Hardcore Mode[]

The article does not belong here; there are no articles for different difficulty levels in the other Fallout games. The Tough Guy difficulty in Fallout Tactics has its own little place on the Tactics article.

His article was deleted for crap. Yours was deleted because we simply don't have a use for it. Depending on how much of the gameplay is changed, we might need to make a page later. Userboxes[]

Userboxes are just templates and can be used like any other template. For example, {{User PC}} on you userpage gives you This user plays on a PC userbox. You can see all the userboxes in Userbox templates category. Pay particular attention to general Userbox template. It allows you to make your own custom userboxes. Hi. I believe you. I just wanted you to be clear about the conduct rules. As for helping out, you might want to visit some of our active projects: The_Vault:Fallout_3_NPC_overhaul_project (the one I'm involved in, and we need all the help we can get!), The_Vault:Fallout_3_locations_project, The_Vault:Item_page_overhaul_project. If you'd like to participate, read both the project page and its discussion page. Then, dive in where you think you can do some good. And, don't be afraid to ask questions. When you edit a page, look at the top right of the screen for a button called "Source." Click on that button to convert your edit page to wiki text, instead of the Rich Text Editor. You will be able to see the templates written out (the green puzzle shaped things) as well as see the formatting more clearly. Check out Help:Editing for some good info, mostly about using the RTE. Fallout and Fallout 2[]

These are two of my all-time favorite games, so of course you should get them.

However, they are unlike Fallout 3 in every way. Be prepared to go back in time graphics-wise. The perspective, gameplay, etc., is all different. If you can learn a new (to you) system for thinking through turn-based combat and character development, then I think you will find much joy.--Gothemasticator 06:01, February 17, 2010 (UTC)

I don't actually read the articles, I just delete the new edits.

Learning to make good edits[]

Here's some pointers:

• If someone undoes one of your edits, especially an admin, ask politely why they did it. This way you can learn the difference between helpful edits and unhelpful ones.
• Do not complain about your undone edits or accuse the other editors of being unfair. Good job keeping your language in check, but you have a lot to learn. Assuming you know best won't help.
• Spend more time reading the editing guidelines and project page guidelines you have been linked to. Most of the reasons for your undone edits can be found there.

Today is February 19, 2010. On the page Jalbert Brothers Waste Disposal, you made some edits that were incomplete. They are done in a manner than can be viewed in a manner as if you really didn't care about what you were doing. You have been warned OVER and OVER to read the guidelines that ARE linked to you page. For a reason unbeknown to me, you have not done so. In this article, you moved a "trivia" section from the "Notes" section. If you have read the guidelines, you would know that the proper TOC for trivia related items id "Behind the scenes". You also removed the article tag and left an empty TOC in the article "Notes". Please consider reading all of the rules before making anymore edits. It may sound like I am chastising you, but in this instance it needs to be done. I am not doing this to be mean to you, I'm doing this for the good of The Vault. With the new game coming out, we need all the editors we can get. Creating the user boxes is relatively simple, though I'm not entirely sure about the code itself, but mine are like this (take out spaces).

Just thought I would comment on how to handle the various jerk-ish behavior you sometimes encounter.

• Don't respond to insulting comments. If they're really bad, alert an administrator.
• Keep your own correspondence professional and civil, even when the other person is being a jerk. Don't let them get to you.
• Just ignore anything you can.

It's better if you can keep yourself happy and sane, and let the jerks be unhappy and troublesome.

ey i noticed u use entire links but thats not neccesary its way easier and fast if you use an direct link just open then typ what ur refering to watch Capitols so u get for sample [[Arlington house]] though this must be done in context mode else it wont work and always first check if the link works before saving to page else its just unneccesary extra work just met me know if you found out exactly how its work believe me its way faster than copy and pasting entire links. for sample this link Tunnel Snakes now open the context mode and you will see these signs[[ ]] now those are to 2 buttons right from the letter P on your keyboard i can use them in messages but also on pages looks more organized when people make edits on pages istead of entire links. you simply typ whatever you want 2 refert to BUT you place[[ in front of it and ]] at the end of what ur refering to, but confussing trying 2 let u understand is good as i can its jst a bit hard 2 explain. P.S. even if you have all followers (Dogmeats puppy glich) with fat mans and gattling lazers in Enclave Hellfire Armor (all fully repared) with Fawks at level 30 you cant kill Liberty Prime, so dont try it.

fallout 3, how i play the game[]

you say its about the game and it is. but if you say i play just for the guns then you are dead wrong. i spent so much time on that game that ive become attached to the charcters in it that i visit them make shure there ok give them Power Armor and good guns. i fight for good with the Brothorhood of steel to make the wasteland a better place and destroy those who are evil (thats why i dont have mesmatron) but i only use violence if nessary, i allways try to make an enemy a friend with my speech (the mesmatron would make that easier) Fawks, Dogmeats Puppy, and I (my usual team)will protect the wasteland and the ones we love in it to our last breath. you might fight with the tunnle snakes but im with the East Coast Brothorhood of Steel. I know im a veary big nerd but thats how i play the game.
