The Overworld is a dimension in Minecraft: Story Mode. It consists of vast stretches of various biomes and is home to humans and most mobs. From the Overworld, the player can enter the nether or the end.

In Minecraft: Story Mode, there is an alternate Overworld for each world a portal leads to. One of the known Overworlds is The Order of the Stone's homeland, which is accessed by a log portal in Portal Network. In the story, the term Overworld usually refers to the one in the Order's world.

Trivia[]

  • Sky City was thought to be floating over The Void; however, it was revealed by Jesse, Isa, and determinately Lukas after they fell down from the city that it was floating above an Overworld.
  • The other worlds may also have their own Nether and End dimensions. The Portal Network world has quartz mines in its Nether.
  • Each world has it's own portal design that leads to the Portal Network. The portal's design is based on the design they have in the network. However, instead of having a log portal to the Portal Network in the Order's Overworld, there is a portal to Sky City.
    • It's possible that there's a buried log portal to the portal network somewhere in the Order's Overworld, since the location of the mansion and sky city portals were buried in the ground and not inside a builders' temple.
  • It is confirmed that Sunshine Institute is in the Order's Overworld located right at bedrock level while the Underneath is located below it.[1]
