I'm having trouble using this with the HD patcher. i'm using the new beta version. Considering Mip Mapping looks just amazing i would enjoy if this was made compatible. Bunch of conflicts but wutevs :3
Can you explain the whole customer launcher thing?
Where would I copy and paste this info:
set APPDATA=C:\Minecraft
start javaw -Xmx256M -Djava.library.path=bin/natives -cp bin/minecraft.jar;bin/jinput.jar;bin/lwjgl.jar;bin/lwjgl_util.jar net.minecraft.client.Minecraft
Just curious.
Thanks!
This. i dont understand it. I alredy tried to create a random archive with an .cmd extention, it dosnt works...
Try creating a .TXT file, copying the text into it, making file extensions visible(on XP Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View -> Hide extensions for known types), then changing the TXT to CMD.
Please make the OC+Mipmapping version Optimine Compatible :3
EDIT: Oh, and the Mipmapping doesn't work properly with texture packs. Messes up the water.
How it should look:
How it looks w/ x256 Texture Pack:
How it looks w/ x32 Texture Pack:

Put this mod in BEFORE you patch the game with the HD patcher...
At least that's what I did, but as you can see from my screenshots Mipmapping ****s texture packs :-S
I think I have OC + MipMapping installed, may be just OC, but is it just me or do blocks at around medium range look like they aren't rendered correctly?

*** UPDATED - Added chunk loading optimizations (like mod CAF) *** *** UPDATED - Modular and configurable (install only what you need, configure it as you like it) ***
All versions (classic, exp. OC and mipmap) are combined together in OptiFog Full.
For installation and configuration details see "Readme.txt" and "optifog.txt".
Please report back if/how the chunk loading optimization works for you.
Do not forget to configure it first, an example configuration is in "optifog_OC_MM_CAF.txt".
For some reason this crashes my minecraft. I've tried it with the default "optifog.txt" file in the full zip, as well as with no config file at all. I included all the .class files.
I log in, create a new world called "Debug" and a seed "Debug" (for benchmarking), and it will soon crash with the following error:
java.util.ConcurrentModificationException
at java.util.HashMap$HashIterator.remove(Unknown Source)
at i.a(RenderGlobal.java:995)
at mw.c(EntityRenderer.java:505)
at mw.b(EntityRenderer.java:426)
at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(SourceFile:700)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
This is a fresh minecraft.jar with only the class files for optifog full in it.

Just your friendly, neighborhood /r/Minecraft mod.
The OC version (w/ Optimine) lags lots, but the classic works just fine. You said you expected problems on ATI cards, so I wasn't too hopeful. Regardless, I still notice a huge difference! Good work :smile.gif:

Notch could replace Minecraft.net with goatse tomorrow and never publish an update again; the only legal recourse I have is to shake my fist at the screen.
I upgraded to the FULL version with all options on, with a clean minecraft.jar and moments after entering my world I crash, and I notice some blocks disappearing in front of me.
Using java version linked to on first page.
I tried patching in the full version with the OC_MM_CAF config and I it works for a minute at most and then I get:

Another error to report. When using the MipMap version, mods such as Minecarts Advanced fail to display the correct icons in the inventory and from a distance the fade into the incorrect blocks. eg. Gold Block or Obsidian. I have also noticed that in the mipmapped version water only animates in a small radius around the player and fades to the default texture if using a texture pack, please fix if possible.

Love it.
Now, if only CAF was fixed in MP... and both CAF and Mipmapping were made compatible with Optimine.
Along with Mipmapping working with HD textures.

I tried patching in the full version with the OC_MM_CAF config and I it works for a minute at most and then I get:

The world will load, then very briefly after loading will crash.
I've noticed I don't crash until I start looking around, however.
*****, get in my minecart.
Please? It'll really make many, MANY people, including me, happy.
