obtained.
Basincreek building - There is one undersized (0.50) cement planter in the corner of the easy-locked office.
Bitter Springs - Inside the medical tent, one oversized (1.04) scalpel can be found on a table atop a bonesaw with another undersized (0.96) scalpel right next to it. The map of Hoover Dam on the table in the supply tent is undersized (0.50).
Black Mountain/storage building - Directly under the toolbox on the northeastern most set of shelves is one oversized (1.26) static cooking pot. Another oversized (1.26) static cooking pot can be found on a shelf near the exit next to two normal ones. Two more of the same size can be found on opposite ends of the adjacent row of shelves, both on the second shelf from the top. Another two of the same size on the southwestern most set of shelves, on the second shelf from the top and on the top shelf. All the oversized pots are easy to spot as they are all upside down.
Black Mountain/broadcast building, 2nd floor - Next to the ham radio is one undersized (0.92) small destroyed book.
Bloodborne cave - The child's skeleton is undersized (0.60).
Bradley's shack - The first aid box is oversized (1.30).
Brewer's beer bootlegging - Behind the shack, up the hill travelling westward, the player will come to a cazador nest with three oversized (3.00) static brahmin ribcages and one oversized (2.10) static brahmin skull nearby. In the cellar of the shack, the tanks behind the sign are undersized (0.35) and the tanks next to the generator are undersized (0.32).
Broc flower cave - There is one undersized (0.92) scalpel on the surgical tray in the room with the Ratslayer.
Camp Forlorn Hope/medical center - On a table with some X-ray slides is a surgical tray with various instruments. Among these are two scalpels, one oversized (1.04 right side next to the tweezers), and one undersized (0.96 left side). The X-ray display is undersized (0.75).
Camp Golf/medical tent - In the northeast corner of the tent, on a surgical tray, are two scalpels, one oversized (1.04 closer to the forceps), and on e undersized (0.96 further from the forceps).
Camp Golf/house resort - In the upstairs room just to the left of the collapsed northwest staircase, in the bathtub, are one oversized (1.04) scalpel just under the bonesaw, one undersized (0.98) scalpel just next to the same bonesaw, and another undersized (0.97) scalpel on the surgical tray. Just across the hall opposite this room is a room with an inactive terminal and one oversized (1.06) scalpel on top of the surgical cart. In the adjoining bedroom, there are two more oversized (1.05 closer to the middle, 1.07 closer to the foot of the bed) scalpels on the bed.
Camp Guardian - Just across the first bridge, in the rest area next to a sand bag wall, are two undersized (0.50) crates.
Camp Guardian peak - At the top of the peak, on a platform net to a chair, is one undersized (0.90) Sunset Sarsaparilla crate.
Camp McCarran - In the medical tent, on the surgical cart nestled between the gurney, anesthesia tanks, and privacy screen, there are two scalpels among the items in the surgical tray. The scalpel closer to the opthalmoscope is oversized (1.09) and the scalpel closer to the empty syringe is undersized (0.93).
Camp Searchlight/schoolhouse - The bed rolls are undersized (0.50).
Cannibal Johnson's cave - The Danny Parker, Wilfred the Wizard, and Maxis the Magician posters are all undersized (0.79). The Christmas lights are also undersized (0.40 next to the mattress, 0.43 on the opposite side of the cave).
Canyon wreckage - In an overturned trailer just southeast of the pass leading to the Lonesome Road, there is a group of four skeletons. The two without clothing are undersized (0.77 larger 0.41 smaller).
Cap counterfeiting shack - On the floor between the cellar door and the ammo box and also in front of the broken metal shelf, are two undersized (0.72) shot glasses.
Captain Dean boat rentals - The "boat rentals" sign is undersized (0.60).
Cazador nest - Just south of the small cave nest, on either side of the rocky outcroppings flanking the entrance, are two oversized (2.20) brahmin ribcages, one oversized (2.00) brahmin skull next to the southwestern ribcage, and another oversized (1.20) ribcage just south of the skull. At the mouth of the cave, next to a skeleton and explosives crate, is another oversized (2.00) brahmin ribcage. The adventurer's pack next to the skeleton is undersized (0.60).
Cottonwood Cove HQ - One undersized (0.87) sexy sleepwear can be found on a cabinet shelf directly to the right after entering the office.
Cottonwood Cove mess hall - in the box next to the oven are three undersized (0.80) tin cans.
Cottonwood Cove shack - Three undersized (0.65) empty whiskey bottles can be found, two on top of a large crate to the left after entering the shack, (directly in front of a chalkboard), and one on the floor between the crates. It also contains an oversized (2.96) pair of scissors on the shelf next to the oxygen tank.
Cottonwood Cove storage - On the two large wooden crates on opposite sides of the chalkboard are three undersized (0.75) books (small ruined by itself, small destroyed and large burned together).
