My tasker ruined my table and so far no response from customer service 24 hrs after writing in

My tasker ruined my laminate table by drilling multiple holes through the top while fixing the legs, then filled the holes with a putty that doesn't match and feels rough to the touch. Now, it has been over 24 hours since I wrote in to customer service about the issue and I have not heard back. Extremely disappointed with the Taskrabbit experience.

A Ripoff Tasker

Dear task rabbit, this has been a horrible experience. My tasker completely ripped me off, he lied about the time and mileage and reported an inaccurate time frame for my task. I am livid! He charged me $159 for a 30 minute job. He listed his task rate at $15.06 per hour. This is beyond upsetting. I’ve disputed this with my credit card company since I have not been able to get in touch with Task Rabbit customer support. I left the tasker a very bad review for his dishonesty. I have screenshots of all of our correspondence so I’m definitely not permitting this rip off!!! Task Rabbit! Protect your customers better! If I don’t get my funds back then I will be reporting this to the bbb.

Amateur Hour

You wouldn't ask the question if you had bothered to read my previous communication. Three different tasker appointments, 1 missed + failed communication, the next tasker destroyed parts, I dismissed and had to wait for Ikea to send extra parts, third tasker failed to tighten up 2/3 of connections on a loft bed. That TaskRabbit hasn't been sued yet for faulty installation work is remarkable... or maybe they have. Hire TaskRabbirt and don't expect service, expect your purchase to be broken, and expect faulty work.

My Taskrabbit experience was great

My Taskrabbit experience was great. 1) I like that this function is available for a reasonable cost. 2) it was easy to set up. 3) It is interactive with the Taskrabbit employee; we traded communications about timing, entry to the building, etc. 4) The employee was professional - polite, pleasant, and knowledgeable about how to quickly and efficiently assemble the product.

The Last Decade…yes.

Absolutely one of the best things I have found in the last decade! Wow, Taskrabbit! thank you! Not available in some places but where it is - it IS GREAT to feel I have a team of trusted great professionals to help me with all kinds of stuff.

Hit or miss

Hit or miss
My first tasker came quickly, was professional and really did everything he could to get the job done. My second tasker did not expect the task he was accepting even though I sent him a link of the parts I needed fixing, quoted me 3 hours for a job that a professional service quoted 1-2 hours for, and did not seem to be confident in what to do. He then told me he would charge me an hour because he had already came over to see the dryer and wasted my time. I’ll pay it, but it might be my last Task Rabbit. Too risky.

Moving Made Easy

Our mover was most efficient at his job. He had a clean van and was able to load all of our furniture into it. He was professional, but also friendly and talkative. I would use this business again.

Levi was excellent on all comms

Levi was excellent on all comms, on time, did a great job moving large furniture through narrow hallways and doorways, hung a 70 lb mirror in the gym. He and his helper were courteous, fast and clean. Will def use again.

Dishonest Taskers with dishonest…

Dishonest Taskers with dishonest prices. Reached out to customer support to help resolve the issue, but they have not been helpful at all. Despite multiple attempts of contacting them, I still have yet to actually hear back and discuss the issue with someone.

Like

Like: Easy to match, set up, and pay a person ready to help with a task.

Dislike: Profile pictures should be taken from their legal license. I clicked on someone who seemed younger and could handle the job in a 2-3hr span. The person who showed up was much much older than expected, and therefore slower.

She did fabulous work - but I was 'catfished' into spending more than expected.

Taskrabbit asks how long something will take and the customer gets quoted a price.
Ex. Task is medium 2-3 hrs.
The helper should work for 2-3 hours.
Then the customer can be prompted through the app to pay for more time, or end the task "on time".

Please also include an option for language options and be more transparent about using an interpreter app to communicate.

For these 3 reasons the job took longer, I spent more than expected, and we take language for granted trying to explain the exact tasks needed.

I wanted a thorough clean of a few major parts of the apartment and left the house for an hour because cleaning chemicals bothered my allergies/asthma - this woman was scrubbing walls inside closets for an hour, which was unnecessary and not listed in the comments/instructions. Because of the miscommunications, I had to extend the time an hour.

She was thorough and a wonderful house cleaner - but because of all of the above I was dissatisfied with the Taskrabbit app in general.

Consider flat rate based on specs and pictures

No way to determine if a Tasker is being meticulous or overly slow. Plus, the site fee is a bit high per hour in my opinion. I rather hire a flat rate professional off Angi. On a positive, I like the screening process- much like Angi.

Tasker 1 was a 2 Star Tasker 2 was a 5 star

The first Tasker I had was not good at all. He was a no call - no show and then when I rescheduled him, he took forever and did not finish the job.
The second Tasker was excellent and efficient and did a wonderful job. So it's hard to know how to rate!!

Deep cleaning of vacant and empty 850…

Deep cleaning of vacant and empty 850 sf 2 bedroom apartment. Should have taken 4 hours. Gave a range of 4-6 hours anyway. Taskrabbit cleaner took 6 hrs to get to 50% done and left. 3 days later he agreed to finish the job and only bill for another 2 hrs max regardless of how much longer it to finish. He billed me for another 5 hrs, despite our agreement of 2 hrs. Being that TR just lets cleaners bill for whatever they want, despite agreements made - there is nothing I can do. So it just cost me about $800 just to deep clean a vacant 2 bedroom apartment.
