It's funny that Optifine can replace MCPatcher, because I use MCPatcher to patch Optfine. :tongue.gif:
You should add another fix for flickering/transparent blocks that I found: Disable 'Advanced OpenGL'. Speaking of which, what's this 'Threaded Optimisation' you speak of? I can't find it anywhere.

OptiFine don't replace MCPatcher, OptiFine replace the HD textures, HD fonts, BetterGrass and Custom Colors mods that are in MCPatcher :smile.gif:

With the new version of the Aether 1.041, Optifine is no longer compatible with the Aether (the old versions of both mods were compatible with each other). The new versions have a few class file names (yy.class, for example) that are the same - one gets over rided and causes the other mod to not work. Anyone out there excited/willing to do a merge for these two awesome mods?
I have a serious problem with the Anti-Aliasing experimental version of Optifine. I downloaded it and installed it and it worked fine, but I decided it wasn't worth the lowered FPS and I uninstalled it. Now, I have strange lines surrounding all the blocks and above torches, and it causes quite an annoyance.
I have looked up the problem online, and all of the posts say that disabling anti-aliasing in the graphics card control panel, in my case nvidia, so I did that. No effect. Then I enabled it. Nothing. Then disabled it again, and again, and again. Nothing.
So, I reinstalled the AA version. It fixed the lines, but upon switching .jar files, I still get the lines, despite turning off AA in the options. Same effect if I leave it on and then switch. It's not too much of a problem, only with the AA version installed my FPS is much lower, and I'd really rather not be tethered to an experimental version of a mod.
My drivers are up to date, but I am reinstalling my graphics card driver now to see if there is any effect. I'd really appreciate some assistance on this issue.
UPDATE: Reinstalling graphics card driver did not help.
why does stepping on pressure plates, clicking buttons and sleeping in beds cause chunks to unload until I do a block update (place a block)? I have Rei's minimap, TMI, SPC, WorldEdit and Random Mobs installed. I've installed Optifine with MCPatcher but unpatched HD Textures, HD Fonts, Better Grass and Custom Colors.
I have a problem, It says minecrafr updating and don't want to finish updating. Please PM me if you know the answer to this as I won't see this thread again.
You would he PM you about it? That way no body else with the same problem would get a sulotion.
Btw, I believe that you installed the mod wrong. Did you delete META-INF?
okay im using the MT version right now, everything is working nice. but is it possible to make it compactible to watershadermod? i have modloader installed and tryed the water shader mod, result is transparent water. thanks
Set graphics to fast.
Love the mod, but every now and then large chunks of textures disappear, usually reappearing after moving away. What could cause this?

OptiFine
You need to choose. The Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering will get merged into all the other versions later.