East pump station - Immediately to the player's left (north) upon entering, on a table with a coffee maker, there will be two potato crisps and three pinyon nuts (one of which is in the milk crate on the floor), all undersized at (0.72), an undersized (0.72) cafeteria tray, undersized (0.87) coffee maker, and an undersized (0.88) milk crate (holding one of the pinyon nuts). Just north of this table, next to the broken refrigerator, is a metal shelf with a box of Abraxo cleaner, two boxes of sugar bombs, one milk crate, all undersized (0.88), and one undersized (0.48) coffee urn. The Sierra Madre poster next to the lockers is undersized (0.57). The cluster of Vault-Tec posters is undersized (0.80). On the bulletin board next to the active terminal are two undersized (0.13) Sierra Madre posters.
Fields' shack - Two undersized (0.72) shot glasses can be found on the floor next to an ammo box and in front of a broken metal shelf.
Gomorrah/suites - In the kitchen of Clanden's suite (south suite), on a small counter next to a metal box, is one undersized (0.88) tin can. In the bedroom, there are two shot glasses, a bottle of wine, and an the table they sit on, all undersized at (0.90). The metal box in this low area is undersized (0.88). The fridge in this area is oversized (1.06). Down the hall from Clanden's suite, in Cachino's suite (east suite), heading up the stairs to the area with the TV set and three couches, there will be an undersized (0.75) chess board on the floor and one undersized (0.88) tin can on the table next to the TV.
Goodsprings/Goodsprings General Store - In one of the milk crates in the freezer closest to the counter, the player can find two oversized (1.40) Nevada agave fruits. The mutfruit in the bottom of this crate is undersized (0.70).
Goodsprings/Goodsprings home (west of general store) - Two more oversized (1.40) Nevada agave fruits can be found, one on the left broken metal shelf and one on the lone, unbroken metal shelf in the hallway.
Goodsprings source - On the cliff overlooking the source, there is one undersized (0.70) glass pitcher. There are also four undersized (0.70) red balls, provided the player has the Wild Wasteland trait.
Gun Runner HQ - In the reception area, on an undersized (0.72) cafeteria tray, next to an undersized (0.87) coffee brewer, are two undersized (0.72) fresh apples. Another undersized (0.72) fresh apple and some undersized (0.72) pinyon nuts can be found in the milk crate sitting on the chair next to the fridge. Near the filing cabinets just before the hallway leading to the manufacturing area, two undersized (0.72) empty Nuka-Cola bottles can be found on the floor. West of the reception area is a dining area where two undersized (0.72) bottles of Nuka-Cola can be found on the table next to the table with the ham radio. In the first milk crate on the floor next to the oven, another undersized (0.72) fresh apple can be found. In the milk crate closer to the wall, an undersized (0.72) buffalo gourd seed can be found. On the metal shelf next to the oven, two bottles of Nuka-Cola, one empty Nuka-Cola bottle, three boxes of Cram, and two buffalo gourd seeds, all undersized (0.72), can be found. In the bathroom, on the metal shelf next to the sink, there's one pair of oversized (3.06) scissors. North of the reception area, in the manufacturing and maintenance room, on and in front of the metal shelf next to the double doors are two undersized (0.75) hammers, with three undersized (0.75) bottles of wonderglue on the floor in front of the shelf directly next to that. Three more undersized (0.61) bottles of wonderglue can be found, two on the floor in the center row between the work/reloading benches, and one on the work bench directly in front of the double doors.
Harper's shack - Two undersized (0.72) shot glasses can be found on the floor in front of and next to a broken metal shelf in the bedroom.
HELIOS One/solar collection tower - One undersized (0.89) bottle of wonderglue and one oversized (1.84) pair of scissors can be found on the countertop in the small room with the turret control terminal. On the same floor, across the catwalk in the area with the large blast door leading to a ramp to the lower level, on a table between a normal hammer and wrench, the player can find another undersized (0.89) bottle of wonderglue. In this same area, directly north from this table is a metal shelf with a large burned book and toy car on it, both undersized at (0.85). On the western side of the map, in a lower level hallway, is an area with two wall cots, a suitcase, and a table with two oversized (1.34 closer to the cot, 1.08 further from the cot) small burned books on it. On the level one up from the bottom, there's a table against the northern perimeter wall on the railed walkway. On this table is one undersized (0.92) wrench between a normal coffee mug and a copy of Fixin' Things. On the lowest level, in the northernmost hallway, the player can find a protectron in a stasis field. Next to this is a table with two hammers, one wrench, and one medical clipboard, all undersized at (0.66). In the room with the elevator leading to the observation level, the player can find three coffee mugs, one coffee pot, and five buffalo gourd seeds, all undersized (0.82) on two tables in the southern part of the room near the elevator.
HELIOS One/observation level - just southeast of the elevator is a set of stacked tables with a fridge, water fountain, and coffee machine nearby. In a milk crate under these tables, as well as on the table with the coffee machine, are two milk bottles, three coffee mugs, and two dinner plates, all oversized at (1.08). One more oversized (1.08) coffee mug can be found on the desk directly behind the mainframe.
Hidden valley/bunker (east) - The bucket the lamp sits on is oversized (1.24).
