Do you like Minecraft, helping people in need, AND winning prizes? Craft For A Cause is for you then!

That doesn't sound like a bug. The difference between looking straight ahead when flying and looking down when flying is that in the former case half of the screen is sky. When you look down, suddenly twice as many blocks are rendered. You should check if it also happens when walking on the ground normally.
Now that I'm at the top of the page, any update on the possible pre-rendered chunks bug I posted about near the bottom of page 386?
Thought i would give this a look however im not satisfied.
I tried OptiFine 1.8.1_HD_B1 and OptiFine 1.8.1_HD_S_B1 both got the same results. The framerate was superb i will admit, however it made the oil from buildcraft transparent, and the additional buildcraft pipes mods pipes look like pink blocks. anyone else had this and know of a fix?
yep this is what ive been saying several pages back but people keep trying to tell me its a texture pack problem but it happens with defualt textures too
when I install this ( I use this for HD texture packs ), it gives me some kind of error on the sprites, like grey grass, chunks of fire on the side of dirt, water and lava animation on redstone ore, can somebody help me?
i have modloader, modloaderMP, and forge installed, (thats the order i installed them)
Is it possible to add a toggle-able option for the void fog? I'd rather try to keep as least amount of mods on as possible, as Minecraft doesn't run the best for me.

I have a texture bug with the enderman and spider. They have no textures. When I had MC_Patcher the textures were there and I removed it by deleting Minecraft.jar so now I only have optifine. Any reasons or resolves?
I tried using the Optifine that improves systems with dual core cpu's. I have deleted the Meta-Inf yet using this mod will give me a black screen (no other mods installed either, I'v been installing mods for months now).
I checked under device manager > processors > and it listed two:
Intel(r) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz
Intel(r) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz
Is there any fix I could try or is that specific version just not going to work with mine?

You think slipping your pisser into a chicks stinking pisshole is better than exploring an endless world and building great wonders and adventuring?

It seems like there's a lot of complaints, but let me gladly thank you for an absolutely amazing piece of software. What you have done is changed my jerky 16x16 capable laptop into a 64x64 smooth play. Thank you so much. This truly deserves a digital diamond.
Since I can't give those out, here's regular diamonds:
Um. . . this is kinda weird. I installed Optifine classic, and now all the textures have been plunged into total darkness. There's definitely light in the world (and judging by the sky, that light happens to be broad fecking daylight), but all the objects and structures are just freaky black silhouettes of what they normally look like. I can tell by the iron bars and the cobwebs that it actually is using the selected texture pack, but its like the textures aren't responding to the light at all, which just ain't natural.
On the plus side, it seems to be running a lot more smoothly, but that isn't much use if I can't fecking see anything.

Are you using the CCTV mod? If so, that's what is causing this :smile.gif:

Have you removed the HDPatcher's HDTextures and Fonts? What other mods are installed?
For best results start with a clean minecraft.jar and do not install the MCPatcher.
Is it possible to add a toggle-able option for the void fog? I'd rather try to keep as least amount of mods on as possible, as Minecraft doesn't run the best for me.
Options Depth Fog and Void Particles will be in the next version.

This is a known bug, combination of:
A. Problem with dynamic Forge icons in OptiFine - to be fixed
B. BuildCraft uses MCPatcher classes to get the texture dimensions - will not work with HD textures until BuildCraft is fixed.
Everything was working great, I played for about an hour, changing view distances fairly often. I had it on far view for a while, changed the view distance and that is when the error occured.
The error: - sections of the map display as solid brown or black for each block, that includes everything from trees to grass. Plants just show a tall X shape with the same visual effects.
I can interact with these sections, say cutting down what I know to be a tree and receiving wood for it. I can also often update a 16 x 16 chunk to display correctly by placing dirt and removing it. But it can spread to other blocks and is a large scale problem. Reloading the world shows the same errors but in different blocks.
So any ideas?
Not a known problem, quite strange.
It could be the changing of the render distance in combination with Forge.
Can you check if it happens after changing the render distance or changing a setting which reloads all the chunks (graphics, smooth lighting, better grass, etc.)
Why can't you fix the fancy fog and fancy ambient occlusion(i saw this on the option.txt) detection problem with some ATI(or maybe other) cards. They are supported in my card but OptiFine does not detect that it supports it. Is the detection is only for NVIDIA cards? i have done a manual editing of the option.txt and tested, it is supported and working well.
Do you see a FPS difference when it is turned on?
The detection is general, but maybe some drivers does not report it correctly.

Yay! Its fixed. I can see things now.

This is most probably the graphics driver having ptoblems with the multithreading.

The breaking animation is working fine in the last OptiFine.

Nahh..
I'm using the mod for testing.. trying to see if my item sprites are fixed tho..
Going to try Optifine HD_B
