RE: Annexation of Canada[]

I don't really think of it as extrajudicial on two counts, first is due to the fact that Canada had been annexed by the US at the time and the Canadian was an enemy combatant. While not the way our military handles POWs, in the fallout universe it may indeed be quite different. Additionally there's the likelihood of there being circumstances of martial law which (while speculative) would be quite likely in a territory that was recently "annexed" (really invaded and taken over). Furthermore I felt that extrajudicial was somewhat unnecessary and due to our lack of knowledge of the legal system in place there could very well be speculation, and given the lack of evidence just leaving it as an execution of a Canadian freedom fighter was the best way to do it as it avoided unnecessary and/or potential speculation. Hunh...not quite the way I see it, but if you want to get that technical, I getcha. Kinda makes you wonder if new hardline laws were instituted that stated, "Any member of a belligerent party, not officially recognized by any legal government, in opposition of the U.S. Government, in a time of war, whom are taken into custody, are subject to indiscriminate, on-site, execution with extreme prejudice. This measure is taken to ensure that minimal tax dollars are spent on unnecessary liabilities such as a use of tribunals by enemy combatants claiming to be POWs." Unlikely that this idea would be influenced by the Iraq war since FO2 came out years before such controversy on this issue was spiked more so than what happened with it over 'Nam. I also wonder if the dissolution of the UN has something to do with American Soldiers taking such seedy liberties? I guess we'd have to see if Fallout 4 elaborates on it, along with so many other questions. --Christengo (talk) 00:16, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

GNR News[]

Anything anyone says has been typed out in the G.E.C.K. editor. I'm assuming this is mainly for subtitles, but there might be another reason to have it. In game spelling, grammar, and so on can be seen by turning all subtitles on in-game or by reading out the lines in the GECK. 69.125.134.190 20:00, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

Hunh...I did not know that. o_o Is there anything in the G.E.C.K. editor on the Broken Steel broadcasts? --Christengo (talk) 20:22, August 28, 2013 (UTC)
Yep. There would have to be something. 69.125.134.190 20:29, August 28, 2013 (UTC)
Why not add the ones that were left out from completing Who Dares Wins then? I could've sworn there was something Three Dog said about taking pity on The Enclave for not having a home anymore. On top of that, there should've been a reaction to blowing up the Citadel if chose to finish it with the bad ending. --Christengo (talk) 20:40, August 28, 2013 (UTC)
I can look into seeing if there are new news segments that we don't have, and I'll add them in if I find anything. 69.125.134.190 20:43, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

C4[]

No, I have never been able to use C4 to blow up doors, but that doesn't mean C4 can't destroy doors. Gameplay and lore involving weapons often contradict each other. However, the page you edited was an overview page, a page strictly for the lore side of the weapon, so the note was unnecessary. For instance, the lore of the minigun is that it can fire 60,000 rounds per minute, but in actual gameplay it can only fire 6,000 rounds per minute. However, we still do not add that to the minigun page because that fact has nothing to do with the lore. So again, the fact that C4 can't be used on doors is a gameplay limitation and has nothing to do with the C4's lore. Paladin117>>iff bored; 01:49, January 13, 2014 (UTC)

Is there a rule about that? I must've not read it. --Christengo (talk) 01:51, January 13, 2014 (UTC)

Video[]

Yes, that is a policy. It's the only policy on videos that we have. Here's a link. Paladin117>>iff bored; 19:28, May 17, 2014 (UTC)
