Cranberry cobbler is a consumable item in Fallout 76.

Characteristics[]

This dish is a thick-crusted cobbler made with cranberries. It gives a moderate boost to earned XP while moderately healing HP, satisfying hunger, and giving a medium dose of radiation.

Crafting[]

Locations[]

Can be crafted at a cooking station with the correct ingredients after having picked up cranberries for the first time.

Notes[]

  • The XP bonus does not stack with any other XP boosting food or drink. It will, however, stack with XP boosts from lunchboxes and bonus XP community events.
  • Cranberry cobbler does not count as a pie for challenges.

Behind the scenes[]

In October 2022, a Reddit post from user Tommaton questioned why cranberry cobbler did not count as a pie for challenges. According to community manager Devann McCarthy, when this question was raised at an internal Bethesda meeting, it ignited a debate amongst the development team as to whether or not it should count as a pie. Devann fielded input from the community; in general, Reddit responses tended to reject the notion, while Discord responses were more favorable to the cobbler counting as a pie. The community responses were slated to "decide the fate" of cranberry cobbler in a future update.[1][2]

With the Nuka-World on Tour update in December 2022, the conflict was settled with the introduction of a new daily challenge: "Eat a Cobbler, which is not a Pie."
