Deletion request[]

The following discussion of a proposed deletion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.
The discussion is split up into main page and subpage deletion discussions in Deleting (splitting up above delete discussion) as this vote is a mix of people voting for one, but not the other and people voting for both.

These subpages go massively against the style guide and wiki rules and are written as a big ad, so I propose they be deleted as they are a huge target for nonsense additions (see histories).  Nixinova T  C  00:47, 1 March 2020 (UTC)

I no wan't that this page remove.Creeper minecraft (talk) 08:39, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
And what is that supposed to mean? - User-12316399 (talk) 06:06, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
Oppose I strongly oppose removing these pages. As someone who frequented this page when Galaxite and Hive were first added I believe this is important for info. In my opinion, just because this page is a frequent target for vandals and ads does not warrant its removal. Personally, I use and know others who use this page for breaking information. This seems to fall into the wiki’s style guide, so I believe removing it would be detrimental to knowledge. I propose that this page be edited to fix the issues, instead of removing useful knowledge.
P.S. I checked the “Minecraft Server Wiki” and it only talked about Java Edotion plug-ins, and seems to have nothing to do with Bedrock Edition servers. 75.83.189.18 03:11, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
Then maybe moving these pages there would make it be more to do with servers? - User-12316399 (talk) 06:07, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
I  Support removing the sub-pages, but I think that documenting the feature itself without mentioning the servers themselves could be done. — Godslayerchickennugget (talk | contribs) 16:25, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
Support deletion of subpages (or moving them to the Minecraft Servers wiki, which looks very inactive), but I agree with Godslayerchickennugget about keeping some info about featured servers themselves; perhaps it could be merged into Server list. –Sonicwave talk 18:28, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
I support~/want move servers advertisement to the minecraft servers wiki.Creeper minecraft (talk) 06:24, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Oppose why does everyone think this is advertising?, if anything it's mojang who's advertising these servers by putting them on the list---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 18:56, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
Oppose, unlike normal servers, featured servers are a part of the game, available automatically in a dedicated section. The servers are also partnered with Mojang Studios, which means Mojang provides them with monetization, store, wallet and login backend support, [1] making them featured servers quite closely related to them Mojang, so they aren't really "fan communities or servers."– Unavailablehoax (talk) 05:51, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
Oppose. Since Mojang is partnering with these servers, I believe they can be considered somewhat official. Also, if the pages are written like ads, that can be solved by simply rewriting them, not by deleting them. GrogTheGreatEvilGoblinWarlord (talk) 14:51, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
Oppose, they're part of the default game as it comes. SuperCofee (talk) 12:48, 6 November 2020 (UTC)

Galaxite[]

It says Galaxite is not available due to testing, but bedrock players are able to play it currently. Can somebody fix that? Thanks. 71.57.105.169 12:47, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

Deleting? (splitting up above delete discussion)[]

Considering there's a lot of mixed voting above about keeping the subpages or not, or deleting the main page or not, I suggest to split these 2 discussions up into 2 separate discussions. Any voting to delete or keep subpages should be in here. Dhranios (talk) (Join the wiki videos project!) 17:20, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

Weak oppose - it should definitely still mention their existence due to them being official, but otherwise needs major reworking. Deletion outright is undesirable. - User-12316399 (talk) 15:44, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

Strong support migrating the subpages to the mcservers wiki which is a considerably better place for them.  Oppose simply deleting them since they still deserve to be documented, just not on this wiki. - User-12316399 (talk) 15:44, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

Support deleting these subpages, but I don't want them to go away forever, as said, export them and if there are any problems doing so, at least move them to userspace or something that does not permanently erase the content. Blockofnetherite Talk Contributions 02:41, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
True, we should migrate them to mcservers wiki.Humiebee (talk) 02:46, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
Strong support for migration per above. Shouldn't this discussion be closed already? Consensus is obvious. Spectrogram (talk) 13:50, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Strong oppose deleting the subpages. Yes, they definetly need to be worked on to match the style guide but they aren't a too bad and they can of course be fixed. All of the featured servers are essentially partnered servers which also enters them into the marketplace partner program, which are businesses that work with Mojang Studios. To say it is a "big ad" (as per what Nixinova said) is not really what it is as they do not even mention anything about what they have in their stores. They also are listed by default with no removal option on the servers tab. Mind as well remove all the books/novels from the wiki then since I guess that would be considered a big ad since they even have links to stores you can buy them from. Stop adding 2b2t.es[]

Whoever is continously adding 2b2t.es needs to stop.
