Toxic goo is a consumable item in Fallout 76.
Characteristics[]
Toxic goo can be consumed when it is desirable to have a high rad level (and potentially lowered hit points), such as to take advantage of Radicool, Mystery Meat, Ghoulish or Nerd Rage! It has no crafting purposes.
Locations[]
- Several flasks of toxic goo can be found in the laboratory section of the West Tek research center.
- In the decontamination arches there is a puddle of toxic goo which can be collected.
- Additionally, the FEV vats contain puddles of toxic goo.
Notes[]
- The goo flasks can be obtained from the FEV vats when activating them, in the same way one would obtain dirty water, though this option was disabled to fix a bug in patch 30. It was brought back in patch 31.[Non-game 1]
- Drinking toxic goo will not irradiate players if they have the perk Aquagirl/Aquaboy equipped. It must be unequipped for Toxic Goo to work.
- Toxic goo is classified as a food or drink item even though it doesn't restore thirst or hunger, and as such benefits from Thru-hiker and the grocer's backpack mod.

I saw a big reddit thread on it sobringing that functionality back for patch 31. Sorry for the inconvenience."
