They Went That-a-Way[]

No more training wheels[]
This quest seems to be a nudge to get the player out of the Goodsprings area. Without realizing it, the new players are forced to lock their character traits/attributes/skills when completing this quest in a conventional way. Just Sayin'74.77.132.100 22:19, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

- Because it's an unmarked quest. We have no way to know what the quest name is, so the FNV Official Guide tells us what it's called. --Kastera (talk) 02:30, August 22, 2011 (UTC)

- My understanding of it is that they're basically quests that just don't show up. IIRC they have a name and everything in the GECk and they use that. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"

- We haven't used the guides to dictate content here for a while now. We use the editing software for Fallout (the G.E.C.K.) to confirm all information. We only use the guide to confirm tidbits of trivia information, and even that information is rather dubious since the guides were created by a second-party contractor, as well as the guides being created before their respective games were even finalized and ready to release.

a bug?[]
So when I talked to Barton I responded in an uninterested fashion and when he told me where to go I said Sorry to dangerous, and then I went right up there killed the geckos, looted the containers, and stole the hat of the dead guy. Then I looked through my scope down to where Barton was and he was still there ducked down cowering. And when I ran back down the hill and walked up to Barton the game froze as I got close.
