Soda Thompson

Sodasia "Soda" Thompson^[1] is a contestant from Survivor 46.

As a member of the dominant Nami tribe, Soda's vivacity was central to her tribe's high morale, while her indiscretions, many of which she was unaware, fueled her tribe's tensions. Despite entering the merge with a solid tribal alliance, Soda found herself blindsided at the Double Elimination due to her tight affiliation with Tevin Davis, becoming the first member of the jury.

How would your friends describe you? If I'm honest, my friends might say I'm silly, extra, and anxious at times, but they bear with me.
What risks have you taken in your life to make a change for the better, even if the outcome wasn't planned? I got married super young to a man from Brazil I had only known 6 months. He is amazing. It really worked out.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of? I am so proud of the life I have built. I have a great job and work hard to have honest relationships. I am extremely proud of the statistics and odds that I have overcome.
What is something we would never know from looking at you? I am deathly afraid of butterflies. I cannot even be in the same field as one, and I can sense when anything small, soft, and winged is nearby.

Soda entered the game as a member of the Nami tribe. While she initially bonded with Venus Vafa in the early days of the game, Soda was quick to abandon her after a series of disagreements, choosing to align with Tevin Davis and Hunter McKnight instead. Though Nami went on to win every single Immunity Challenge for the first 11 days of the game, Tevin began to grow weary of Soda's strong social game and started to consider voting her out over Venus if the tribe ever visited Tribal Council.

On Day 12, the three tribes joined together as part of the Earn the Merge twist. Though Soda was on the losing team and her name was brought up as a possible target, she managed to escape the vote unscathed. Ahead of the Double Elimination on Day 14, Soda was placed onto a team with Tevin, Venus, Liz Wilcox, Charlie Davis, and Maria Shrime Gonzalez. After the challenge, Soda pushed for her team to vote out Venus, based off her dysfunction around the camp. However, Tevin believed Soda to still be a more of a threat than Venus and recruited Charlie, Liz, and Maria to vote out Soda. Thus at Tribal Council, Soda was blindsided in a 4-2 vote, becoming the first member of the jury.

At the Final Tribal Council, Soda told the Final Three her impressions of their game and then gave them time to either refute or condone her assessment. Soda was ultimately most impressed with Charlie's answer, and gave him her vote to be the Sole Survivor. However, he lost to Kenzie Petty by a 5-3-0 vote.
