Page & Structure name[]
Is there any official source that states the name of Gold rooms to be "Bastion Remnant"? The term "Gold Room" is used by the patch notes article and known as gold_dungeon internally. Bastion Remnant is not used in any of the of the Hunt related minecraft.net articles. 🍍 Raybeano99 (Talk) 13:12, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- Well they highly resemble bastion remnants in terms of the structure and aesthetic. I find Bastion Remnants to be a more precise term than "Gold Room" or "Gold Dungeon". I just find those names to be too vague. James Haydon (talk) 17:13, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- That term has been made based upon the appearance rather than, from what I can find, official terms. What holds more value? Please elaborate upon the vagueness of the term Gold Room. 🍍 Raybeano99 (Talk) 17:30, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- Well it's vague because the term "Gold Room" only implies that the room is made of gold and has gold inside of it. Whereas the term "Bastion Remnant" implies more things about it, such as the structure and the mobs that spawn in it like the piglins. Gold Room sounds too generic and conjecture-ish, at least to me. - Hm. I can agree with those points... It'll be difficult, perhaps incorrect, to adjust to the term, especially with it sounding akin to a mission/location name (Could an alternative name be applicable?) and with Gold Rooms being used within patch notes, possibly in other official material as well. Making the term Gold room a redirect and have the term appear within the search dropdown, perhaps the transition pains could be mitigated.

new update.[]
So today I was playing, and I saw obsidian chest in a gold room, which I have never seen previously. But then, in the same ancient hut, I found a weird room, it was connected to the gold room, But it had a golden piglin statue looking over three gold chests. I saw several other minor things that I have not seen before, And almost all gold rooms I found had a ghast. Do you know if these are really rare things I came across for the first time today, or has there been some update I missed? --Flames of the nether (talk) 01:35, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
Gold Dungeon[]
I think that we should rename the page to Gold Dungeon rather than Gold Room because Gold Dungeon is how it is referred to in the game files. --Dour1234 (talk), 4 June 2021
