I assume this bug is related to the better grass bug, but the south facing side (the side you see while facing north) on connected textures doesn't work. They work from the three other directions and the bug doesn't effect glass panes, just glass, bookshelves, and sandstone.
First time use, and I'm impressed! Even I can play normally with all the best settings, this mod has greatly improved the loading of the map. And adjusting the settings, mipmaps and smooth, the graphics have improved considerably.

Not sure if this is optifine preview related, but my HD textures dont seem to be working. Like the texture pack works fine, but the fancy stuff, like glass and water dont change.

With Better Snow on, when snow is rendered under redstone circuitry, the redstone texture keeps flickering as the player moves.
I've donated for Optifine, because it's such a great modification but I don't see any cape. I've entered my Minecraft name correctly when I donated for Optifine. Accidently I've donated twice but that's not a problem.
How can I acquire this cape and activate it in Minecraft? I've turned "show capes" on but there's nothing.
Sincere and heart felt complements sp614x. You have done a mighty job with Optifine. I'm running 1.2.3 on my laptop with far distance, and a 64x texture pack (only at 10 fps, maybe 64x textures was a bit too ambitious ).
I am having a problem with better grass though, currently it is not working for me at all. I have graphics on fancy, but they're not showing.

I've been having problems with 'custom colors' for grass textures. This seems to work normally with mcpatcher, however that's not the case with optifine. The texture pack is John Smith's and I'm using your magic launcher to set up all the mods. I made sure it's a clean .jar file and I don't get any errors.

P.S.: I decided to downloading Misa's texture pack just so I can test this, and it seems to work normally. Now I'm torn since I'm not sure whether the problem is with the John smith's TP or with optifine. I'll look into the texture, to see if I can find anything, however if you have any ideas I would appreaciate it!

MCPatcher is probably ignoring the configuration as the grass blocks have default biome colors.
OptiFine is doing what the configuration says.
I do not know if it is me or what, the dirt texture had all 6 side turn into the green patch without the brown dirt patch. I tested with default and custom texture, however all 6 sided of the dirt(item id 02) into the top surface.

I have a question about Magic Launcher. If you start Minecraft do you have it in. Or do you get an other launcher for minecraft?
Because I just want to start my Minecraft with the default Launcher.
And will the full version of Optifine 1.2.3 be easy to install just like the Optifine for 1.1?

The cape should be active now.
You can set FogStart to 0.2 and the fog will start near the player.

All mimsy were the borogoves, and the mome raths outgrabe.
Double check the Meta-Inf folder.

This is a bug, it was not compatible with Java 1.5.
Next version should be fixed.