Hidden valley/bunker (south) - In the southernmost bunker where the NCR ranger has set up a makeshift safe house, the player can find his journal, which is undersized (0.71). The shipping crate it sits on is also undersized (0.39).
Hoover Dam/offices - On the eastern side of the map, in the room with the projector just south of the eastern exit to the tower, on the metal shelf with two metal boxes, against the western wall, is one undersized (0.80) hammer on the middle shelf.
Hostetler home - On the dining table is one oversized (2.21) white plate next to an undersized (0.54) vase with some undersized (0.42) flowers in it. Two more undersized vases (0.54) with flowers (0.42) can be found in the master bedroom and the kitchen. The paintings in the kitchen and master bedroom are oversized (1.27), as well as the paintings on the wall above the left (1.30) and right (1.31) couches.
Jacobstown/lodge - In the upstairs room with the reloading bench, an assortment of surgical instruments can be found on the bed. Among these are two oversized (1.05 closer to the foot of the bed, 1.07 closer to the center of the bed) scalpels. A bit north of the center of the Mao, in an upstairs room with a couch, coffee table, dining table, 4 chairs, and a microscope on an end table, on the dining table rests on oversized (1.06) scalpel.
Jimmy's well - (Requires Wild Wasteland trait) Jimmy's skeleton is undersized (0.80).
King's School of Impersonation - On the ground floor, in the western corner room, the player can find a beer pong setup and three undersized (0.30) ping pong balls, one on the desk, on the floor next to the desk, and on the floor in the south corner. On the second floor, in the room northeast of the top of the stairs, a putt putt golf setup can be found with four undersized (0.37) golf balls, one next to the 9 iron and three more next to the southeast wall.
Little Rock camp - South southeast of the Smith Mesa prospector camp is a small, unmarked camp site known as the Little Rock camp. At this small camp site, there is one oversized (1.94) banana yucca plant and one oversized (2.15) Nevada agave plant next to the large boulder.
Lone Wolf Radio - The antennae are various sizes as follows: from the middle of the trailer towards the back, (1.08, 1.00, 1.45, 0.77) and on top of the trailer, (0.52 larger antenna, 0.30 smaller antenna).
Lucky 38/casino - On the shelf next to the fridge in the bar, there are seven undersized (0.78) buffalo gourd seeds. In the VIP lounge, the framed copy of Boxing Times is undersized (0.80). On the counter next to that, directly under the VIP lounge sign, are one medical clipboard and one pencil, both undersized at (0.78).
Lucky 38/presidential suite - Four undersized (0.72) bottles of Nuka Cola can be found, (two in the kitchen, two in the guest room); one undersized (0.83) drinking glass on the night stand in the master bedroom; two undersized (0.72) hot plates in the kitchen, one on the shelf next to the dining area, one on the counter, one undersized (0.72) empty Nuka-Cola bottle, and one undersized (0.72) box of Cram.
Lucky Jim Mine - On the floor in the house in front of the broken fridges and between a fridge and the oven, there are two undersized (0.72) shot glasses.
Michael Angelo's workshop - on the large desk in the reception area is one oversized (3.00) pair of scissors. The four lightbulbs on the northern catwalk workbench are undersized (0.40 larger two, 0.20 smaller two). At the northern end of the workshop, there's an anvil next to a workbench; on this anvil are one oversized (1.20) hammer and one oversized (1.30) butter knife. On the opposite side of the doorway from this anvil is another workbench with four more undersized (0.40 & 0.20 larger and smaller) lightbulbs on it. On the nearby table with the billboard schematics, another oversized (3.00) pair of scissors can be found. In Sheldon's (Michael Angelo's) room, one undersized (0.80) post-war toaster can be found on a table in the northeast corner. On the bottom of the metal shelf next to Sheldon's terminal is one undersized (0.80) spatula. On the shelf just below the top are three undersized (0.80) forks on top of a single white plate. In the southwest corner of Sheldon's bathroom, one oversized (1.40) box of Abraxo cleaner can be found. The bathtub is oversized (1.50).
Mick & Ralph's - Immediately to the left upon entering, against the northwestern wall, is a metal shelf with two undersized (0.75) hammers on the lower middle shelf. On the first washing machine nearest the counter, there are two undersized (0.73) chessboards just in front of the suitcase. On the shelf directly next to the door leading to the stairs, there is a stack of four undersized (0.73) dinner plates on the upper middle shelf. Directly across from this shelf is one undersized (0.77) wonderglue on top of a washing machine, directly next to the shell of a destroyed terminal. Another undersized (0.77) wonderglue can be found on the floor nearby between a surgical cart and a lone washing machine. On the dining table upstairs, there is one undersized (0.73) pile of pinyon nuts on the cafeteria tray. On the top shelf just above the countertop nearby, five more undersized (0.73) piles of pinyon nuts can be found, three on the shelf and two more in the milk crate directly next to those three.
