Does anyone have a connection Bumble Inc. they can pass along or put me in touch with? There is an open VP, Global Marketing role here in Austin that's highly appealing. "Matchmaker" from Fiddler on the Roof always felt like my calling from the jump.

Such great news. Alamo is hands down one of the quintessential Austin companies that has thrived by beating to it's own drum and by curating experiences for movie lovers that few theaters do anymore. Where else can you catch a 1984 Time Capsule with the likes of Gremlins, Purple Rain, Beverly Hills Cop and Red Dawn? If a company is going to reinvent the theater experience, I'd place my money on Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, so this is a huge win for everyone.

Today marks the last day of Rooster Teeth, a pioneer in digital media and internet innovation that had an incredible 21 year run as the underdog. A company that never took itself too seriously, but made a serious impact on millions of fans around the world. Comprised of founders, creators, and employees who said “eff it, let’s see what happens” and my god, what a legacy it leaves behind as a result. I love having endless data at my disposal, but nothing will ever compare to taking risks and galvanizing people to explore the unknown together. I think it’s that kindred spirit that brought me to Rooster Teeth. A move that brought me and the family to Austin to start a new chapter of our lives. While I didn’t catch the company at its peak, the process of closing down the operation has shown the impact of the company in ways I could never have imagined. I’ve been at companies while they’re on meteoric rises and this was my first time watching the fall of Rome. It was painful at times, but educational too in so many ways. I decided to join Rooster Teeth because I wanted to learn under Jordan Levin. He was someone with a great track record, an amazing reputation and we clicked right away during the interview process. I wanted to become a better leader and I knew I’d get that opportunity under Jordan by being in the executive committee and meeting with him on a regular basis. While I learned a ton in my 2 years at Rooster Teeth, I think I learned the most in watching how things have been handled bringing the company to a close. It hasn’t been easy to make everyone at RT feel the same way about much of anything for a variety of reasons, but EVERYONE is leaving with their head held high, feeling taken care of and feeling like they have closure with a place and a fanbase that means so much to so many. It’s been a masterclass in taking an unfortunate situation and making people still feel like they’re leaving on a good note. So on my last day of work I carry that Rooster Teeth spirit and say “eff it”, I’m ready to take risks and big swings to hopefully foster experiences that will bring joy to people when it’s needed more than ever. Cue Kenny Roger’s “Gambler”, it’s not last call at Ricks Tavern in Ann Arbor, but the song has never seemed to have more meaning. And if anyone is looking for a new gunslinger to help with the legacy they’re building, “I’m your Huckleberry!”

This new branding work from a myriad of people at Rooster Teeth noted below just highlights the immense talent in the building and these very people will soon be free agents to help companies excel in branding, creative ideation, production, and post production.

In a changing world, it hinges on evolving expertise.”–Adam Grant Two years ago, I left a rewarding job at Amazon Prime Video because it felt like the right time to take on a new challenge. I was enjoying success launching films and tv shows with Amazon’s war chest of money, resources, and billions of eyeballs, but it started to feel too comfortable. Real growth comes when we get out of our comfort zones, and I view my career as a journey to learn as much as possible from great people along the way. That brought me to Rooster Teeth, a company with a huge reputation because of the impact it made in digital media since 2003. Rooster Teeth is truly unique because of the passion that it generates. That passion is a bonding agent between the employees, the content it inspires, and the community that it galvanizes. Pursuing interests fostered boundless innovation in the Web 2.0 era. Messing around and seeing what happened launched a direct-to-consumer business responsible for gamechangers in the media landscape like Red vs Blue, Achievement Hunter, which jumpstarted gaming content, and the emergence of video podcasts. Writing that seems farcical, but it’s incredible what passion and curiosity can manifest. It's bittersweet to acknowledge the end of the Rooster Teeth era after 21 odds-defying years. I was brought to the company to help re-center a brand that was struggling with its identity because we grew in so many directions by chasing our interests. A company that thrived with innovation struggled with reinvention because economic hardships created hiring freezes and budget cuts, forcing us to do more with less. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done to reshape the business, but the goal for profitability turned into a fight for survival. Sadly, we can’t keep fighting for tomorrow, but the passion and the pride in the Rooster Teeth building will be something that I carry forward and my talented colleagues created an infectious energy that brands can rarely develop. It didn’t go quite as planned, but as Adam Grant so eloquently notes above, I gained so much value in learning new lessons from incredible colleagues that have become friends. The outpouring of support I have received from the RT news is testimony of all the great relationships that I’ve built along the way and having that network will make the unenviable task of looking for the next opportunity hopefully feel that much easier. I call upon this network to please reach out if you have a beat on any job openings not just for myself, but for the incredible creative minds, strategists, project managers, producers, media planners, and designers with whom I was privileged to call upon. Rooster Teeth is full of talented people that are hungry to succeed, and they will certainly take that passion into the next chapter of their careers.

When we did our rebrand last year we wanted to have some fun like MTV used to have with their logo in the 80's and even the 90's. Our creative team full of uber talented people have been knocking it out of the park lately and you can feel the injection of playfulness coming back to the Rooster Teeth brand.
