What is a Spoiler?

As defined by Wikipedia, a spoiler is "any form of information which reveals an element, summary, or detail of any piece of fiction which gives away the outcome of a dramatic scenario. Since the enjoyment of fiction might depend on the dramatic tension and suspense which is built, the external revelation of plot elements can 'spoil' the enjoyment that some consumers of the narrative would otherwise have experienced."

Manga Spoilers

Since the manga has ended, this section is no longer applicable and only remains for archive purposes.

Until the chapter is released by a public official translation site, that chapter's information is considered to be a spoiler. Therefore, until the official Viz translation is released, it is simply forbidden to add any information from it. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Chapter titles
  • Plot details
  • Characters who appear in the chapter
  • Images
  • Any fan-translated content

If edits are made, they should be reverted on sight. The information, as insignificant as it might seem, could potentially ruin the fun of reading a newly-released chapter for some.

Anime Spoilers

Episode articles are permitted to be made in advance if their titles have been revealed by an official source at the end of the previous episode, as this is thus information that has already been publicly released by an official source. However, no type of spoiler information may be added until the episode has actually been released. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Plot details, especially if they are anime-only
  • Characters who appear in the episode
  • Images
  • New voice actors

If edits are made, they should be reverted on sight. The information, as insignificant as it might seem, could potentially ruin the fun of watching a newly-released episode for some.

Discussions

The spoiler rules detailed above still apply in Discussions and on Message Walls. If you wish to discuss leaks or spoilers, please use the affiliated Discord.

Additionally, while this is not a solid rule, it's preferred that you add a written spoiler warning before posting any text or image spoilers in Discussions. This counts for any major spoiler: it is still a spoiler even if it's already been adapted into the anime.

Consequences

If an individual is found to have revealed spoilers against someone's wishes, they will be given a single warning. If the same individual continues to disobey the spoiler policy, they will be considered for a block from the wiki.

These rules are subject to change any time without prior notice. Any further issue not stated here is up to the discretion of the wiki's staff team.