Mojave Outpost - Just past the statues, on the road leading towards the gate to the Long 15, there is a trailer. In this trailer, from back to front, are some undersized and oversized brahmin skulls as follows: (on the trailer bed: 0.98, 0.94, 0.92, 1.04, on the raised part of the bed at the front: 0.94, 1.06).
Mojave Outpost barracks - On the bar in front of Cass is one undersized (0.60) drinking glass.
Moonshiner's house - North of the Mole rat ranch is a house containing a moonshining operation. The lights and wires are all undersized at (0.50) and (0.30) respectfully.
NCR Embassy - On the desk next to Liza O'Malley's terminal are one coffee mug and one pencil, both undersized at (0.84). In the bedroom just before the cafeteria, there's one undersized (0.84) green pre-war book on the desk, along with one medical clipboard and a pencil, both oversized at (1.07).
Nellis AFB/hangar - On the player's first visit to the hangar, on the southern side of the disassembled B29, there will be a postal bin on the floor next to a counter top. Inside the postal bin is one oversized (1.13) wrench. Another oversized (1.13) wrench can be found in another postal bin on the floor next to the counter on the opposite side of the B29.
Nellis AFB/Pearl's barracks - Next to the northwestern exit is a desk with one undersized (0.75) drinking glass on it. Next to the oven on a small round table is one oversized (1.60).
Nellis AFB/women's barracks - The red plate on the dining table is oversized (2.05).
New Vegas medical clinic - The "New Vegas Clinic" sign is undersized (0.63). The Followers of the Apocalypse sign above the awning is undersized (0.50). The graffiti on the window is oversized (2.81).
New Vegas Steel - The press machines and the tank next to the molten bars are all undersized (0.50). The industrial machine beneath the stairs is undersized (0.90). The molten steel inside the giant crucible is undersized (0.49). The molten steel in the tank on the factory floor is undersized (0.70). In the control room up the stairs, both of the consoles jutting out into the walkway are undersized (0.75) and the pipes connected to the tops of both consoles are oversized (1.25). The clock on the wall above the posters is undersized (0.94).
Nipton/Nipton house - In the house between the general store and Nipton Town Hall, there is one oversized (2.24) red plate on the dining table.
Nipton/Nipton house - In the house just east of the town hall, there are two oversized (1.96) green plates on the counter.
North Sewers - In the northeastern most room, nearest the exit to Crimson Caravan, there's a metal box with a chessboard and an ashtray on it. The ashtray is undersized (0.80). Another undersized (0.80) ashtray can be found directly east of the exit to the Thorn in the large main area next another chessboard on top of a metal box.
Novac/Dino Bite gift shop - On the counter is one undersized (0.46) paper weight. There are five undersized (0.92) empty Sunset Sarsaparilla bottles on the wooden shelf with the tire and TV on top. On this same shelf, middle shelf with the ruined books; starting from the left, you have two normal small burned books, one on top of the other, then a row of books starting with a normal small ruined book and two small scorched books, the first (left book) being oversized (1.04). The next small scorched book and the rest of the following books on the middle shelf are all normal-sized. On the right side, bottom shelf, the row of books on the left side follows this same trend with the second book, (small scorched book), also being oversized (1.04). The rest of the books on the bottom shelf are normal.
Novac/Cliff Briscoe's bungalow - The tripwire is undersized (0.40).
Old Mormon Fort - The planter and flowers on the landing in Julie Farkas' room are both undersized at (0.40) and (0.31) respectively.
Ranger station foxtrot - The map of Hoover Dam is undersized (0.72).
Raul's shack - Just outside, both banana yucca plants are oversized (1.29 northern, 1.25 southern), as well as the coyote tobacco (1.17 closest to the door, 1.21 near the fence), and all three Nevada agave (1.22 next to the door, 1.30 between the tobacco plants, 1.24 furthest from the door). The withered coyote tobacco plant is undersized (0.94).
Red Rock pathway - Along the path between Red Rock Canyon and the Pine Ravines pathway, the player will come across a cazador nest with a dead super mutant and some skeletons. Among the bones are one oversized (2.20) brahmin skull and one oversized (3.00) brahmin ribcage. Another oversized (3.00) brahmin ribcage along with another oversized (1.50) brahmin skull can be found just east of the cazador nest, though these two are static and don't move when walked over. Almost directly north of these is yet another oversized (1.30) static brahmin ribcage.
REPCONN HQ/office main floor - In the reception area, the rocket statue is undersized (0.12). In the gift shop, the three toxic waste barrels in the southeast corner are undersized (0.35). The three plasma fuel display jars are oversized (3.98). The toxic barrel pile display is undersized (0.23). The REPCONN dome is just an undersized (0.04) static model. The REPCONN rocket display is undersized (0.15). The industrial machine just past the employee door of the planetarium is undersized (0.44). Jenny Millet's security keycard is oddly oversized (2.07).
REPCONN HQ/office 2nd floor - Near the center of the map, in a small office, the player can find one oversized (2.34) REPCONN second floor security card on the northeastern desk.
River bank alcove - On the southern shore leading to the small lakelurk nest, nearby the crates of explosives are one oversized (1.40) static brahmin skull and one oversized (1.50) static brahmin ribcage.
