Feeling lucky? You should! If you enjoy the different (and usually gore-filled) methods of taking down foes using critical hits in V.A.T.S. and want to ensure this happens every time, employ this perk. Naturally, combining this with Better Criticals and Critical Banker results in massive damage potential with increasing regularity.— Fallout 4 Vault Dweller's Survival Guide

Four Leaf Clover is a Luck perk in Fallout 4.

Effects[]

Taking ranks of this perk adds a chance that every hit when using V.A.T.S. will fill the Critical meter. Higher ranks increase the chance further, but only the first rank is more valuable than simply investing in more Luck.

Ranks[]

Rank Requirements Description Form ID Chance to fill meter Average number of hits to fill meter, LCK 9 Average number of hits to fill meter, LCK 10
0 - - - 0 6 5
1 LCK 9 Feeling Lucky? You should! Each hit in V.A.T.S. has a chance of filling your Critical meter. 0004D895 .08 4.92 4.26
2 LCK 9, LVL 13 Each hit in V.A.T.S. now has an even better chance of filling your Critical meter. 00065E20 .10 4.69 4.10
3 LCK 9, LVL 32 Each hit in V.A.T.S. now has a very good chance of filling your Critical meter. 00065E21 .12 4.46 3.94
4 LCK 9, LVL 48 Each hit in V.A.T.S. now has an excellent chance of filling your Critical meter. 001D245B .14 4.25 3.78

Rank 1 adds an 8% chance to fill the Critical meter per every hit when using V.A.T.S.; ranks 2-4 increase the chance by 2% each, for a total of 14% at rank 4.

Notes[]

  • Due to filling the Critical meter, this perk synergizes perfectly with Better Criticals and Critical Banker.
  • Because this perk determines the chance of filling the Critical meter based on successful hits, rather than kills like Grim Reaper's Sprint, having a weapon with a low AP cost like a combat knife will net a filled Critical meter easily.

Behind the scenes[]

Vault Boy's outfit and fighting stance are a reference to the leprechaun mascot of the University of Notre Dame.
