"I Can Dream, Can't I?" is a song written in 1937 by Sammy Fain and Irving Kahal. The best-known version of the song was recorded by the Andrews Sisters with Gordon Jenkins and His Orchestra in 1949.

The song is featured in the Fallout TV series episode "The Ghouls", in the scene when the Ghoul ransacks the Super Duper Mart after the death of the organ harvesters.

It is also included the official Amazon Music playlist "Music from Fallout" promoting the series.[1]

Lyrics[]

(Dream on, dream on)

I can see, no matter how near you'll be
You'll never belong to me
But I can dream, can't I?
Can't I pretend that I'm locked in the bend of your embrace?
For dreams are just like wine
And I am drunk with mine

I'm aware my heart is a sad affair
There's much disillusion there
But I can dream, can't I?
Can I adore you although we are oceans apart?
I can't make you open your heart
But I can dream, can't I?

I'm aware my heart is a sad affair
There's much disillusion there
But I can dream, can't I?
Can't I adore you although we are oceans apart?
I can't make you open your heart
But I can dream, can't I?

(Dream on, dream on, dream on)
I can dream, can't I?