Silver Peak mine/shack - In front of the broken metal shelf on the floor is one undersized (0.72) shot glass.
Sunset Sarsaparilla headquarters - In the northwest corner of the prize room, on the floor next to a stack of three lootable crates with a lamp on top, is one undersized (0.89) medical clipboard. In the southeast corner of the map, coming down a flight of stairs from the second floor, there will be a very hard locked door. In this office against the southern wall is a wooden shelf with one undersized (0.56) empty Sunset Sarsaparilla bottle on top.
The Thorn/Red Lucy's chamber - On the table next to Red Lucy's terminal is a pair of oversized (3.00) scissors.
The Tops/casino floor - The pencil directly in front of the cashier is undersized (0.85).
Ultra-Luxe/Bon Vivant suite - In the dining room on the banquet table are 8 each oversized (1.44) green plates, forks, and drinking glasses. Two more oversized (2.21) green plates with an oversized (1.44) brahmin steak on each are also found on this table.
Ultra-Luxe/casino floor - Behind the cashier's counter are one empty whiskey bottle, one carton of cigarettes, two pencils, one empty Sunset Sarsaparilla bottle, and one coffee mug on the bookshelf, all undersized at (0.85).
Ultra-Luxe/hotel rooms - Coming from the bath house, in the first room on the left (southern most room), there is one oversized (1.40) black and green pre-war book on the right bedside table. In the next room on the left, another oversized (1.40) green and black pre-war book can be found on the bedside table next to the left bed. On the bookshelf in this room, all six pre-war books, the toy car, both empty Nuka-Cola bottles, and the camera are all oversized at (1.40). Coming from the bath house, in the first room on the right (eastern most room), there are four oversized (1.40) empty Nuka-Cola bottles on one of the wardrobes. In the right side center room, two oversized (1.40) pre-war books can be found, one on one of the wardrobes and one on a bedside table. In the room across from the investigator's room, on top of the wardrobe in the corner is one oversized (1.40) teddy bear. In the investigator's room, the plunger and box of Abraxo cleaner next to the toilet are both undersized (0.90).
Ultra-Luxe/kitchen - The kitchen area has various over- and undersized items:
- Kitchen, upstairs:
  - One oversized (1.50) but unobtainable cleaver on a small table next to the brahmin meat racks.
  - Two undersized (0.48) brahmin skulls on a wall shelf to the right of the cleaver.
  - A total of six undersized (0.86) pieces of infected brahmin meat, three on each counter in the same area.
  - One oversized (1.30) cutting board and two oversized (1.50) butter knives on the southern counter.
  - One oversized (1.30) cutting board and one oversized (1.50) knife on the northern counter.
- Kitchen, basement:
  - One undersized (0.88) bottle of wine, being the only one standing upright, on the southern shelf in the wine cellar.
  - Taking the left door from the cellar, leads to a kitchen area. Immediately to the right are two undersized (0.71 and 0.91) coffee pots, two undersized (0.91) coffee mugs, and one undersized (0.60) pressure cooker on the stove in the corner.
  - The same counter contains an oversized (1.40) white plate with four of each undersized (0.91) butter knives and forks.
  - Two undersized (0.51) white plates near the sinks, closest to the oven.
  - Between the sinks and the first aid box, one undersized (0.60) glass pitcher, three undersized (0.60) drinking glasses, six undersized (0.51) white plates, two undersized (0.38 smaller, 0.68 larger) fresh pears, one oversized (1.30) cutting board, and one oversized (1.50) knife.

Ultra-Luxe/penthouse - In the dining area, just like in the Bon Vivant suite, the player can find 8 each oversized (1.44) green plates, drinking glasses, and forks, as well as two oversized (1.44) brahmin steaks atop two oversized (2.21) green plates. The four shot glasses on and behind the bar are oversized (1.44). Upstairs, on a bookshelf next to the wall safe are six pre-war books, two empty Nuka-Cola bottles, and one camera, all oversized at (1.40). In the upstairs bathroom on the desk, one pencil, one pack of cigarettes, and one bobby pin, all oversized (1.50) can be found. On the bookshelf in the corner is one undersized (0.86) carton of cigarettes.
Ultra-Luxe/The Gourmand - There are many items here. Heading northwest and down the stairs to the dining area, there will be four small round tables and six rectangular dining tables. On the central rectangular table closest to the reception area are four each oversized (1.43) white plates and forks, and one oversized (1.60) brahmin steak on an oversized (2.11) white plate. Southwest of that at another rectangular table are four more each oversized (1.43) white plates and forks, with two oversized (1.60) dog steaks on two of the plates. On the opposite side, northeast of the reception-side central table is another rectangular table with four more each oversized (1.43) white plates and forks. On the central rectangular table closest to the neon "The Gourmand" sign are three more oversized (1.43) white plates. Just southwest of that is another rectangular table with four more each oversized (1.43) white plates and forks, as well as two more oversized (1.60) brahmin steaks on two more oversized (2.11) white plates. On the opposite side of the far central table is another rectangular table with four more each oversized (1.43) white plates and forks. On the two round tables closest to the neon Gourmand sign are five more oversized (1.43) white plates.
