Little Lamplight, Garden Gnomes[]

Oh, don't get me started on the Little Lamplighters.. those bastards are lucky that they're essential. Honestly. I have attempted to raid that place many times before.. and failed each one. I have tried the whole 'save & pickpocket' theory, but again that's so time consuming. And what if they only drop them when they do die. What then?! I can't handle nor process the thought of missing out on obtainable teddy bears, even if it's by 'wrong' means! I won't stand for that!

Let's see how those 'innocent' little garden gnomes like it when I cheat them at checkers, proceed to tie them to railway tracks, take pictures for the fun of it and post them on the internet! Huh?! And, you know what this all comes down to? The kids at Little Lamplight. It's all their fault. Everything. They were plotting against me. The whole time. They will get what's coming to them. I don't actually have that DLC. I don't have any of them.. legally. (I had half of Dead Money illegally, but they patched it.) So, at the moment, my teddy bear rebellion is going to have to be put on hold for any non-Mojave Wasteland places. Plus, they don't like travelling. Megaton & Tenpenny Booth[]

How to get booth the Megaton house and the Tenpenny Tower suite. Talk to Sims at Megaton and agree to disarm the bomb, with or with out the speech challenge. Disarm the bomb, then collect your Megaton house key and deed. Trade with Ms Brown at Crater side Supply and buy the home improvements you'd like i.e. The Juke Box. Open your PC console ~ input the command " player. startQuest 7b234 ". The Tenpenny Tower suite, with the same Theme and Improvements as the ones you bought in megaton will be yours. Just use the Unlock command on the Suite's door there after it will also be yours robot butler & all.

Adding videos[]

You had asked for help with how to add a video. Easiest way to do it is when you're editing a page, click on the last button on the right at the top of the editing window that says "Add a video" when you hover the mouse over it. This is for the standard editor. I don't know what it looks like for the Rich Text Editor or the new one that Wikia is still testing.

In the window that pops up, give it the URL to the video you want, such as this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhzA9dMRX_s

Click on Next. In the "Video display options", make sure the name looks good because once you upload the video, you can't rename it. An admin will have to delete the video and then someone will have to re-upload it with the new name.

Make any other adjustments you need, and then click on Add a video. When it's done, you'll get the "Success" message and click on Return to editing.

The video will then show up in the editing window, but if you don't need it on that page, you can delete it and use it where you do need it. —RRabbit42 (leave a message) 05:27, August 1, 2011 (UTC)

Technically, you don't upload the video here at all. It stays on the site you link to. All you are doing is creating a shortcut to it that you can use on this wiki. Wikia supports 18 video sharing sites, so they probably have no plans on adding video storage here here. Killing everyone[]

Apparently, he's not the only person who thinks this way, check out Fallout Answers (just type in "kill everyone"). But, as I said, he thought it was a first-person shooter. The whole "having to talk to NPCs" thing just bored him. -LawdyMissMaudy 15:53, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

Well, there are consequences...[]

although there's a kind of balance. If you kill all the shopkeepers and people who can repair your stuff, it doesn't really matter coz you are getting all the loot you can carry. But you may lose some or all of your companions who are faction-oriented. Also, you can kill ALL of the main NPCs in this game, which eventually makes it impossible to complete the game. Although I was reading that you can kill Caesar and still finish the game, and I'm not sure if you can kill Yes-Man? I haven't tried.

So I guess you can turn Fallout: New Vegas into a first-person shooter if you really want to.

I started playing with linear games like King's Quest, and was enchanted to see the story unfolding before me. I tend to get bogged down by too many choices. In fact, I'm a little too dependent on the wiki to get the ending I want. I only went with my gut when doing Arcade's quest, because I feel that you have to deal with your past before you can "move on". And then I was very saddened by his ending, coz I liked the char a lot.

I was kind of uptight like this in text-based RPGs as well, although I loosened up as I went along (it was a TinyMUSH, btw).-LawdyMissMaudy 11:10, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

N.E. was a pre-War company, the rest is mystery. They used the same holograms of Big MT (also Vera Keyes hologram was created in Big MT) and since Big MT was created the holograms technology. Also, since even the Big MT say that they can't imagine the cost to turn the holograms like a means of defense, I think N.E. spend all their money in this project. For monochromatic, we talk about light, not color. The hologram are made by monochomatic light since the hologram often flickered - see Monochrome. OWB holodisks[]

I altered some of your edits on the OWB holodisks pages for a reason. I don't think an infobox incomplete template is needed because, when there's a formid, the infobox is complete enough. Rest is some irrelevant value and weight number. Also characteristics is unneeded, it's just a simple holotape. And the holodisk is not listed in the GECK as a quest item, so that category is wrong. And also a stub is not really needed, there's only so much you can tell about it; if the location's there with some explanation how to get here, that's enough to do without the stub. • I've taken a look at the FNV holodisks and notes pages and some add-on pages to compare, but there you'll see that mostly just the formid, location and transcript is mentioned, without a stub or infobox incomplete on the page. So I think that should be enough. Related quests in the infobox is not standard (it's not in the creation template), so if that's missing it's not worth an infobox incomplete. And characteristics is also not included in the creation template. All those things are optional. I admit that adding a quest relation (and of lesser importance characteristics) is ok but like I said, not worth a infobox incomplete. If you want to add quest relation or chars, than add some data to it, don't place a stub. And the category quest item is wrong for the pages you did; they need a quest item checkmark in the GECK, otherwise it's not a quest item. Maybe it's not listed in the policy, but this is the guideline. I'll take a look at Sink (computer), he should have a formid. Jspoel 20:44, August 17, 2011 (UTC)

