Congratulations on your 50'000th edit, and have a happy birthday. I urge you to take a break from editing and enjoy your day, you are working very hard here. Cheers, Gears of duty

Hello and Congratulations![]

You're very welcome. Wow ~ you made it! 50,000 edits is amazing, and with my measly 604, I am in awe of just how many edits that is.

I am wishing you the best on your special day. I have to echo Gears of Duty's sentiments in that I hope you are planning a well-deserved break from all that work!

My birthday? is not for quite some time, May 22nd. Maybe I will have 50,000 edits by then, lol! Somehow, I don't think that will happen, but it is an amusing thought to entertain =P Do you get 50,000 birthday spankings now? =D

Hartelijk gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag![]

I have finished the image for your userbox! It was very difficult all in all, and I have spent most of today doing it, finalising, checking images etc, but hopefully it was worth it :). I also decided not to change the colours in the end, and it was intentional not to because I didn't like any of the other variations I came up with:

And the final piece:

Happy birthday Jspoel! My profile pageCome and say hello

Wow, it fits perfectly :). I'm pleased that you like it. And once when I was leaving a message it was up the top: I didn't even realise I'd written it! Sorry, I've removed it for the sake of your privacy, my mistake :). Did you have a good day? My profile pageCome and say hello
Well, it was an honest mistake :). I'm glad you had a good day, now I have to think of something for Itachou... As for the Dutch, I see you have toned down the formality: I was a bit unsure how you would want me to address you, so that's why I went with that. I stayed up just to make sure you were happy with your presemt, so is it okay? Any changes that you want would be fine by me :) My profile pageCome and say hello
After a shaky start, I'm glad you now regard me as a friend of sorts :). I think you can tell I do too because of the effort I put in... Glad you had a good day Jspoel, and I hope to see you around, no doubt busy as usual after your day of rest ;). My profile pageCome and say hello

Have a good one Jspoel, maybe I should get off the bot and start catching you up hihi. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 23:27, October 8, 2011 (UTC)

Journal entries on quests pages[]

Yeah, I've already noticed. It's due to some parameters of {{Quest stage table}} sharing the name of some infobox parameters. I'll have the bot go over the affected pages again once it's finished its current run. Thanks for notifying me though. Happy (belated) birthday, by the way :) -- Porter21 (talk) 15:31, October 9, 2011 (UTC)

I did a short test run to see whether my script for fixing the journal entries would work; now it's back on its original script. You'll likely see the bot mess up the journal entries for a little while yet; it's easier for me to continue and fix the journal entries later than changing the original script in the middle of its run. -- Porter21 (talk) 15:37, October 9, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for reminding me - I noticed it earlier but forgot to put it on my fix list. -- Porter21 (talk) 17:46, October 9, 2011 (UTC)

Challenge infobox[]

Sure, shouldn't be a problem. I'll set it up tomorrow. -- Porter21 (talk) 16:48, October 9, 2011 (UTC)

First draft can be found here: {{Infobox challenge}}. Please let me know what you think. -- Porter21 (talk) 22:39, October 10, 2011 (UTC)
With the new infoboxes, name is optional (see this thread) - it's not needed on most pages (only if the pagename differs from the name that should be displayed in the infobox) hence I didn't include it in the "copy/paste" section. repeats should cover what ranks stood for when people used the perk infobox. -- Porter21 (talk) 00:00, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
The redlink was just a server cache issue - I purged the page and it's fine now. Regarding addition of the challenge infobox to pages: While it's usually no problem to have the bot work on a custom list of pages or a certain category, in this case there are some reasons why a manual addition would be better:
  • People did not always use the perk infobox for challenges, and even if they did, they did not necessarily use the same parameters for the same challenge attribute.
  • Some challenges and their corresponding perks share the same page; in this case at least one of the perk infoboxes (the one for the actual perk) would have to remain unchanged.
Hence I think this is better left to human judgement rather than having the bot create a mess.
The image stuff with the new infobox now works like this:
  • There is an option for the infobox ("imageoptional") which determines whether an upload button is displayed if no images are specified. {{Infobox achievement}} has this option activated, for example.
  • "empty" does indeed no longer work (it doesn't work for rows either). Basically there are 3 different cases for what can be entered with the image parameters:
    1. image is set to nothing (i.e. there's nothing on the right side of the equal sign) or not present on the page -> no image displayed.
      • If the infobox is configured to display an upload button (see above) -> upload button displayed.
    2. image is set to "@hide" -> no image displayed.
      • If the infobox is configured to display an upload button -> upload button not displayed (i.e. setting image to "@hide" can be used to hide the upload button).
    3. image is set to anything else -> image displayed.
I hope that's somewhat understandable :) -- Porter21 (talk) 13:02, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