Vault 3 - From doorway of the entrance area, head east down the hall and down a flight of stairs to arrive at an easy-locked door to the north. In this room are three oversized (1.42) pre-War books on a metal shelf. In the kitchen, east of the diner behind an easy-locked door, on the counter in the area with the ovens are 5 forks, 3 noodles, 3 white plates, 2 boxes of Cram, 1 butter knife, 1 pot, and 1 coffee pot, all undersized at (0.91). In the adjacent storage area are 5 pots, 5 coffee mugs, 2 metal spoons, 1 white plate (on the counter), and 1 coffee pot, also undersized at (0.91). The rest of the items in the storage area are normal-sized. Across the hall from and to the west of the diner is a small storage room behind an easy-locked door. On the left metal shelf with the toolbox is one undersized (0.93) wrench.
Vault 3/living quarters - Southeast of the southern exit to the recreation area, there will be a long low wooden shelf against the southern wall. On this shelf is one undersized (0.79) camera. In the flooded southern storage room, there is one pair of oversized (2.06) scissors on the metal shelf.
Vault 21/gift shop - On the front desk is one undersized (0.50) paper weight. On the desk next to the typewriter is one undersized (0.80) bottle of Sunset Sarsaparilla. Above that on the lower shelf is one oversized (1.25) sensor module directly next to a normal one. The postal box on this shelf is undersized (0.50). On the higher shelf above the desk with the typewriter is one oversized (1.30) toy car directly next to a pre-War toaster. The intercom is undersized (0.80). The projector is undersized (0.70). The reception terminal is undersized (0.80). The guest terminal is even smaller (0.60). The vent cover above the radio is undersized (0.80). The Vault Boy picture next to the fallout shelter sign is oversized (1.10). The BoS poster just above that is undersized (0.70). The Vault-Tec flag is undersized (0.70). The "HARD WORK IS HAPPY WORK" sign behind the reception desk is undersized (0.30). The welcome mat is oversized (1.50). The round table next to the guest terminal is undersized (0.80). The assorted papers on the desk next to the typewriter are undersized (0.90). The assorted papers on the end table on the reception desk are undersized (0.80).
Vault 21 - Heading down the stairs from the exit to the gift shop and straight ahead into the diner, immediately to the player's left (east), there will be seven coffee mugs and two metal spoons, all undersized at (0.91), along with one undersized (0.71) coffee pot. Directly above the fridge on a shelf are 24 undersized (0.91) white plates next to an undersized (0.80) milk crate. On the next shelf over are three oversized (1.40) boxes of Cram and one undersized (0.60) static pot. On the next, slightly lower shelf, there is another undersized (0.70) static pot. Just below that, on top of the oven are one butter knife and one fork, both undersized at (0.91). On the nearby counter are two undersized (0.91 bigger, 0.71 smaller) coffee pots, four more undersized (0.91) coffee mugs, four undersized (0.91) forks and five undersized (0.91) butter knives on top of an oversized (1.40) white plate, five undersized (0.91) noodles, and 24 more undersized (0.91) white plates.In the southeast corner of the diner on a round table with three charis surrounding it are one metal spoon, coffee mug, and white plate, all undersized at (0.91), along with one undersized (0.70) empty Sunset Sarsaparilla bottle. On the table with the bench seats closest to the vending machines, there are three white plates three forks, two butter knives, and two coffee mugs, all undersized at (0.91), along with one undersized (0.80) empty Nuka-Cola bottle. In the southwest corner of the diner, on a booth table under a Sugar Bombs poster, there are two more white plates, two forks, two butter knives, and one coffee mug, all undersized at (0.91), along with one undersized (0.70) empty Sunset Sarsaparilla bottle. In the northwest corner of the diner, on a counter under a candy striper poster, are one more of each undersized (0.91) coffee mug, metal spoon, and white plate, along with two undersized (0.70) empty Nuka-Cola bottles. On the pool table are two undersized (0.80) pool cues. In the rec room are four more undersized (0.80) pool cues, two on the pool table next to the jukebox, one on the adjacent table, and one leaning up against the wall next to the rec supply shelf. In Carlitos' room, there is one undersized (0.93) wrench on the metal shelf closest to the door.
Vault 22/common areas - Upstairs, in the northeast part of the map is a small bar. On the northern corner of the countertop are six undersized (0.50) shot glasses.
Westside/Miguel's Pawn Shop - Just behind the display counter, on the floor under the barred window, is one oversized (1.04) coffee mug (must be stolen).
Whittaker farmstead - Just northeast of the mailbox stands one oversized (1.80) damaged garden gnome.
Wolfhorn ranch - There are two undersized (0.72) shot glasses on the broken metal shelf and next to the bucket on the floor inside the house.
Yangtze Memorial/abandoned shack - Directly in front of the toilet on the floor is one oversized (1.06) copy of Lad's Life.
