The Enclave officer uniform is a piece of clothing in Fallout: New Vegas.

Background[]

Main article: Enclave uniform

The Enclave officer uniform used in the field in the 23rd century[1] consists of two layers. The basic one is a black uniform, covered by a tan full-body outfit. The upper part has a prominent flap buttoned up on the side, with black gloves securely locked in place. The lower part of the uniform has no zipper and the pants are tucked in securely into black, knee-high boots with three side buckles each. The outfit is worn with a communication device over the right breast, a small pouch attached above the knee, a black utility belt and a black field cap with the Enclave device on the front.[2] It can be put on backwards unintentionally.[3]

Characteristics[]

The Enclave officer hat is the only hat to provide a bonus to Energy Weapons. The hat is depicted with a different insignia in its inventory icon than the insignia on the hat in-game.

Locations[]

The Enclave officer hat is worn by Judah Kreger if he participates in the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, while the Enclave officer uniform is only obtainable using console commands. A non-playable version of the Enclave officer uniform is worn by Judah Kreger during the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, which cannot be stolen or looted from him.

Behind the scenes[]

  • The design of the Enclave officer uniform went through several iterations when Adam Adamowicz was conceptualizing it. One of the earlier versions included a more mechanical, black look, with segmented armor and a hood for female officers. The final iteration used in the game featured an eagle with its wings spread out as a cap device, rather than the Enclave sigil. When the textures were updated, the inventory icon was unchanged.
