Re: Crusoe[]
I see where you are coming from, so I suppose I should explain why I think Carusoe is primarily a CSI reference. You're right that CSI does not have a character named Crusoe, but one of the main characters of CSI Miami, Horatio Caine, is played by the actor Daniel Carusoe, and Caine is almost always depicted wearing sunglasses and a black suit. Crusoe has a similar hairstyle to Caine, and wears grimy pre-war businesswear (which was black in Fallout 3 but isn't in New Vegas because of texture bugs) with sunglasses.
As for Clousseau and the Pink Panther, while Wild Wasteland does make New Vegas a sillier game, I don't think that in this case it's intended to be a bumbling inspector. Apart from removing Barnes and replacing him with Crusoe, Wild Wasteland doesn't really bring any levity to the Beyond the Beef quest line. Aiden4017 (talk) 04:26, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
