Production[]

After a successful first season, where the finale became the most viewed show in Noovo's history,^[3] it was confirmed on June 7, 2023 that another season was in the works^[4] The cast was revealed prior to filming on February 7, 2024 on social media and Noovo.^[5]

On March 4, 2024, more information was revealed about the aftershow, Survivor Québec en prolongation. Unlike the previous season, the aftershow would run for 60 minutes instead of 30 minutes, still on Sunday evenings directly after Sunday episodes. It will be hosted by Benoît Gagnon with consultant Jean-Thomas Jobin and with the help of collaborators Alex Perron, Alexandre Despatie, Geneviève Hébert-Dumont, Korine Côté and Joël Dandurand.

Twists/Changes[]

• Sweat: On Day 1, the tribe that lost the first Reward Challenge had to nominate two people to locate a buried chest within a time limit without a shovel. If successful, the tribe would be rewarded with basic survival tools and rice.
• Hidden Immunity Idol: A Hidden Immunity Idol was hidden at each camp. In addition, three halves were hidden before the merge, one at each camp and the third given to the person returning from Exile.
• Journey:
  • On Day 3, the tribe that won the Reward Challenge nominated someone to go on a journey. That person then picked someone from the losing tribe to join them. At the end of the journey, the path would diverge, leading both players to a slide puzzle. Success would grant them a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol, while failure would cost them their vote. While the player from the winning tribe had the option to decline, the player from the losing tribe was forced to participate.
  • On Day 8, the two tribes each nominated two people to send on a journey. The four players had to decide whom between the two tribes would receive a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol hidden at the following immunity Challenge.
• Tribe Switch:
  • Mock Vote: On Day 9, the tribe that was sent to Tribal Council would vote to send someone on the opposite tribe for one round. If they successfully survived the next tribal council, no matter if they attended tribal or not, they would return to their original tribe. Unbeknownst to the other players, the person voted to be sent on the opposite tribe would have the option to either go back to their original tribe or stay on their new tribe.
  • Tribe Switch: On Day 16, a Schoolyard Pick was conducted to determine the new tribes. Due to an uneven number of players left, the person that was left unpicked could choose which tribe to go to.
    • There was an advantage given to someone on the tribe that won the prior reward challenge that forced the user to swap two players.
• Exile: Starting with Day 13, after being voted out and departing Tribal Council, each player was given the choice to permanently leave the game or go into the unknown for a chance to re-join the game at the merge.
• Pre-merge Individual Immunity Challenge: The tribe that lost the Day 14 Immunity Challenge received a locked chest. At Tribal Council, they received a key to open the chest, revealing that the tribe members would immediately compete in an individual Immunity Challenge.
• Vote Steal: A Vote Steal advantage was hidden in one of the tribal rewards. Since it was not found, the other tribe was given the opportunity to look for it on their island before sending it back to the other tribe.
• Survivor Isolation: The winners of the Day 27 Reward Challenge must pick another duo to be sent to a small area on the camp where they live in isolation from the rest of the tribe and require their tribemates to bring them food. In addition, they must solve a cryptogram to earn the right to play in the next Immunity Challenge.
• Duel: The two players who received the most votes at the Day 32 Tribal Council would face off in a duel, with the losing player being eliminated from the game.
• Simplified Final Four Tribal Council: Instead of a traditional vote, the person who won the Final Immunity Challenge got to choose one person to take with them to the Final Three. The remaining two castaways competed in a fire-making challenge for the right to reach Day 42.

Notes: ^1 Anabelle was evacuated due to her medical condition. No vote occurred for her removal. ^2 Charly elected to quit the game. No vote occurred for his removal. ^3 The castaway voted out (Desneiges) would be switched to the opposite tribe for 24 hours. If they survive this mission, they will have the option of returning to their original tribe. ^4 Tribal Council resulted in a tie. Per Survivor rules, a revote was held where the castaways involved in the tie would not vote and the remaining castaways could only vote for those involved in the tie. ^5 Per Survivor rules, in the event of a deadlock tie, the non-immune players would have an open discussion to eliminate one of the tied players. If no consensus is reached, the non-immune castaways would be forced to draw rocks. ^6 Since no consensus was reached, a rock draw occurred. Dominic drew the odd-colored rock and was eliminated. ^7 A Hidden Immunity Idol was played; however, no votes were cast against its user. ^8 This castaway used the Vote Steal advantage, allowing them to steal another castaway's vote to vote twice at Tribal Council. ^9 This castaway's vote was stolen by the Vote Steal. ^10 On Day 32, the two players who recieved the most votes at Tribal Council would face off in a duel, with the losing player being eliminated from the game. ^11 A Hidden Immunity Idol was played, negating all votes against its user. ^12 Instead of a traditional vote, the winner of the Immunity Challenge, Ghyslain, would choose someone to take with them to the Final Three. He chose Kassandre. The remaining two castaways would compete in a fire-making challenge to determine the last finalist.
