Potential animation in between game footage[]
Game footage is likely not able to cover everything properly; perhaps an animation style could be added to elaborate on aspects, or clarifying stuff without direct in-game visibility. Opinions? Dhranios (talk) 20:48, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
- If you mean custom-made non-game animation over and/or in addition to game footage, then I think it can be useful. Having no such animation is just an additional constraint; and generally, if you have any other constraints than producing good results, you will eventually be presented with a choice to either abandon that constraint, or produce an unacceptably poor result. --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 02:13, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
Should english videos have the [EN] prefix?[]
Other language videos will have the language code in front of the video name to prevent confusion (all will be on the same channel), that was previously discussed with a rather clear consensus on discord; but what about english ones?

- Comment: a lot of other wiki languages doesn't have enough people to create their own videos. So i think all videos could be on English and just translated with the subtitles. --dr03ramos

How should we deal with old videos when new videos are uploaded showcasing updated mechanics? Should they be renamed and/or unlisted? Tutorial videos[]
I brought it up on the discord, but think it's best to also say it here.
I don't see the point in doing tutorial page videos. You can literally google it and find hundreds of videos covering the exact same thing already, and additionally, there's more important pages that need a video first. Dhranios (talk) 20:34, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

How to cover technical subjects?[]
I ran into the problem where technical subjects, such as custom dimensions and loot tables really aren' t easy to provide scripts for. Any ideas how to tackle those subjects?
I thought by myself that these subjects could be a different method: script, voice and video all by 1 person to have a more guide like video, showing the format, examples, etc.

What happened?[]
It says, "If the owner of the video has given you access, please sign in". Why? The videos on their respective pages show with the same message with the thumbnail appearing as a private video. Humiebeetalk contribs 21:45, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
- This is because Dhranios wanted all of his stuff removed after he left the Minecraft wiki. He didn't want to be associated with anything Minecraft related anymore, so all of the videos he had voiced were made private. James Haydon (talk) 13:42, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