icon size does work, but it's not something which is set up to be modifiable on a per-page basis (plus there are restrictions on its maximum value, so even if it were set up to be adjustable for individual pages it wouldn't have allowed you to do what you wanted to do). If you want to use the icon as the main image, you should do what you already did, i.e. specify the icon as image (or image and icon).

I'm also aware of the documentation mismatch. The documentation for standard parameters (i.e. "universal" parameters which are used by all infoboxes) is shared across the doc pages for all infoboxes, so I can either choose between having it correct for the old or for the new infoboxes. Since the majority of infoboxes hasn't been converted yet, I've left the old documentation in place for now. -- Porter21 (talk) 07:29, October 13, 2011 (UTC)

Bot[]

It is always in action, but it is far from complete. Think of it as ever evolving intelligent editor, each thing I see that needs correcting, keeps adding to it. As for the skills pages, I decided to do that myself - a bit of a break from adding to the bot (now it is up for discussion grrrr). User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar

I'm Stuck[]

Hi Jspoel,

I just wanted to say thank you for trying to help me with the little image at the end of the signature for my name; I must admit that I'm lost totally on that one. I couldn't figure it out. I did upload an image I wanted to use, hopefully you can see it. (the file name is MM01) and it's Marilyn Monroe in black and white, but it came out too large even though I changed the image size before saving, and I wasn't sure how to go about making the "talkpage link" you mentioned, which may be 99 percent of the problem. I did go with the violet for my name, as that was the color out of all the ones I tried that I liked the best, although I'm not sure of how much variety there is for the colors. I also see you can do cursive, as in JJ's and that is very pretty, but again, I think I would be totally lost as to what to do, since I seem to be hung up on this simple thing. I'm not very good at formatting things. If you're not busy... help? lol I'm totally stuck. But I love the images at the end, especially the vault girl ones, though I still want Marilyn on mine. Thank you for taking time out of your day today to try to help me format that, that was very much appreciated. I hope you are doing well and that you had a good birthday :o).
FalloutGirl (talk) 02:37, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

  • I think I got it now? The image is a bit tinier than I'd like, but I am not sure how to fix that without messing everything else all up again, lol.
    FalloutGirlUser:FalloutGirl 04:23, October 10, 2011 (UTC)
  • Ok, this is the final product, I finally got the image to a better size. What do you think? Thanks so very much for your help :o)

"Experimenting"[]

Hi Jspoel,

I don't know if it was experimenting so much as screwing up, but thanks for being nice about it and calling it experimenting, lol. I had already discovered that it led me to the wrong page and not my profile page, also, so I got some help from Yes-Man who was kind enough to help, because I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong...so I appreciate that edit you did, but he fixed that for me a bit earlier and I guess I forgot to leave the edited version on your page. As for the image, I guess she did look a little tall (*sob*). I was hoping she'd show up a bit better. But okay, you are the boss :o) And truthfully, I think it looks better that way, now that I'm looking at it from your perspective.

Thank you again for all of your help with the 'talk image' stuff! I'm glad you helped talk me into getting an image, you were the one who first mentioned it.
FalloutGirl (talk) 14:50, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

  • Yes, most was fixed earlier...I just now fixed the height with your code. Thank you again for being so helpful.

Corvega "Paradise"[]

Where are you getting the refernace for "Paradise", if its the Billboards Fallout 3 & New Vegas the slogan on them is Driving Paradise. It referse to the brand Corvega not a spacific automobile.

