Mentats is a drug in Fallout: The Board Game.
Characteristics[]
During a test or fight that uses Perception or Intelligence, the player character may exhaust the card to automatically gain one hit on the test.
Afterwards, they must succeed at an Endurance test or gain the Addicted trait. While Addicted, they cannot discard this card and must pay one bottle cap in order to unexhaust it.

Mentats can be drawn at random when taking a card from the loot deck.
Behind the scenes[]
The chem's name is a reference to Frank Herbert's novel Dune, in which "Mentats" are humans trained for computer-like mathematical and logical computations.
