Fasnacht sausage is a consumable item in the Fallout 76 update Wild Appalachia.
Characteristics[]
A Helvetian delicacy, usually served during Fasnacht. It is a spiced blood sausage made with meat of questionable freshness and origin. It satisfies a large amount of hunger and health while temporarily increasing maximum HP with minimal radiation.

- Can be crafted at any cooking station with the correct ingredients after learning the recipe.
- Some can be found near the Gleeful Butcher in Helvetia during the limited-time Fasnacht Day event.
- The Fasnacht Collectron station has a 10.8% chance to collect one each interval only when the Fasnacht Day event is enabled.

If a Fasnacht sausage is eaten while the mutation Carnivore and the perk Strange in Numbers are active the player will get a health buff of +100 max HP. This can be further increased to +135 max HP if the fully fed status effect is reached. The maximum of +145 max HP can be reached if the player also uses the 2 star perk Rejuvenated. The comparable (albeit a little weaker) Herbivore alternative is the tato salad.
Bugs[]
- Fasnacht sausage spoils uncharacteristically fast for a cooked meat item due to using a spoilage value normally assigned to raw meat items.
- Prior to Patch 25, the Fasnacht Collectron was not able to collect Fasnacht sausage or Fasnacht donuts at any time due to a bug.