Zapp's Neon Signs - All 7 of the neon signs in the shop are undersized (0.75). The two bundles of wires on the workbench are also undersized (0.15).
Three undersized radioactive waste barrels in the gift shop at REPCONN headquarters.

Dead Money[]

Abandoned BoS bunker - Taking the first left down the hall into Elijah's workshop, the player will find a small library of books in the northern wall near the bed. Among these are 9 undersized (0.89) pre-war books (green), all of them laying flat, (from top to bottom, left to right: 2 in the stack on the middle shelf, 1 on top of the first [left] stack near the lab machine, 1 on top of the next [left inner] stack, 1 on top of the next [middle] stack, 2 more in the next [inner right, top book and fourth from the top] stack, and finally, 2 in the last [right, top book and fourth book from the top] stack). *Note: all the undersized books are green pre-war books and all of them are located on the top of their respective stacks with any containing two books, having exactly two normal-sized pre-war books between the undersized ones, and both normal ones are always red on top of charcoal gray with a turquoise spine. One undersized (0.84) pile of scrap electronics on the vending machine in the southwest corner.
Cantina Madrid - Two oversized (1.30) cutting boards in the meat locker.
Executive suites - Three undersized (0.80) pots in the kitchenette with the gas leak, along with three undersized (2× 0.91 larger, 1× 0.71 smaller) coffee pots.
Tampico - One undersized (0.80) teddy bear next to a child's skeleton in a hallway backstage. The Tampico's front desk terminal password is undersized (0.50).
Sierra Madre vault - After opening the first metal door, the player will arrive in a hallway with another door and a single metal shelf. On this shelf is one undersized (0.90) carton of cigarettes. One undersized (0.69) empty whiskey bottle on the floor, beneath the hologram security terminal containing the History's Sake entry (Mr. Sinclair E.B.E.). After passing through the area with the three hologram security guards, there will be a hallway and a table with a first aid box on the wall directly next to it. On this table is one undersized (0.92) wrench. Arriving in the vault room, if the player heads up the catwalk directly across from the vault door, south southwest, once reaching the entryway of the covered walkway and turning to the right (west), they will notice a static tire resting against an undersized (0.60), inactive floodlight. Directly in front of this floodlight on the floor, are two undersized (0.90) tin cans. Continuing on through the covered walkway, making a left at the floodlight and heading south, to the player's left will be a metal shelf with four more undersized (0.90) tin cans and one undersized (0.90) medical clipboard. (The tin can on the ground next to this metal shelf is normal). On the floor under the vault entrance dome are one oversized (1.23) tin can and one oversized (1.23) wrench. In the vault proper, on the end of the counter directly next to the generator, is one bobby pin and two pre-war books (red, blue), all slightly undersized at (0.99). The vault security terminal is oversized (1.20). The pencil on the desk next to the vault control terminal, as well as the coffee mug under it, are both oversized (1.20). The chemistry set is oversized (1.70). The lab machine next to the radio is undersized (0.87). The two mainframes in the northwest corner are undersized (0.62 smaller, 0.80 larger).

Honest Hearts[]

General store - In the southwest corner, to left upon entering the store, are six oversized (2.00) toy cars in a wooden shelf. The two lanterns on the counter and the two on the shelf opposite the counter are all undersized (0.78 counter, 0.59 shelf).
Ghost Den - The Ghost of She is oversized (1.50).
Stone Bones cave - Coming up the ramp just after the second tripwire, the player will see an oversized (1.20) pot with a plasma mine resting against it.

Old World Blues[]

Cuckoo's Nest/Ulysses' Point - Directly west of Ulysses' Point, the player will find a large pipe coming out of a concrete square, with two smaller pipes on either side. There will be a wooden crate at the base of the concrete and a skeleton with an undersized (0.82) nightstalker egg next to it. Standing on the concrete slab, there will be an army truck on the path almost directly between the NE and E compass markers, X-2 to the south, and the Think Tank to the north.
Cuckoo's Nest/X-2 transmitter antenna array - Almost directly between these two locations, a small campsite can be found. To find it, go to the Cuckoo's Nest and instead of heading up the ramp to the entrance, continue southeast around the cliff where the player will pass by three graves. Continuing southeast over a small hill with X-2 in sight, the player will encounter two more graves. Continue past these around the cliff to a catwalk where four lobotomites will be milling about. Take them out and upon reaching the bend overlooking the ledge, look down to see the campsite below. In this campsite are two nightstalker eggs, both undersized (0.89 closer to the large boulder, 0.78 between the cooking pot and skeleton torso), and one oversized (1.27) metal cooking pot.
Forbidden Zone dome - In Dr. Mobius' room, (2nd room east of the player's brain), the pre-war photo of all the doctors is undersized (0.60).
Higgs Village - Stripe is undersized (0.35).
Higgs Village/101 - The hot plate in the kitchen is undersized (0.72).
