Protect yourself from the dangers of the Wasteland. If you're the sort to tinkererIn-game spelling, punctuation and/or grammar at an armor workbench and want to craft some impressively protective gear for yourself or your companions, choose this perk.Fallout 4 Vault Dweller's Survival Guide description

Armorer is a Strength perk in Fallout 4.

Effects[]

Taking this perk gives access to more advanced armor mods while using an armor workbench. Far and away the most important armor mods it provides access to are the levels of ballistic weave, because each level provides more resistance than both Toughness and Refractor put together. For convenience, Ballistic Weave is summed up here, assuming a green rag hat and military fatigues, ignoring the +2 Agility from the fatigues (so other than a helmet and power armor, all suits of armor encountered should stack with the listings below).

Rank Damage Resistance Energy Resistance Damage Resistance Gained From This Rank Energy Resistance Gained From This Rank
0 60 75 60 75
1 90 105 30 30
2 130 145 40 40
3 180 195 50 50
4 220 235 40 40

Notes[]

  • The perk is only needed to craft new mods from scratch, not for applying or removing mods. It is possible to remove a mod that cannot be crafted at the moment and apply it freely on a different piece of the same kind of armor.
  • The first rank of this perk is required in order to construct an armor forge from the Contraptions Workshop add-on. All four ranks are required in order to make every possible piece of armor with the armor forge.
