Asakusa ( (あさ) (くさ) Asakusa?) is a district in Japan's capital city of Tokyo, and the titular setting for the Asakusa Arc.

Overview[]

It is a large, heavily populated urban center with tall buildings and bright lights that illuminate the city during the night.[1] Many people walk through crowded marketplaces with dozens of business signs. Unlike Tanjiro's small town, there are cars of carriages guiding citizens through the roads. There is also a trolley system that runs throughout the city. The city sits on a bay decorated with a large fountain tower next to a large body of water.

History[]

Muzan Kibutsuji lived here under the guise of a human along with his wife and daughter and it is the base of operations for him. Lady Tamayo and Yushiro lived in a cloaked house in the city until they were discovered by Muzan's servants, Susamaru and Yahaba.
