Sorry to sound stupid but what are these options about
Load Far
Preloaded Chunks
and the Minimap options (i dont even know where this minimap is?)
Load far loads chunks so that they are ready to render (Only really affects small and tiny render distances...)
Preloaded chunks is background chunk loading.
It's "mipmap" not "minimap". it basically makes things viewed in the distance look 10x better, especially on high-res texture packs.
The FPS is fantastic but I have a problem. Whenever I install this mod, items dont appear when I break something or drop something. How can I change this?

Preloaded chunks loads more chunks than needed to avoid frequent chunk reloads. The background thing is not ready yet.
The sides of grass is gray.
Install order:

Is this a problem with optimine+optifog rewriting a class file thats needed by mcpatcher to render sidegrass? If so, which class file is it, and can i leave it out.

You don't need to uncheck HD Textures & Fonts, but I got a higher FPS without them.
Be sure that BetterGrass is checked "Off" in the Mod options in-game, or else you will get the crappy half-assed Bettergrass that comes with this mod.
Be sure that Smooth lighting is at 100% or else it will look like ****.
Ok, OP, please put this in your post.

I do not recommend patching OptiFog with MCPatcher.
And the BetterGrass fix is on the way.

If I only use the packing-feature of MCPatcher (no HD textures, HD fonts, etc.), then is that still an issue? Doesn't it then just extract all the mods into the minecraft.jar like I would do manually?

This should be OK as long as the OptiFog classes are not overwritten.

Install it on a clean minecraft.jar and try again.
