Can you put it? Then when will it be held and where? 111.88.15.252 17:21, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

It will be held on Oct 3rd at 12:00pm EST and it will be streamed on minecraft.net and youtube. James Haydon (talk) 16:17, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

Date[]

A Mojang employee dropped the date of the convention, the latest revision should be reverted. It will be held on October 3rd, 2020. ThreeLui (talk) 02:46, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Do you have a source for this? These edits are being reverted since no sources are given, making it hard to tell whether those are actual dates or just speculation. –Sonicwave talk 02:52, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Do discord links work? Its where it was posted, if this link doesnt work I can see about posting a screenshot

Ok so here's the context: This was posted to the Cape Community Discord, its filled with Mojang staff, translators, Mojira moderators, and realms mapmakers. CornerHard works at Mojang and keeps in touch with Minecon and cape related things when asked if he can tell us about the event, he told us the date.

Hey please delete it’s not accurate, I am in that livestream and a regular it is not accurate date and therefor should not be added here, all official Minecraft announcement are given my Minecraft website Jrios1289 (talk) 20:57, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Yes but I see that you also removed another part of the article so that is why i reverted your edits also in your summary you did not say anything related to twitch as you must have a source with your edits yay---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 20:59, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
I'm not sure what this comment means; can you clarify? And have you got any sources?  Nixinova T  C   21:09, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
Nixinova The livestream is CornerHard's livestream from the realms dev and he said that he changed his mind or something, I looked back into the stream after a different person told me---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 21:31, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
I think CornerHard released the date before it was meant to be public information, and therefore wanted to clarify it hasn't been announced yet, although it's clear the date has been chosen and circulated among Mojang employees. ThreeLui (talk) 21:48, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
What do you mean by it's clear the date has been chosen and circulated among Mojang employees?---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 21:49, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
In his Discord post, he said specifically October 3rd. He thought it was already announced and said it, later realizing he wasn't meant to say that to the public. I'm saying its not made-up information, October 3rd is the date, its just Mojang hasn't officially made a post on it. ThreeLui (talk) 21:51, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
Ummmmm is that the real cornerhard? It's convincing as he just ended the stream.---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 21:52, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
It could be the real CornerHard. He doesn't want to get in trouble for leaking the live stream date so it makes sense he would delete it. ThreeLui (talk) 21:54, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
Delete what?---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 21:55, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

He made an edit removing the date because we aren't meant to know the date yet. He mistakenly thought it was already announced. ThreeLui (talk) 21:57, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Then why would he redact it? Don't spread false info---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 22:55, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

Super Mario Bros[]

You probably all know about this, it literally broke the internet. Steve and Alex + Zombie and Enderman will be added into Super Mario Bros. The announcement will take place roughly 45 min before Minecraft Live at 10:30 AM EST. Shouldn't this be here?

Regarding the "mob vote controversy", is it really notable?[]

Several IPs have been adding information regarding the "rigged" mob vote for Minecraft Live 2020 on mob pages that were part of the mob vote, and I honestly don't feel like its notable in nature for its own mention on the page. With that, I am nominating that the "Trivia" section be deleted from the page. BDJP007301 (talk) 15:54, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

The mob vote controversy should be mentioned, but any personal opinions/views of the matter should be removed and only a general summary should be kept. Also it should only be added on this page and not the individual mob pages. James Haydon (talk) 17:11, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Support We are attacking him and not enforcing neutrality.--Hedvigsen (She/her) (talk) 11:21, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
THIS! while it is notable that is is controversial, any claims of "rigged", "messed up" or anything similar should be removed. Dhranios (talk) 17:13, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Looks like i managed to reason on this. James Haydon (talk) 17:17, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Actually, adding onto this, should Dream's name be avoided, a bunch of influential people asked their fanbase to vote for their favorite mob, not just Dream. A mention here is potentially badmouthing them as well. Dhranios (talk) 17:19, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Well Dream was the most notable example out of this, as his tweet got the most likes, So a lot of people like to blame him for it. James Haydon (talk) 17:21, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
That still doesn't mean we should paint him explicitly in a bad manner; right now, the wiki is basically blaming him for everything regarding the mob vote; I find that unacceptable. Dhranios (talk) 17:23, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Okay we shouldnt be scapegoating Dream for the mob vote controversy and the glow squid being added but he still played a big role especially when he bribed his fans saying that he will follow them back if the voted for the glow squid. James Haydon (talk) 17:30, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Name?[]

Is there any word as the why the name of this event was changed from the previous MINECON moniker they used every other year? I came to this page looking for that and didn't find it 😅 DigiDuncan (talk) 04:31, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

Minecraft Festival?--Hedvigsen (She/her) (talk) 08:28, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
I'm just curious as to why this was the first year they dropped the MINECON title. DigiDuncan (talk) 20:08, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
I mean, Minecraft Festival has taken the convention role, MC Live is really just an reveal reel.--Hedvigsen (She/her) (talk) 12:06, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
Here is why. MINECON and MINECON Earth are 2 very different things. MINECON does like special things and idk what but MINECON Earth does panels, votes, update reveals, etc. MINECON Earth and MINECON Live are different becuase even though MINECON Earth was streamed, MINECON Live was streamed everywhere. On mixer, yt, twitch, and minecraft.net. MINECON Live was changed to Minecraft Live becuase it was fully online due to COVID. Minecraft Live will be changed to Minecraft Festival becuase Minecraft Festival is a revisit to MINECON.Humiebeetalk contribs 14:44, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
There was going to be MC Live anyway.--Olivia Capucine Elisabet (talk) 12:48, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
