Bryan Cogman (born 1979) is a screenwriter and producer, known for having those duties in the entirety of HBO's fantasy series Game of Thrones (2011 - 2019).

He was the first revealed non-executive screenwriter for Amazon Studios' high-budget TV series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, chosen in 2019.[1] As a writer Cogman worked alongside Gennifer Hutchison (of Breaking Bad), Jason Cahill (of The Sopranos), John D. Payne, Patrick McKay, and others.[2] His two-year deal with Amazon Studios finished in December 2020.[3]

Cogman is currently working on an animated Disney film The Sword in the Stone, and an remake of Akira Kurosawa's Yojimbo.

He grew up in Oklahoma and Maryland, and in the 1990's was educated at the Juilliard School (of fine arts) in New York City.
