After being one of the last placers in the opening challenge, Pontus nearly succeeded to ensure his spot in the game. He eventually failed and was sent to The Borderlands. There he formed good connections with everyone, up until his final elimination on Day 15.

As a result, they were ineligible to vote and they also became the only ones from their tribe eligible to receive votes. Also, the vote ended with a 4-4 tie between Lars and Pontus, forcing a revote. Kemo changed his vote to Pontus on the revote, eliminating him from the game.