Is far as I can referance there are 4 kinds of Corvega, the Atomic V8 model, the unnamed 4 door, the Billboard only mentioned unnamed Bubble top (what I think you are refering to), and the Original corvega from the original Fallout.--Ant2242 16:36, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

Ulysses' mask redirects[]

Hi Jspoel,

Thanks for your help with the Ulysses mask page. I'm a little confused about the redirects and hope you can help. I created the page, but the history shows a whole list of previous edits. Does this mean that the page already existed? If so, why couldn't I find it? I pasted in all the content from my sandbox, but it says the page was made in September. Thought I'd ask you, as you mentioned the redirects.

Kind of wanted a page creation under my belt. :-) --FourWayDiablo(talk) 00:46, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Looking over things, I think I'm just getting confused about how this all works. Kastera said he moved the content, but didn't I see where to as the page didn't exist to move it to, except as a redirect. I'm sure there's a logic to it, but it's making my brain go funny. --FourWayDiablo(talk) 01:19, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks[]

Thanks my friend and you too, gelukkige verjaardag =), sorry little late, I was not there the 8th.

Also, I left The Vault for an indefinite period, so I wish you good luck and tell you that you have been a good friend here.

Tot binnenkort Jspoelstra ;)! Itachou [~talk~] 13:34, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

I detailed on my message to Guardian but since you want to know more, I will tell you why my friend =), copy paste with some changes.
Actually I got a promotion, I was appointed superviseur comptable (accounting supervisor), more money but more time working. I also met someone these days and that progresses more rapidly than expected (for the better). Also, I advance to the next level for my strength training, so now it happens once every two days.
These recent changes in my life took me considerable time and I don't think about being able to actually participate in the life of The Vault and other Wiki. I expected a twist of fate to really give myself fully to real life in the full sense of the term and not just go to work and return in my home, inexorably. I'm sorry to leave like that but I have everything in hands and I would like not messed up like the last time, something I talk with Guardian, about music.
It's probably not the last time we speak but the last time before a long time. See you one of these days my friend and keep up the good works, as always ;). Itachou [~talk~] 13:59, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

I'm also sad to leave, but sadly everything has an end, the best is to enjoy it a maximun before the end, what life taught me everytime.

For the past a long story but I wanted to be a musician, but one of my best friend where I was doing with him dropped me at an unwelcome time and I lost motivation in this direction, and also the hope of any improvement in my live.

Well, it's may be not a farewell, but it's close enough. People more talented than me are still here, I'm not worried. Haha, I'm just a strand of wheat in the cornfield =). Bye Jspoelstra, and thanks for everything. Itachou [~talk~] 14:38, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Questin' Mark page[]

Hi Jspoel, was just wondering whether or not we really need the "Image needed" box for the Questin' Mark challenge because it doesn't have an image asscociated with it in the game. Unless we just use the generic Trophy and Flowers Vault boy that goes with ther perk challenges.

-Fair enough, might as well use the image for all of them considering it seems to be the one used for all challenges, or at least the ones that reward perks.

~Hipster Dash~ --The Pony Overlords are watching 18:46, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Itachou[]

As far as I know, achievements and trophies do not have baseids - have you seen a page which states otherwise? Sad news regarding Itachou, but real life is more important than online activities after all. -- Porter21 (talk) 20:19, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

That's a challenge which adds an achievement upon completion :) I.e. there's both a challenge (with an ID) and an achievement (without an ID) with that name. If you click on the "..." button to the right of "Reward Script", you'll see that upon completion of that challenge both XP and an achievement are given. I'd put both a challenge and an achievement infobox on that page, similar to how quests which reward an achievement have both a quest and an achievement infobox. -- Porter21 (talk) 20:56, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Tommy gun[]

The Tommy gun page used to be disambig page, but then I made into an overview page. Would you mind looking over it to see if it's good to go, kind of like a peer review? --Kastera (talk) 23:15, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Will you take a look at User:XxAarchangeLxX? He is doing some odd things. He has wiped his talk page twice, and just created a page on the mainspace that didn't belong, a custom weapon. I tried to let him know that he needed to use a custom user page for something like that but I don't think he understood because shortly after User:Zeke's Hand Cannon registered, which was the name of his page that got deleted. I don't think hes malicious, just confused. BILLYOCEAN Wanna talk? 23:46, October 14, 2011 (UTC)

Liberty Prime sound files[]

