Is it worth biting the bullet and admitting the MT version will never be Forge Compatible so that it can be brought up to date with the new features such as Void Fog etc?
Having the MT capability (which is very useful) would be a good tradeoff for those who do not use Forge. All you would have to do is say "Forge users, run Classic or Smooth only. Non-Forge users, choose Classic, Smooth or MT."
The MT version is already working with Forge, will be posted shortly.
No, it was not easy to get it running.
Would it be possible to add an option that makes Better Grass work only for grass, and not for snow? It gets a bit confusing when dirt covered with snow looks the same as snow blocks.
Need some help with a strange case: My problem is with 1.7.3 on a heavily modded minecraft...does this rule me out for help?
If not but it has been answered before: sorry but reading 400 some odd pages is outside of my time constraints.
Disclaimers aside here is the problem: I am using minecraft 1.7.3 and the Technic Pack by the Yogscast (Amazing stuff!) but it causes my game to experience lag spikes (The technic pack is amazing is what I mean). So in an attempt to fix this I tried to install a 1.7.3 version of Optifine (don't get me wrong the Yogscast is amazing as well). However for some reason this causes textures of the Better Than Wolves and Industrial mods get completely ****** with (just wasn't the subject of discussion here).
So ya, is there a way around this? Do I have to install optifine before the technic pack? If so how do I keep my current save game doing this? If not...what do I do?
Does anyone have a texture pack that works with Optifine (No White Endermen, Spiders etc.)
I really want my painterly to do this but it doesnt :sad.gif:
I am still not able to reproduce the white spider/endermen effect.
Tested with default texturepack, DokuCraft, Misa, MixCraft, Soartex, Sphax PureBDCraft and Painterly.
Also tested with only OptiFine or combinations of Forge, BuildCraft and RedPower.
It could be a driver/hardware issue when handling transparency.
No, between 1.7.3 and 1.8.1 there was a change in how the glowing eyes were drawn on spiders and endermen, with spider_eyes.png and enderman_eyes.png. Most texture packs updated to 1.8 have taken this into consideration, so any texture pack you download now will likely fix it.

For me only painterly generated white texture bug. But this only happens if attack a mob(aggresive mobs) and their left face just goes white(only left face).

Too addicted with Counter-Strike: Source for some reason...
Usually, I have always had the best performance with the "Multi-Threaded" edition. Since the "MT" edition hadn't been updated yet, I was using the "Smooth" edition instead. After upgrading from Smooth C1 to Multi-Threaded C2, I am now getting small lag spikes every so often when doing things like repetitive tasks. This is even when my FPS is still showing pretty high.
The other problem that I am now having (that I also previously did not have until now) is the "see-through-world/non-rendering" issues other people have reported. This will sometimes happen really quick when doing a repetitive task and also sometimes even when walking. The world (or part of it) will flash as see-through for a moment.
However, on a brighter note, the clock render thing appears to be fixed.
i'm having problems installing this mod. i'm installing it on windows and i got to step 5. i'm using 7zip to open the .JAR file. you say to copy the .class files into the minecraft.JAR file but there is literally no way to copy/paste files using 7zip. what am i supposed to do?
copy the contents of the optifine download into any folder, then select them all, then drag them into the 7-zip window containing minecraft.jars contents
...wow that was incredibly simple. thanks a lot for the quick help!
This mod is still not completely Forge compatible. You've still got code in some of the basefiles that Forge needs.
So if you install Forge after this mod, ensuring that it's basefiles contain all of the hooks needed for the dozen other mods that depend on this one (including bugfixes) this mod causes severe graphical glitches.
If you install Forge first, the graphical glitches go away, but you risk introducing bugs in all the other mods being run. I had to manually go through each conflicting .class file and compare file sizes. I discovered this mod overwrites several Forge class files that were updated in the latest version of Forge (1.1.2)
What's the fix for this? Use forge like it was intended. This mod should be completely base clean.
They're graphics driver settings for your graphics hardware.
AA = Antialiasing
AF = Anisotropic Filtering
Google them.

is released.
What is new:
- Forge compatible
- Java 1.5 compatible
- all Classic features
- fixed all HD texture issues
Please test and report back :cool.gif:
MT kinda is a usage of second core of your comp's processor. I can't explain it in proper way so here's a linky to wikipedia
