Links[]

Noticed a couple times now you have asking for something to be made into a link. You just need to put in in square brackets. If the link is in red, it means that you are not naming it as it is titled on its page. You can look at other examples of links on the alien blaster page for a reference. Canceled games[]

Some of the information you are adding to the canceled games is unnecessary and is awkward to read (such as what you said about "Bethesda's Fallouts". Brackets and forethought on what to edit.[]

Hey there, I've been patrolling a lot of your edits as of late and wanted to give you some feedback, from one fellow editor to another. First off, your contributions are appreciated, but I noticed things on which you could improve.

Brackets []

I've seen you placing them in articles a lot. In my opinion, they only interrupt the flow of reading. If you want to accentuate certain words, either use quotation marks or make the word cursive. If you want to link to another article here on the wiki, use double brackets instead, e.g. [[Articlename]].

Forethought on what you want to change

I've encountered several cases, in which you added something with one edit, just to remove it with a second edit, literally a minute later. For example, you added an out-of-place comma behind Fallout 3 here, just to remove it a minute later here. Edits like these only clutter up the article's history unnecessarily and make it hard for other editors to keep track of changes you make. So I would recommend that you make up your mind about what you want to change beforehand. You can also make use of the preview feature while editing, that is what it is for.

Solid work[]

Solid work out there. Appreciate your help with those older game articles. To make it a bit easier on the patrollers, if you can try to combine all edits into one or two submissions (its called "batching edits" round these parts), it would be appreciated. You can use the preview function down below (it says "show preview") to see if it is to your liking before smashing that save changes button. That you for finally responding, please understand that your edits are noticed by the rest of us, good and bad, and while you aren't forced to answer messages from others, you can't do whatever you like, there are rules. Category[]

Hiya, Kate here. Saw your suggestion to move FO4 Interplay to Black Isle and I went ahead and did that and did the link clean up. You can always message me or another staff with help on those sorts of things, it can be easily missed in edit summaries. For categories, make sure you aren't removing the only category an article is under. I agree the last few could be in more appropriate categories, you can go ahead and either add those or make a more suitable one. Just as long as each article is in a category. Moving, moving, moving[]

Hey Kendall, a couple of notes:

I moved the FOBOS articles to their original titles, since we use the full name of the game as it was released. With the new UCX implementation coming shortly, heading real estate is not going to be an issue in the future.
On Abel, I moved it back, since one's a character present in a game, and the other is just a rough draft of a character from a design doc. For reference, Marcus is not placed under Marcus (Fallout 2), because he's a major character in two released Fallout games, and every other Marcus has marginal importance; however, the number of these marginal Marcus mates means a disambiguation page can (and should be used), with a link to it placed at the top using Template:For. In Abel's case, though, since there's only one other article, simply using Template:For to link to the other one will suffice.
There was a third thing, but I forgot what it was. I'll get back to you if I remember.

Verifying and updating links after moving a page.[]

Hello Kendall,

when you move a page, it is your responsibility to verify and, if need be, update any links that are pointing to the article.

To do so, please navigate to "My Preferences" -> "Gadgets" and make sure, that the checkbox for "What Really Links Here" is active.
Afterwards, you can just select "What really links here" from the toolbar on the bottom right side, on every page that you have moved and start checking on the links.
Note that pages starting with User:,Forum:, Blog: or similar names do not need to be updated.

To give you a head start, these articles were moved by you and still need verification and/or updating:

Fallout Extreme Xbox concept submission document to Fallout Extreme Xbox concept submission

I have undone your move of the Moon article. It is easier to link to the way it was.

Sorry for not updating and verifying those links. The reason why moved 'Moon' to 'The Moon is that the only moon present and relevant to the Fallout series is Earth's moon also most people call the moon 'The Moon'. Suggested Harold merge[]

Hello Kendall,

I saw that you suggested to merge Harold from Fallout Tactics with Harold from the main series.
I disagree with that merge.
Compare how he looks in:

Lorewise, I think that it is highly unlikely for him to mutate back to a regular-looking ghoul for FOT, only to mutate into how he looked previously (one-eyed and overgrown) for FO2. Therefore, I do not think that the two characters are the same person, it looks more like a nod of the Tactics developers towards the Harold from the main series.

Let me know what you think after comparing the images from those dates I listed.

After some reconsideration, I have chosen to withdraw my thoughts of the Harold from Tactics being the same Harold who appears in FO1 and FO2 (and later FO3). Harold was beyond what one would consider a ghoul even by the times of FO1. By FO2 he even had a branch, wonder what they would have done with Harold in Van Buren? I will change the direction of my efforts from the 2161-2241 era to the 2241-2277 era. Until we meet again... Kendallb9000 (talk)

Your making fairly large changes to headers and content on established/important pages, and I'm questioning these, especially since your an new user (at least your last edits are a while back), and you're not leaving summary comments.