You are indeed right, that id the problem. The only way to keep them off there is to permanently have them linked to from a page. You can do what I did with the dialogue files and redirects for the orphaned pages (User:GhostAvatar/MSG index). User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 16:17, October 18, 2011 (UTC)

Hi[]

Maybe you left me a message or perhaps its automated. Any way, looks like congratulations are in order so congratulations and thanks for your contributions to the Fallout community and this resource. --Sativarg 01:22, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

Redirecting images[]

I am doing it so my bot doesn't pick up the image names as false positives. I am also adding in the pages that link to the old image names, so once it has run through and changed all them, they will show up on the orphaned pages, which I will then delete the old image redirects. Essentially the redirects are a temp thing since I am doing all the gamebryo weapons in a batch.

And yes, the way you added the sound files, it was linking to the page and not the file. So it didn't show as the file was needed, what I have done should remove them for tomorrow. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 22:20, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

Weight.[]

Hi there, Sorry to bother you again, but this thought was crossing my mind. Perhaps it is silly I don't know. In many articles, the weight of weapons is referred to as pounds. As Fallout is a worldwide game, couldn't it very well be kilograms. I just undid an edit where I switched the word "units" to pounds. As I thought about it more, using "units" would make more sense. Tell me what you think. Cheers, HighFiveBearLeftHighFiveBearRight 01:01, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up!:)

Metro protectron‎[]

Just to let you know, I think it would be better to direct these to the overview page, just in case they show up in future games. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 17:26, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

Probably best to do as I did with the P90c and transclude the sections to the page. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 17:59, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

Inappropriate avatar?[]

Hi Jspoel, how are you? This user has a gas masked man with a Waffen-SS hat on... I felt, that following the recent spate of problems with Nazism, I should ask him to change it, but what do you think? User:Felix_Brehh My profile pageCome and say hello 20:49, October 21, 2011 (UTC)

Waffen SS wasn't even necessarily a "Nazi" element, they just happen to be a branch of the Nazi German army. The reason for Luckmann's ban was not the fact that he was a national socialist, nor any similar iconography, such as eagles, but that he had "racist" terms such as "aryan" and "master race" in his profile. I do not see a problem with that avatar. Hugs MadeMan2 "Say 'ello to my little friend!"

Alright, sorry to bother you but, if I were to change a page's name to have a formal title such as Mr. or Mrs would that be acceptable? eg. Jobs to Mr. Jobs? By the way the character is mentioned only.

Lol, you got ahead of me with the water page, I was thinking that as well. But didn't think about the alcohol page. But I am seeing a lot of overview pages with only one item in it for consumables. This isn't just restricted to consumables as well, things like the deathclaw gauntlet could also do with a merge. I think these could also be combined with other gauntlets like the mantis and yao guai etc. But they all need to be looked at and see where things can be combined into a more general overview page. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 03:09, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

I have removed the carrot and potato from the page, it was my mistake and late that I suggested that we merge vegetables into a fruits overview page hihi. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 18:12, October 22, 2011 (UTC)
Lolz, I didn't actually realise hihi. And yeah I think we have made an impact, although my edits have suffered due to always adding to the bot, but it all benefits the wikia. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 18:22, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

I was just cleaning up the layout of Fat Man (GRA). The comparison table is still smashed into the infobox (as it was before I started). It looked okay in preview, apart from the blank space. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks, --FourWayDiablo(talk) 18:41, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

I tried a refresh, but I'm still seeing what is shown in your picture; half the comparison table hidden under the infobox, with a button on the right to reveal the whole table. It may just be my pc, I guess, but it doesn't look right at all. --FourWayDiablo(talk) 19:05, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

Okay then. But compare Fat Man (Fallout: New Vegas). The spacing looks the same to me, but the table is below the infobox. Ghost Avatar has just commented about the table length, so I guess that's it. Thought both tables were the same, though. --FourWayDiablo(talk) 20:11, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for rerouting my Deus Ex account Jspoel. Not on it as often now Itachou's gone, but still thanks. I accidentally used it a few times, so I thought it was best to redirect them to avoid confusion. My profile pageCome and say hello 19:41, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

No, unfortunately not. We effectively spoke everyday for three months, so I thought it would make sense to keep in touch. I hope he'll check back on my birthday on Tuesday, but I doubt it. It would have been very hard for him to go in the first place, so I'm not sure he would want to read the farewell messages... Do you see what I mean? My profile pageCome and say hello
Exactly. I hope he does :), then again, I think we all do, apart from maybe Nitty ;). Anyway, my turn, why have you changed the Vault Boy and minigun to the speech bobblehead? Something I keep meaning to ask. My profile pageCome and say hello

Thanks for the birthday congrats!