Van Buren[]

Please don't add sections unless you have something to fill them with, even required sections. This is only really an issue with Van Buren as not all the info is available or will ever become available. I would suggest using the "what links here" to find out which design document holds information about the page and then copy it over to our format. 19:39, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

Well the easiest way is as I have said above, use the "what links here" (bottom bar under the my tools menu). The look for the design documents that link to that page. Once you have found the design documents that has the relevant info, simply copy the info over into the relevant sections. The edit on the X-8 Data Retrieval test wasn't mine that I can remember. I don't even play on PC, I am a PS3 player. If it shows I edited that section, I may have just fixed someone else's bug to reduce errors in spelling/grammar. If you do want it to be re-worded so it is coherent I am the man to fix it. I may be ale to make sense of what that user posted and work it into something that makes a bit more sense to anyone looking at the Wiki. I have a list of a lot of my major edits on my profile page if you'd like to check over some work that was done by myself recently. After reviewing this posted bug, I think I made a little sense of what the initial intent of the post was and tried to modify it accordingly. I try to be a thorough as possible with my edits, and generally keep them limited to large, and legit edits. But when I get bored from time to time I check spelling and grammar too. I see you're on the Resident Evil Wiki. I have been playing RE since the first one came out in 96', it was the reason I bought a PS1 in the first place. I may have to head over there, I've logged WAY more hours in the Resident Evil series than the Fallout series, and I am at 1000+ hours on Fallout if that's any indication of how much I enjoy both series. I appreciate all your input, and feel free to check up on my edits from time to time and let me know if I made any huge errors, or if it is difficult to understand. I play RE5 on PS3, and also bought a GC specifically for the RE series as it was not being released for the PS2 at the time. I am certain I bought it for Resident Evil 4 which didn't come out for PS2 for I believe something like 11 months. I own Resident Evil 1 (Remake), Resident Evil 2 (Port), Resident Evil 3 (Port) Resident Evil 4, and Resident Evil 0 for the GameCube, Code Veronica, and Outbreak File #1 & #2 for the PS2, and RE5 for the PS3. I also own a longbox copy of RE1 for the PS1 in mint condition, and I have downloaded RE1 (Directors Cut), RE2, and RE3 from the Playstation Network. Personally I loved Code Veronica and I am stoked they are re-releasing CV and RE4 as a two-pack deluxe edition, remastered in HD for the 360 & PS3 sometime this fall. I've got two kids and a wife who own my TV downstairs so I rarely get to log on. But I will add you within the next few days, so just message me if you see me on and we can play whatever. I have every trophy for RE5 with the exception of the Versus Mode trophies, and the trophy for beating Lost in Nightmares on Pro. We made it to Wesker and the server kicked us off and I haven't had the motivation to play that again. Only 6 enemies, but not nearly enough ammo to kill them all. I hate running... :)

The fact is, it is mentioned in the background as containing it. Plus there is no evidence in the Fallout universe that Strontium-90 is in fact radioactive. Adding real world information to a pages content is irrelevant. 03:33, August 30, 2011 (UTC)

They are not wrong. It is in fact mentioned in the background section that it contains stronium. And there is no evidence of it being toxic. Nuka-Cola plant terminal entries lists the only symptoms for the current formula as being dizziness, nausea and impaired vision. The deaths you are referring to, happened during the test phase and where with different isotope (Isotope CE772 and Isotope CE770). Of which there is no evidence that either of these test isotopes are stronium 90, only that the final isotope used in the production run was stronium 90, which is only known from i believe dialogue with Sierra Petrovita. 04:02, August 30, 2011 (UTC)

THREE English courses? Are you majoring in English? Coz otherwise, that's just crazy.

If these are writing courses, then part of their purpose is to teach you the proper use of punctuation. If they're lit courses, then not. But most profs have preferences. The thing is, not all punctuation rules are hard and fast. There is a lot of choice involved. You might want to ask one or all of your profs if they have a style or grammar guide they prefer that you consult.

Eats, Shoots and Leaves is delightful, but very talky. Not a quick consult at all. She does have some nice illustrations of how the use of various punctuation marks can completely change the meaning of a sentence.

The truth is you can generally get by with commas and periods for most occasions. Also, the problem punctuation marks these days aren't colons and semicolons, but dashes and ellipses. We tend to overuse them. Also, many people don't distinguish between the hyphen, which is one space long: - , and the dash, which is two spaces: --. A hyphen is a mid-word connector. A dash sets off a part of a sentence. Emily Dickenson used nothing but dashes in her poetry, but if you are not Emily Dickenson, every time you want to use a dash, consider whether a colon or semicolon might not be more appropriate. As for ellipses, I would only use them in an academic paper when omitting a part of a quote.
