Survivor Wiki

On the Survivor Wiki, policies and guidelines have been developed to help the site reach its goal building a growing, comprehensive database of all things related to Survivor. These set of rules are to be followed by all users, including Administrators.

Policies have community consensus and apply to all editors. Should there be amendments that you want to propose, please feel free to send an email message at survivorwiki@yahoo.com, after which a consensus would be sought. Policies need to be approached with common sense; adhere to the spirit rather than the letter of the rules, and be prepared to ignore the rules on the rare occasions when they conflict with the goal of improving the wiki.

These policies are lifted from practices and standards used by other wikis.

"Ignore All Rules"

If a rule prevents you from improving Survivor Wiki, ignore it. However, this is not a valid reason to violate that said rule. It does not exempt you from accountability. Most of our policies were derived from a lot of thought; and therefore, they should only be broken for even better reasons.

Ignoring a rule does not stop you from telling rule-breakers of their offense(s), but always assume their actions were committed in good faith. This also does not entitle you to deviate the Survivor Wiki away from its true purpose, which is to become a Survivor encyclopedia and fan community.

Exemptions will always arise in the future, and not everything in the policy is set in stone. Revisions will be made by the admin panel if need be.