Armor page conversion[]

Well, most armor images are hitting the width limit, not the height one, so I don't think increasing the limit will have much of an effect (but I've raised it a bit nonetheless). As for the icon offset (the unused space at the top), it's something Avatar requested to avoid having the icon overlap the main image in infoboxes with transparent images, so it's probably best if you discuss with him whether this infobox should use the icon offset or not (and how big the offset should be if any). -- Porter21 (talk) 16:41, October 23, 2011 (UTC)

Promotional crossover content[]

Hello, Jpoelstra. Can you please look at this forum topic? Your opinion would be highly appreciated. veryblackraven 07:21, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

I only added navigation boxes and all the additional characters I added where involved in side quests, it deserves more editing than just the 10 or so names it has currently. It should be like the New Vegas and Fallout character boxes as there were more main characters than the ones in the current navbox

Sure thing, I'll put up my actual poll now, I'll disable the comments, but I'll leave it there as it was the joke for this week. - Crazy Sam10 Talk PollShadowAttackSmallAni 15:41, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

Fallout 3 navbox[]

Can I please continue to edit the Fallout 3 navbox as all of the other game navboxes have some very small characters in them such as Dixon in New Vegas. I only added people involved with major quests so can I re-edit it please?

Thank you :)

Why lock the page

Block[]

I have blocked Cjbeattie for a month based on his past contributions, this is not the first time that he's been in this kind of edit war with an admin or other users. All 4 times he's continuously undone edits insisting on inserting false information.---bleep196- 19:17, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

I wasn't as much looking at his block logs as i was looking at his contributions page, from what i can see most of his edits have been involved in edit wars with others over information that he believed was true, but was actually not, or was not supposed to be inserted into articles, and every-time someone came in and undid it it seems as though he would go right back and undo that persons undo. And from what i can see he's done it 4 times now, so he's a repeat offender who's only really been banned once, and a chat ban at that. So essentially he just wasn't caught, or punished for his actions till now. The final call is up to you on the ban time, i won't press it any further beyond what i just presented. ---bleep196- 00:28, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

Weapon mod images[]

It was something I brought up during the testing period of the infobox with Poter. As such, there was an extra parameter added that allowed for the off setting of the icon to the main image. The infobox template was coded to a default of 15px, without option of it being overridden via a parameter on the pages infobox. I have corrected it with what I think is the correct way, so in instances like this we can adjust it on a needed only case per page. But, I would wait for the go ahead from Porter before using it on any more pages. I am just going to drop him a message to let him know what modifications I have done. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 19:38, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

Making the offset customizable is fine; I'm going to change other infoboxes with predominantly transparent images so they support this as well. I've also changed the default setting for the icon offset in {{Infobox item}} to "@outside" so overlapping shouldn't be an issue. -- Porter21 (talk) 13:01, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

Hello

Skill magazines.[]

I was under the assumption that skill magazines are non-notable since they're found everywhere and are a renewable resource. Skål! 20:16, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

I thought that was the whole point of having pages dedicated to fixed locations for items such as skill magazines, etc.? Seems redundant to also have that information on different scattered pages. As for my edits... When I first became active I was doing a lot of major/semi-major re-writes (Not just removing information and minor edits like I am now). I wanted to join a project or two but I didn't have time because of work/school. I have even less time now that I'm having to deal with the courts and so the quality and range of my edits have suffered. (The main reason why I haven't even tried becoming a moderator/admin is because of how little time I usually have to spend on this wiki). Maybe if life isn't so hectic for me in the future, I can sit down and dedicate parts of my days to making more serious and beneficial changes to The Vault. Until then? I have to work with what time and resources at my disposal. I hope you can understand. Skål! 21:34, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

Hello Jspoel,

I'd like your views on the sub-categories added to Characteristics here and on other pages.

