Mirelurk?[]

I don't think this is a mirelurk. It looks like a whole different creature to me. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 16:04, June 4, 2015 (UTC)

I agree with Jasper on this one. It has similarities to a mirelurk, but we cannot be sure that that is exactly what it is. I still think we should have an article, but for now, something much more obscure as a name. 'Unknown aquatic creature' or w/e. 69.247.6.120 16:08, June 4, 2015 (UTC)

Mirelurk? 2[]

So, judging by the fact that there's no deletion thing at the top of the page we're just gonna accept that this is a mirelurk without any evidence... even though it look nothing like a mirelurk... ZebesianSlayer (talk) 16:58, June 8, 2015 (UTC)

Well, it is just the angle that shadows it. To me, it looks like its body armor is just in shadows, while the face is covered and it has those claws resembling mirelurk's. The only thing that does not add up are the legs.

Or at least it looks similar to mirelurk, may be based off it. ☢ Energy X ☣ 19:18, June 8, 2015 (UTC)

There is a high possibility that the creature is a mutated wanamingo. They were planning on their addition in Fallout 3, but ended up as cut creatures. 69.247.6.120 19:36, June 8, 2015 (UTC)

After looking closely you can see two gaps between the left arm, meaning it must have more than two arms, if I'm not mistaken, and gives me the impression of an octopus-type creature. But you never know, it could be a new type of mirelurk, since lakelurks/mirelurk kings look nothing like regular mirelurks. When you think about it, mirelurk could be a catch-all term throughout the wastelands for any aquatic-type creature, but then again, that's just speculating, but we should still take that possibility into account though when we think about it. 1== Possibly Variant ==

I know we're going to have Mirelurk queens again, but one of the enemies listed in Fallout Shelter is a "barnacle-encrusted mirelurk." Considering that it describes regular ones and mirelurk hunters separately, I think this may be a new enemy type. Thoughts? --Est Nikkas Oth Mithas (talk) 11:07, October 13, 2015 (UTC)

No barnacle ones, but I found a Legendary Mirelurk Razorclaw at Lake Cochituate. --Est Nikkas Oth Mithas (talk) 20:50, November 11, 2015 (UTC)

New Mirelurk Queen locations[]

Mirelurk Queen location to add, off by the coast in Revere Beach Station, was swimming by the station to avoid it so i could go down south, and when i reached the southern lip of that location, i had been spotted by something which i confered with VATS to be a Mirelurk Queen which had spotted me underwater. Needs confirmation by another person. -- I can confirm the mirelurk queen about 100 yards southeast of Revere Beach Staion. There is a small pier near 2 dead dolphins and she attacked me near the end of it.

-- I came across one about halfway between Coastal Village and the Museum of Witchcraft (level 56 - could it be a levelled encounter?) Mctaff350 (talk) 14:28, November 30, 2015 (UTC)

Link Locations[]

The links for the meat, both normal and soft shell are linked to the fallout 3 items. Should a new page be made or should those pages be updated? 68.43.16.96

Mirelurk Queen Goo Pile[]

Is there any way to interact with the "Mirelurk Queen Goo Pile" apparently left upon the death of a mirelurk queen? I think a sentence about no such way of interacting having been discovered yet should be added to the "Mirelurk Queen" section.

I think the goo pile will only happen when you use plasma weaponry, and yes, the piles (as with lasers) may become bugged.
In Nuka-World, I found one while fighting the Nukalurk Queen. Some of it's acid sprays hit the corpse of a Nurkalurk King I had previously killed, and when I came back to loot it, it was dissolved into a puddle of goo. It was similar to the puddle from an enemy disintegrated with a plasma weapon, but it was the same color as Mirelurk Queen acid and had its own completely unique texture. Also, it was called the "Mirelurk Queen Goo Pile" when I commanded a companion to retrieve loot from it. I think that this deserves a mention. Mirelurk kings are frogs[]

I think it's worth mentioning that the kings are a mutated species of frog. If you listen carefully to the sounds they make, they make the ringing noise that frogs make.

Invisible Glowing Mirelurks[]

I was passing through the little docks between the Shamrock Taphouse and the Custom House Tower and as I'm walking a Glowing Mirelurk just popped into existence right in front of my character's face. Killed it, kept on walking and it happened again. It wasn't an invisibility effect because I reloaded to make sure. Just wondering if it's happened to anyone else, or if it's worth noting.--190.234.212.176 17:59, January 3, 2016 (UTC)

Another location[]

One queen was standing outside a small boat lending shack south of the bridge leading to Mahkra Fishpacking for me. --93.232.166.224 00:03, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

Hatchling dont give Loot anymore[]

Since when is their loot (softshell i remember) disabled... HomerDOHSimpson (talk)

Maybe your previous character had found the Wasteland Survival issue (at Sunshine Tidings Co-op) that gives more meat from kills? I never get anything from hatchling unless I have that issue, in which case I usually get mirelurk meat. Cattlesquat (talk) 16:09, February 10, 2016 (UTC)
I've been getting meat from hatchlings ever since the 1.4 (non-beta) patch. Before that I remember I wasn't. HalloweenWeed (talk) 16:06, March 17, 2016 (UTC)
I don't know about the Version, but Cattlesquats tip with the Wasteland Issue solved it (I totally overlooked that one) HomerDOHSimpson (talk) 23:40, March 17, 2016 (UTC)

Mirelurk Hatchlings[]

Can it be noted on this page that the mirelurk hatchlings are apparently reskinned radroaches on this page? I've had them gib into radroach pieces three times so far while exploring Spectacle Island. Great Mara (talk) 16:50, March 3, 2016 (UTC)

New Mirelurk[]

There is a new mirelurk variant in Far Harbour, called the "Bloodrage Mirelurk." Using the awareness perk I saw the following stats: Lvl 42, DR 201, ER 145, immune to radiation. It has glowing red eyes and spikes on the shell.

Yep we need to add it to the variants.GalacticJesus

just to let you know[]

Mirelurk King - Lurker?[]

Am I the only one seeing a (admittedly, VERY vague) resemblance between Mirelurk Kings and the Lurker from Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC? I mean, they have obvious differences (MLKs can be quadrupedal, while Lurkers are exclusively bipedal; Lurkers can spew inky tentacles from their mouths, etc), but they DO have resemblances (fishman-like appearance, similar heads (again, with difference, but they DO look similar), etc)...