Higgs Village/103 - The "bird" cages are just resized Gomorrah dancer cages, all undersized as follows: dining table (0.27), under the table (0.20), directly under the clock (0.30), next to the cabinet (0.18), kitchen hallway (0.29), kitchen (0.35), upstairs sitting room (0.30), Borous' room (0.26). The wooden shelf on Borous' desk is undersized (0.63). The teddy bear inside the cage in the basement is oversized (1.22).
Little Yangtze/watchtower - One oversized (1.31) scalpel can be found on a speaker next to the body of a Yangtze camp survivor, it is noticeably larger than the normal scalpel next to it. Hanging on the tool rack behind the ham radio is one oversized (1.30) wrench.
Magnetohydraulics complex - *ww* The walking eyes are oversized (2.50).
Mysterious cave - Being quite similar in layout as the broc flower cave, it's no surprise that the scalpel on the surgical tray in the room with all the equipment, just like the former, is also undersized (0.92). The legendary bloatfly is oversized (3.00).
Saturnite alloy research facility - The force field is oversized (4.00). The "magma" in the pit is oversized (1.80). The "saturnite" in the crucible is undersized (0.49). The molten "saturnite" bar is undersized (0.51). The tank holding the molten "saturnite" is undersized (0.50) and the molten "saturnite" inside is also undersized (0.70).
Securitron de-construction plant - Coming down the ramp to the factory floor, directly ahead and slightly left will be an L-shaped counter with an oversized (1.42) scrap metal by itself, as well as two oversized (1.32) wrenches and one oversized (1.23) steam gauge assembly. On a conveyer belt nearby, (also to the left of the ramp), two oversized (1.54) scrap metals can be found with a third oversized (1.54) scrap metal in the bin at the end of the conveyor. A fourth oversized (1.54) scrap meal can be found in a bin next to the workbench. In a nearby room on a counter, immediately to the right after entering, an oversized (1.32) wrench can be found on a countertop. In the crossover room leading to the opposite side of the plant, on a countertop, approximately 13 oversized (1.35) fission batteries can be found. 0100111011011001100101 is oversized (1.10).
X-2 transmitter antenna array - The X-2 antenna is undersized (0.97), making it the only uniquely sized unique melee weapon in the game.
X-8 research center/testing facility - Two undersized (0.60) drinking glasses sitting atop the dogs' poker table, only obtainable by no-clipping into the room.
X-12 research center - The force field is oversized (5.70).
X-13 research facility - one oversized (2.91) pair of scissors can be found in the room containing the prototype gloves. Additionally, there are three undersized (0.86) beers, six oversized (1.30) cutting boards, three undersized (0.63) nighstalker eggs, and two oversized (1.50) butter knives in the Battle Brew room.
X-17 meteorological station - The houses, trees, and fountain serving as a model for Higgs Village are all undersized (0.10).
X-22 botanical garden - Patient Zero is oversized (1.20).
X-42 robo-warfare facility - The giant roboscorpion is oversized (4.00).
Waste disintegration platform - The giant roboscorpion legs are all ridiculously oversized (8.00), so far being the most oversized items in the game.

Lonesome Road[]

Cave of the Abaddon - The tunneler queen is oversized (1.25).
Dry Wells - The crater is an oversized (1.50) replica of the Megaton crater. (Hey, at least the crucified slaves were put out of their misery, eh?)
Hopeville armory - One oversized (2.71) pair of scissors on the countertop, immediately to the left after entering.
Hopeville missile silo bunker - In the room where the player finds ED-E, immediately to the left upon entering are two consoles with an L-shaped desk between them. On this desk, directly next to the destroyed terminal, is one oversized (1.40) clipboard.
Long 15 - Heading southwest towards the crater, as the player approaches the highway, they will see a flaming blue truck with a duffle bag in the back. From the truck, if the player heads southwest around the left hand side of the destroyed overpass, they will come to a wall formed of a destroyed building with a single window directly to the left of the destroyed overpass. Looking out this window will yield the grisly scene of two undersized (0.65) children's skeletons who were at play in presumably what was once a playground just before the warhead annihilated the Long 15. (You monster).
Marked men camp - Very close to the laser detonator, leaning against a couple military crates, is one oversized (1.26) red glare. The laser detonator is also oversized (1.21), oddly enough.
Marked men guard outpost/basement - In front of the two refrigerators is an overturned table with one undersized (0.70) fork directly under the table's metal support post.
Wastewater treatment plant - On the shelf immediately to the right when entering the office are two undersized (0.88) boxes of sugar bombs next to an undersized (0.48) coffee urn.

Notes[]

If one decides to display the item in another location, shooting the resized item once before picking it up will prevent the resized item from reverting to a normal-sized object. This must be done after each subsequent pickup and drop of the item in order for it to retain its unique size; failing to shoot the item before picking it up again will cause it to revert to the regular scale of 1.00 when dropped again.
To manipulate the size of items with the console, select the item then use the setscale # console command. After saving and reloading, the item will change to the scale specified. An easier way to do this is to drop the item, set the scale with the console, then immediately shoot, pick up, and drop the item. The item will then be resized.