I don't like them, for the reasons given here, but would welcome another opinion on the matter.

Thanks for your time, --FourWayDiablo(talk) 17:55, October 26, 2011 (UTC)

I'll take your silence to mean you're not particularly interested in this. >_< No problem.--FourWayDiablo(talk) 18:26, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Didn't hear back, so didn't know if you read it. Anyway, you're an admin! It's your sworn duty to reply to trivial and annoying questions on a daily basis! ^_^

Problem is, Nemerian hasn't replied either. I've no intention of chasing him around and re-editing all the sections. I wanted to get some sort of consensus to avoid a cycle of tiresome reverts. The first "Specifications" header, at least, is unnecessary.

All the best, --FourWayDiablo(talk) 18:51, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Case by case, then. I'd still argue that in this instance "characteristics" and "specifications" essentially mean the same thing, making the latter redundant and unsightly. --FourWayDiablo(talk) 21:25, October 28, 2011 (UTC)

Greatly damaged page due to vandalism[]

There is a vandal on an I.P, 50.80.150.240 who vandalized the console commands page for Gamebryo. The guy placed other game name, racist content, sexual innuendo into the page. I hardly continue to revert his edits, but he seemed a 'skillful' editor. When I revert his edits, his edits are still shown. A month block would rest this vandal. --Gauzz Rifle (Animus 2.0) (talk  Â· contribs) 07:58, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Rank/icons[]

Well, that's weird... all my badges are still there, it's the the value that is mucked up. According my calculations, I should have 6690, but I don't. I'll maybe wait a day. just to see if it's a bug in Wikia's servers. If not, I'll report it to Wikia. Do you know where I should contact?

On the topic of icon images, thanks for all the work you've done on it. I started the night before last on it, but then I had to make my poll and I totally neglected it yesterday, so hopefully I can do something before you get to all of it ;). --Kastera (talk) 13:38, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Strategies[]

Hi Jspoel,

As an example, in the Notes section of Disguised Frumentarius, do PC console commands count as strategy/cheats? What's the policy on this?

All the best, --FourWayDiablo(talk) 19:23, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

Okay. On the same subject, the Notes here about the pop-up messages. I just rewrote it, but wasn't sure how much to leave in. Maybe should be left as a statement ending "...minutes to clear", with no tips added? --FourWayDiablo(talk) 20:52, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

Tweaked the Laurifer Gladiator notes. This "No Strategy" rule is getting blurry. ^_^ The more I look at the PC console one, the less I'm sure. If he dies (or e.g. Dhatri or whoever), then that's just a thing that happened and bad luck for the player. Is PC resurrection intended by the designers? --FourWayDiablo(talk) 21:36, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

I'm certainly not arguing its usefulness, but that's my point. "Keep reloading saves until the slots come up three oranges" is a strategy, "Fast travel to location X repeatedly" or "Type this until the Frumentarius lives and you get what you want" are basically the same thing. They are perfectly acceptable ways to play the game, but should they be noted on Vault pages? --FourWayDiablo(talk) 22:40, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

Archiving[]

Yeah, I had the same issue with mine and had to do it manually. I assume it is a issue with the archive being double digits. The problem is, that I only know basic JavaScript, so I doubt I will be able to do much. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 01:00, November 10, 2011 (UTC)

If I am reading this right (which I am probably not), it seems the query to determine the current archive structure is set to 1 digit. So it counts up from 1 and reaches its limit at 9, then never counts passed 9. So if you have more than 9 archive pages, it will always count to 9 then adds 1 and try to make an archive 10. There needs to be some kind of if switch, that changes the variable to 2 digits if archive 9 exists.
And I don't see anything wrong with Poters talk page, seems to be working Ok for me in all browsers. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 01:26, November 10, 2011 (UTC)
I noticed a minor mistake in what I posted on his talk page, but since the issue is not showing for me, can you confirm that it is Ok now. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 01:30, November 10, 2011 (UTC)
It only counts up to 9, then it adds plus 1 to create the new page. So it can create a double digit, but not count it when it is determining what the new archive page should be. It simply gets stuck at trying to create page 10. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 01:52, November 10, 2011 (UTC)
