The automatic barrel is a weapon mod in Fallout 76.
Effects[]
When applied to a plasma or Enclave plasma gun, the mod converts the weapon into an automatic weapon, increasing rate of fire and recoil while decreasing range and ammo capacity. It also decreases aimed and hip-fire accuracy.
When applied to a Tesla rifle, the mod converts the weapon into an automatic rifle, increasing the rate of fire while decreasing range and aimed accuracy.

Crafting[]
Weapon modifications will modify an existing weapon, and any modifications previously equipped on the weapon will be destroyed, not unequipped. Loose mods cannot be crafted. For modifications unlocked through scrapping, the corresponding weapon must be scrapped in order to learn how to craft it.

- The automatic barrel mod may be crafted and applied at a weapons workbench if the relevant plan is known. It can only be learned from scrapping weapons of the same type.
- The mod for the Enclave plasma gun is unlearnable and thus can only be obtained already attached to an existing weapon found in the world. The loose mod exists in the game files, but cannot be found in-game.
- Loose mods for the Tesla rifle may be randomly sold by Responder, Raider, Brotherhood, and Free States vendors. They may also be found randomly in various locations or earned as quest rewards in The Mire, Savage Divide, or Cranberry Bog. Loose plasma gun mods exist in the game files, but cannot be found in-game.
